I wasn't originally going to do a chapter like this because I see them in like every Ninjago Scenarios book and they're really unrealistic, but I'm going to do it anyways. Just for reference, this chapter and all the related Missing chapters with the other ninja are set in their own universes because all five girls will not be missing.

I was walking around town on a particularly gorgeous and bright Saturday with my phone to my ear, "Oh, remember that time Jay fell off the dock and into the lake?" I asked, laughing my heart out as I spoke to Kai through the phone. I heard his musical laughter and just pictured him smiling, "I think Cole pushed him," he chuckled back.

"That explains so much!"

I went quiet all at once, looking around at my surroundings. I swore someone was following me. I whipped my head around at a sudden sound and I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Third POV

"Y/N!" Kai shouted, trying to reach his girlfriend. The call was still connected  but there was no sound coming from the other end. 

Over in the city on the corner of Wilson, Y/N's phone was laying on the sidewalk, Kai's voice magnifying from the device. 

Someone took Y/N in a surprise as they snatched her off the streets. Someone wanting money, and nothing more.

Suddenly, a woman's hoarse voice came over the phone, alerting Kai, "You know the drill, I want sixty thousand dollars at the corner of Wilson, you have four days, until then, ta-ta," the voice told the fire ninja.

The call ended and Kai was left in shock. He grabbed a kitchen fork from the table and chucked it at the wall, leaving a chipped piece of wood. "Damnit!" he cursed. 

With impeccable timing, the other ninja ran into the room with Nya. "What happened?" Nya asked, carefully walking up to her brother. He lowered his head in disappointment in himself, his hands shaking, "I had one job, I just had to protect her, and I couldn't even do that," he said softly.

"What do you mean?" Zane questioned. 

"Someone kidnapped Y/N, and it's all my fault," he told them.

"What? Y/N your girlfriend, Y/N?! Who was it? Where? I'll go over and try to--" Nya began.

"Nya, give him some time to think," Cole sighed, patting his brother on his back. "We'll find her, I promise," Jay added.

"Let's go find her, we'll go back to where she last was," Lloyd suggested. They all nodded and headed out, "We'll find her, Kai. I promise," Nya told her brother, sitting down next to him.

He looked at his sister and nodded, "I loved her, Nya. I only had to protect two people, you and Y/N, but I couldn't. I failed her," he whispered.

"But you didn't fail me, Kai. Or Y/N, there was nothing you could do. All you can do now is find her, that's all that matters."

"When did you get so wise?" he asked.

She smiled and ruffled his hair, "When you got a girlfriend, I have Y/N to thank for you."
