When Things Don't Start to Return to Normal - Lloyd
It had been six days since I had gotten home from wherever I was held hostage with my best friend. I had stayed at the monastery and had not gone to see my dad this weekend which he was understanding of but I could tell he was slightly upset. i loved him so much, and I did want to be in the comfort of his home laying on the couch while listening to him play the piano to help me fall asleep after a long day of school. I missed him.
I walked out of my room for the first time in a few days and went to go to the kitchen, wanting to grab the landline since I had powered off my phone completely since the incident and didn't want to look at it. I heard chatter in the kitchen and I took a deep breath, knowing I would have t acknowledge the ninja's presence for the first time in days.
I wandered in, watching as all their eyes lifted and the conversation ceased. Sensei Wu and Nya were no where to be found and I froze, feeling incredibly uncomfortable in the setting. "Hey," Lloyd smiled, his eyes brightening as he rose to his feet. I stared at him, stretching my arms out in my- well, his hoodie - and dropped my head. I flinched as he kissed me on my cheek and he frowned, "Are you okay?"
I shrugged away from him and walked behind Kai to grab the landline which was on its charger. "I'm fine," I mumbled softly, my fingers pressing the buttons. "Where's your phone?" Kai wondered, standing up behind me to put his dish in the sink. I backed away from him quickly and he noticed, taking a step back himself. "I turned it off. People were texting me where I am and how I was. I didn't want to answer them," I muttered, hiding my eyes from the ninja. "Who are you calling?" Cole asked questionably. "Dad," I shortly answered. "I miss him, and you wouldn't let me go to his house this weekend."
"I wanted you to stay here so I could protect you. I want the threat to pass first."
I stared at him. His brown eyes met my E/C ones and no one spoke for a minute. "I want to be there, Cole. I just want to lay on his couch and listen to him play the piano."
"I can try to play the piano," Jay said with a smile, clearly trying to cheer me up. I ignored his comment and put the phone to my ear as it rang, hearing my dad's voice come through. "Cole! I thought you'd never call! How are things with your sister?"
I slightly smiled at the sound of my dad's voice and I leaned against the counter. "It's me, dad," I whispered, already feeling tears welling in my eyes. I turned around as the ninja all looked up to see me truly broken since they hadn't seen me in days. "Y/N! I haven't heard your voice in weeks! How are you? I miss you."
I took a moment and took a deep breath, "I miss you, too, Dad," I said with an airy chuckle.
"How are you doing? Is Cole driving you crazy on house arrest?"
I grinned, it feeling nice to finally smile. "Of course he is, dad. You know my brother, always driving me insane," I said, hearing an 'excuse me' from the table behind me. I rolled my eyes and walked out of the kitchen, knowing I would be on the phone for quite a long time with my father.
I know Cole was relieved I was talking. Even if it wasn't to him and he was saddened by that, I could tell he was feeling better about me.

When I had ended the call with my dad, I felt a little better about everything that had happened in the past week. I went to the kitchen to put the phone back and smiled softly as I saw a note on the fridge that said the ninja were training on the mountain side and Nya and Sensei were somewhere in the monastery. I placed the phone on its stand and was about to make the trek back to my room when I heard the alarm go off and the red lights flash in the kitchen.
My eyes widened and I went to grab the home phone yet again when I heard a low chuckle, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, Y/N Brookstone."
I froze, my body beginning to lightly shake and fears clouding my mind. My lip quivered and I felt my breath being pulled away from me instantly. I knew the alarm was loud enough for the ninja to hear it on the mountain, and surely Sensei and Nya were already on their way to discover the problem. "I don't think we finished what we started last week, hm?" he asked, taking a step forward and tracing a finger down my arm. I reacted and quickly snapped my hand back, slapping him with all my strength across his face. He howled out in pain before pulling me back against him with a sharp blade pressed against my neck. When I looked up, the ninja and Nya were all standing before me. They had seen me slap him.
"Oh, ninja!" the man called out happily. I clenched my eyes shut and gripped his arm that held the knife, digging my nails into his arm. "I haven't finished what I started, but I don't think you should ruin it," he shrugged, using the hand that wasn't against my throat to wander down my side. I squirmed against his touch, feeling shame, disgust, and fear radiating off of me. I wanted to go somewhere else. I wanted to lay down for hours and cry. I didn't want this.
"Bet she hasn't told you about this," he smirked.
I didn't dare open my eyes to see the facial expressions of my brother, boyfriend, and friends. I couldn't bare to look at them. "Leave her alone! If you want answers just ask us!" Lloyd yelled. "Green ninja, all great and powerful, and can't stop another man from touching his girl."
"Get him off of me, please!" I screamed, trying to squirm against his grasp only for him to yank me back to him with the knife cutting deeper into my skin. "You aren't proving anything!" Kai screamed. All I heard was commotion. everyone was yelling and shouting and saying things that did nothing to help the situation.
Finally, the man said one thing that made the room chill. "Ask her who's better at kissing, Lloyd."
All of a sudden, the knife was frozen in front of me and the man pushed me to the side. I hit the counter hard but when I regained my balance, I noticed him about to grab me again and I did the first thing I could think of and I grabbed the frying pan from the counter and swung it as hard as I possibly could into the side of his head. He fell back and hit the counter, collapsing to the ground. I suddenly felt light headed and the frying pan fell out of my hands and hit the ground, and I dropped to my knees with it. I couldn't hear anything. I couldn't understand the yells and shouts. I felt my breathing become raspy and I turned around quickly, grabbing hold of the trash can behind me and throwing up everything I had eaten in the past few days inside it.
