When You Meet Again- Lloyd
A/N
(Y/N) is your name
(H/C) means hair color
Cole Brookstone is my brother.
Everyday I repeat those words in my brain. Replay. Replay. Replay. Replay.
Cole gave me his number and made me text him everyday. He comes over to practice volleyball at my club and always comes to my games. I don't play with EBF/N anymore. I got boosted to a higher division. And I'm still debating on whether to call Bradley Hines or not. Cole is pushing me to, he says I have talent. But I don't know what to believe anymore.
Texts:
C- Hey (Y/N), come down to Ninjago City. Dress casually. We're going out.
'Okay. Coming.' I responded.
C- See you soon.
I rolled off my bed. It was 3:00. I got home from volleyball practice an hour ago. I took a shower and plopped on my bed to listen to music. Now I'm here.
I trudged to my dresser and unfolded a green half top that wasn't tight, it flowed. I then pulled out black skinny jeans and black combat boots. I tied my (H/C) hair into a high ponytail and stuffed my green phone into my back pocket.
I slid twenty dollars into my back pocket just in case. Then I ran out my house door. I lived with my Aunt Kelly.
I walked to the bus stop in front of my volleyball club. I used to practice at this time in the day but since I was boosted to a higher division, I don't.
I haven't talked to EBF/N in a few days, ever since she said things at the tournament. But I really hope we can make it up, I just don't know when or how.
I leaped onto the bus that was just ready to leave, sitting in the closest seat to the front, I waited to arrive in the city. It was a good thirty minute ride, consisting of me doing literally nothing, at all.
Finally, I hopped off the bus, seeing my 'brother' standing at the bus stop. I smiled and walked to him, expecting to know why I'm here.
"Now why am I here?" I asked, not having any patience, Cole rolled his eyes, "Hi to you too." he chuckled, pulling me in for a hug. After the meeting three days ago, he got my number and texted me. I met him at a restaurant and we talked for hours, getting to know each other. It was strange that we were siblings but never really knew one another, but we're tight now. As much as two teenagers can be, anyways.
"How would you feel about meeting dad again?" Cole asked with concern in his voice.
My face lit up like a light bulb and Cole laughed. He pulled out his phone and typed in a number. Lloyd's picture came up.
"She said yes. We're on our way now." Cole spoke into the phone.
I heard the magnification of a voice but I couldn't hear what they said.
Cole pressed the end call button and shoved the black phone into his pocket. He offered me his hand and I graciously accepted. Then he formed a brown dragon with his powers and I jumped back and slowly stepped away.
"Don't worry. He won't hurt you. I promise."
"Cole... That's--that's a dragon..." I said shivering.
Cole walked over to me and picked me up. He placed me on the... thing. Then he sat in front of me. I wrapped my hands around his waist and hid my face in his back. Lift off.
I pretty much had my eyes closed the whole entire ride, all before we landed in my old village. I spotted the ninja standing in front of a house. When the dragon landed, I jumped off and ran behind Lloyd. I hid behind his back.
"She afraid of dragons too?" the one in red asked.
"I think it's worse than I was." Cole said laughing.
"I'm staying behind Lloyd now." I sternly said.
Lloyd started to laugh followed by the others.
"We should tell you our names and why were here." the one in blue suggested.
I nodded.
"You know Lloyd and Cole. I'm Kai." the red one said.
"Jay." the blue one said.
"I am Zane." the one in white said.
"Got it." I said.
The door to the house we were standing in front of opened. Out stepped a man that looked a lot like my dad. I smiled and pulled Lloyd's arm back, needing something to sink my excitement into, and my nails found the green ninja's arm.
"Cole! Good to see you son!" he said and hugged my brother. I was waiting for him to remember me.
My dad glanced at me holding Lloyd's arm. I waited for his reaction, Cole must not have told him about me.
"Y/N? Cole?" he asked, confused. He looked at me, then glancing at Cole. Cole gave his shoulder a light push, stepping towards me.
"Y/N!" he yelled in an extremely happy voice.
I laughed and ran into his open arms. He spun me around.
"It's been so long." he said.
"I missed you so much."
"I did too."
My father and I pulled apart from the hug. I looked at Cole who was standing with his arms crossed and smiling.
"When did you find each other?" my dad asked Cole and I.
"About three days ago." I replied.
"Where was that?" he asked.
"Y/N plays volleyball. I saw her at her tournament." Cole told him.
"Volleyball. Great sport. How's Aunt Kelly?"
"She's great." I nodded, pursing my lips.
"How old are you now?"
"Seventeen."
"Ah. Well let's not stay outside. Everyone come inside. I have a pot of lemon-sweet tea on the stove." My dad said inviting us inside.
I walked with Cole inside our old house. So many old memories. I sat on the piano bench where my mom used to teach me play. I began to play a melody and my dad was surprised I remembered the song. He said it used to be my favorite song.
Time Skip: Two Hours- 5pm
I talked with my dad and the guys for two hours, the time was growing late and we had nothing left to chat about.
I hugged my dad goodbye and promised to visit him soon, before walking out the door with the ninja.
"I trust Lloyd will get you home safe. I have to get back to the monastery. My Sensei called me for something." Cole said.
He gave me a quick hug and formed his dragon. He took off into the air.
Dragons... ugh. Gives me goosebumps.
"Bye guys!" I yelled and waved to the others. They waved back before forming their own dragons.
"We can take my motorcycle if your afraid of dragons." Lloyd said from behind me.
"Eh, who cares." I shrugged.
Lloyd formed a green dragon. In my opinion, this dragon looked much nicer. I had enough guts to pet the head.
The dragon nuzzled into my hand as I rubbed with back.
"He likes you." Lloyd said.
I climbed on top of the dragons behind Lloyd and wrapped my hands around him.
"He looks much more friendly then Cole's." I chuckled.
"Agreed."
He lifted off and we flew in the darkness to my apartment. We touched down on the ground gently and Lloyd pulled me down to the ground.
"Thanks for the ride."
"No problem. Hey, if you ever need some practice in volleyball, just call me and I'll help."
"Thanks. But I don't have your number." I called to him as he was climbing back in the dragon.
"Check your back pocket." He shouted down to me.
I reached in my pocket to pull out a piece of paper with his number scribbled on it.
"How'd you do that?!"
"I'm a ninja. It's what I do!" He called in mid-air.
I laughed and walked inside. My mind still revolving on his ninja trick.
