Step after step I walked through Ninjago City, it was eleven o'clock at night and my (E/C) eyes were trembling with fear, if you've ever walked around Ninjago at this time you would know why. I was suddenly lucky I ignored BF/N and didn't wear a dress or flats to work. My overalls and sneakers did just as well. The person came for another swipe at my jaw but I ducked under his arm, I was faced away from him giving him the upper hand. A knife glistened in his hand, I fearfully stood forward, frozen. He kicked my back and forced me on the concrete, I scraped my knees in the process. Before the person could raise his weapon and as I covered my head on the ground, blue electricity zapped him in the stomach. I looked up as a person in a blue ninja gi dropped from nowhere. He looked at me and I scooted back in fear, not knowing who it was. I quickly grabbed my phone from the ground and typed in various numbers, I was calling Jay. And since the man was knocked out I didn't need to worry about him.

I pressed the phone to my ear and heard ringing from the pants of the blue ninja. He slyly smiled and knelt down next to me, "Surprise." he nervously said as he pulled down his hood. I froze and gazed into his eyes, "I-- I" I stuttered.

"Y/N, wait. I can explain."

I shook my head and crawled backwards away from him, I was still shaking with fear from a few minutes earlier, it was also freezing. Jay took off his jacket and tried to come closer to me. But I stood up and tried bolting the opposite direction and to my house. But he grabbed my arm and stopped me. I tried tugging it away but he grew stronger, "Wait (Y/N), you're freezing and scared, stay with me a while."

I let him wrap his jacket over my shoulders and pull my body into his arms, he wrapped his arms around me as I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes, "I'm the elemental ninja of lightning and I would never let him hurt you."

I slowly nodded and took deep breathes as Jay rubbed my back to calm me down, "Let's get you home, alright?"

"Yeah, thanks." I softly said.

"You-- you lied to me, Jay." I said as we walked back to my house. "Y/N... I'm sorry. But--"

"Jay... why? I trusted you... I've never trusted anyone like this."

"I didn't want you to like me just because I was a ninja."

"You used me?"

"No. Y/N, I didn't. Please forgive me."

"Sure... but... I have to go, Jay."

But he never told me he was a ninja. He was talking to me like he didn't know the ninja a few weeks ago! He was lying to me the whole time.
