When You're Working - Cole
RB/N - Random Boy Name
I smiled in awe of the little boy in front of me as he continued to turn around in a circle. Of course he was being assisted by the turning board, but this kid had potential to become someone in the dancing industry. After his turns slowed down and he was able to gracefully leap out of his pirouettes, he gleamed at me with an adorable smile. "How did I do, Ms. Y/N?" He wondered, his six year old voice high and full of hope.
I chuckled, "You did amazing, RB/N! Are you sure you aren't professional?" I teased, placing my hands on my hips and looking at him. He nodded, "But my mommy says I can be!"
I grinned, "I think you can be, too."
The boy shouted 'yes!' as loud as he possibly could before turning his direction to the new race at the door. Cole stood there, watching the practice, and smiling at me. "Ooh, is that your boyfriend?" RB/N winked playfully. I laughed and snatched the kid in my arms, tickling his side and tossing him lightly in the air. His giggles filled the room and I softly placed him down, now seeing Cole stepping inside the room rather than waiting outside. I knew he was worried about me playing around with the kid since there was a boot on my foot, but I ignored his glance and directed RB/N to the door. "Great session today! You're getting better!" I called out, watching as he gave me a thumbs up before prancing away.
Before I could turn to face Cole, his arms wrapped around my waist and he swayed me side to side, his chin resting on my shoulder. "You should really stay off your foot," he advised. I looked ahead, staring in the mirror at us. He was also looking in the mirror and I grinned, turning in his arms and wrapping mine around his neck.
With a peck to his lips, I retracted from his grasp and walked to the opposite side of the studio to begin cleaning up the equipment. I had grabbed a quite heavy box when Cole rushed over, "Here, let me get that," he said, taking it from my arms and walking it to where it belonged. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, looking around the studio, "You alright?" He called, sauntering over to me once more. I glared at him, "What would you say if I told you I was a ninja?" I wondered.
Cole raised an eyebrow, "What?"
"If I was a ninja. Like what would you do if I just told you that?"
He shrugged, "I don't know. Why?"
"Because I can take care of myself. If I told you I was a ninja, and you believed me, you would let me take care of myself. It's a broken foot, Cole. I'm allowed to lift heavy things and spin kids around. It kind of comes with the job."
"I'm just trying to help you out."
"I know, but maybe do it when it doesn't interfere with my job requirements. Please?"
He nodded, "Yeah, I guess I can do that."
I smiled and walked over to him, throwing my elbow on his shoulder and grinning at him in the mirror, "Great, now, what do you want to do while I'm on break?"
A smirk formed on Cole's face and he spun me to face him, picking me up so my legs wrapped around his waist. "I have a few ideas," he grinned, a hint of micheviousness in his eyes.