My dizziness increased and I gasped for air, trying to remain calm though I knew that wasn't going to work. "Y/N!" Lloyd's voice shouted as I felt a hand on my shoulder and I immediately knew he was behind me. His hands wrapped around my hair and he immediately tied it back, rubbing my back as I continued to throw up into the kitchen garbage.
Once I felt a little better, I shoved the trash can to the side and turned around, backing away from Lloyd with fear in my eyes. "Y/N, it's me," he whispered, a hand reaching out for me as I shook my head and looked at him with tears in my eyes. "Don't come near me," I sobbed, wrapping my arms around my waist as I shook violently.
Nya ran to me, pushing Lloyd to the side and kneeling before me. I sobbed into her shoulder and she whispered encouragement into my ear while trying to calm me down, but all I could focus on was my brother staring at me with a lost look in his eyes while Kai and Zane tied the man's hands up and forced him to his feet. "You think you've won because I didn't get to kill her," he chuckled very sinisterly. "But I've scarred her for life. The strongest girl, sister and girlfriend to ninja. I've defeated her," he laughed, causing me to close my eyes as tight as I could and pray this ended quickly.
"You lost!" Cole screamed, about to lunge at the man if it wasn't for Jay holding him back. "She will never look at you the same. Or any man. I've won."
At his words, I pushed myself to my feet and ran out of the kitchen. I sprinted down the hallway and pulled open my door, slamming it behind me and taking a deep breath. I closed my eyes and let out a loud sob, allowing myself to collapse against the back of my door and try to hold on to the dresser next to it for support.
He won.
I lost.
Nothing will ever be the same again.

THIRD PERSON
Minutes after the man had been taken away by the police, the ninja walked to the hallway and Lloyd approached the girl's door. He shyly knocked on it, waiting for a response from his girlfriend. He just wanted to know that she was okay. He just wanted to hear her voice and for her to tell him everything she needed to let out. He wanted to be her boyfriend. But she didn't even want a friend.
"Y/N, please," the green ninja called out, knocking again. "Please, baby. Let me talk to you. Just let me in."
No response.
Cole paced back and forth in the hallway, his anger radiating off of him. When Y/N didn't answer the door, he turned around and slammed his fist into the nearest wall. The ninja all jumped and Kai ripped Cole away from the wall and pushed him back with a hand on his chest. "Woah! What's going on?"
"My girlfriend got kidnapped and tortured weeks ago by some kid she now feels sorry for! And then as I'm comforting her, my sister, my little sister, goes through the same thing! H-He did that to her! He did things to her!" Cole shouted, his blood boiling hotter than anyone has ever seen it.
Inside her room, Y/N listened to the conversation and she sobbed harder. She felt bad for her brother. She didn't want to worry him or make him feel guilty but what could she do?
"I'm a freaking ninja, Kai!" he screamed. "How could. have let this happen?!"
Jay stepped forward, "This isn't your fault, Cole," he reasoned. "Some guy wanted my girlfriend dead too and - "
"That's my sister, man! That's my little sister in there! M-My favorite person in this world! I'm supposed to protectt her! How am I supposed to do that?! I've been trying to convince myself that maybe this isn't my fault and that maybe C/G/N is okay, and then it happens again?!"
Cole shook his head and walked to Y/N's door. He took a heavy breath and placed his hand on the knob, a sob crawling up his throat as he laid his head against the wood. "Having people in my life that I love is me taping targets to their backs," he softly cried. "I love her, I love my sister. And because of that someone hurt her. H-How dare he hurt her," he continued to wail.
He stepped away from the door and looked at his teammates. "How am I supposed to keep them safe? I am a ninja! This is my job! The people that I love most in this world are getting tortured for information about me and I can't even stop it! Y/N went through hell and back this week and we didn't even notice! I didn't even know what happened! Because she was too scared to tell me!"
Lloyd shook his head and wiped a tear from his cheek. "This isn't all on you, Cole," he explained. "She's my girlfriend! We are both supposed to protect her! She's got both of us and a house full of fighters and none of us could get us out of there before he d-did that to her! I-I can't even think about that! It makes me sick!"
Cole narrowed his eyes at the green ninja and shook his head, turning back to face Y/N's door and leaning against it. "This is on all of us, Cole. All our girls went through this!"
Cole shook his head again, "At least you didn't have to go through it twice, Lloyd," he growled, refusing to address his tears and letting them stain his cheeks. Lloyd didn't know what to say but Zane placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down and let the hallway be silent.
Cole pressed his head against his sister's door and heard her sobs loudly. He wanted to be there for her. He wanted to give her a hug and tell her everything was going to be okay. "Y/N, please," he cried out, his voice broken and his heart shattered.
Jay looked down in respect, along with Kai and Zane. Never had they seen Cole break down. He was the strong one. He never let anyone see his weakness.
And now he was broken.
"Please, sis," he tried once more.
He sucked in a breath, about to leave when the door cracked open. Everyone looked up and none other than Y/N Brookstone stood in the doorway. Her cheeks were stained red and puffy and her lip quivered. She was about to sob when Cole pulled her into his shoulder, holding her tight and allowing her to sob into him. He cried softly into her shoulder as well, and the ninja left the hallway to give the siblings some peace.
Y/N Brookstone was broken.
And so was her brother.
I'm really out here trying to get some brother and sister moments on top of Lloyd moments. Obviously this creates character development because I feel like everyone has character development in these scenarios and we were kinda lacking with Lloyd scenarios so I've done it. Lloyd will have another scenario before we start back over at Kai. Okay bye.
