When I saw the man's feet underneath the door, I had frozen in place. Hundreds of thoughts led through my mind, but the most prominent one? Run.

With a wrench in one hand and my heart in the other, metaphorically, of course. I let my feet take me over the factory, or at least that's what I assumed it was, but when I entered the assembly line room, the doors slammed shut behind me.

A gasp left my mouth and I took a step back while letting my eyes explore the room. It looked run down, full of machines that has not had been used in months, maybe years.

An ear piercing siren rang throughout the room and I shouted out in agony. I instantly brought my hands to my ears and crouched down while putting constant pressure on my ears. The ringing wouldn't stop and I couldn't handle the pain anymore.

Thankfully, a loud bang sounded from a different hall and the door behind me opened. The ringing continued but I bent over and shoved the wrench that had fallen to the floor and slid it into the front pocket of my overalls. Then, I rushed out of the room.

The ringing was apparently throughout the entire facility but I tried to ignore it and went for a corridor i had yet to venture down.

There were many different turns, but I remembered something Jay said a while ago and it stuck, "I'd hate to be wrong, always be right," and that stupid logic led me to take every right turn.

Until...

I saw a man in a black ski mask standing across from me with earbuds in to likely keep the ringing from his ears. I took a soft step back only to be met with a new wall, one that had dropped down as soon as I had passed a wire. Booby traps.

Hate them.

"Who are you?" I screamed out, my head pounding as the ringing got louder.

The man tilted his head and a smile formed on his face. I trembled in fear as he pulled out a knife. "I thought taking you would give me the ninja, but now that they're here, I really don't have a use for you anymore."

A whimper escaped my lips and I dropped my hands to grab the wrench. I was too young to die. I had plans! But if I was about to face death, I was going down fighting.

"A wrench? Please," he scoffed, bringing out a button and pressing it twice. The ringing increased and I screamed, bringing the hands up to my ears and yelling out with my teeth clenched.

"Hey!" Someone shouted from the opposite end. I glanced up from my pain to see the five ninja standing behind the man who had since turned to his side to face both the ninja and I who stood in opposite ends of the one corridor.

"Leave her alone!" Jay called out angrily, his nunchucks dangling at his sides.

The man pointed to me and laughed, "Leave her alone? Ha, really?"

The man looked like he was thinking when he finally decided on an answer, "No."

The knife he held in his hands suddenly flew through the air and was aiming straight for me. I yelped and threw my hands out, a large white blast forming in between my arms.

I looked away for a brief second, and when I glanced back, the knife was glistening on the floor. My eyes widened and I took a step back before glancing at my hands. They were glowing yellow.

What the...

"What?!" All the ninja shouted in confusion.

"This just got better," the man said while pulling out another knife. Before any ninja could react or do anything I grabbed the wrench and threw it as hard as I could.

It hit the man in the head and he instantly fell back. As for me, well, I ran.

The wall behind me opened as he collapsed and I rushed out of there. I took every left turn this time and ended up at an exit sign.

I sighed in relief and pushed myself through the doors, seeing the beautiful streets of Ninjago and the best of all, the ringing was gone.

A smile formed on my face and I leaned over to catch my breath. The door behind me opened and I stood, seeing Jay, Lloyd, and Cole exit. Leaving Kai and Zane to take care of the lunatic.

"Y/N," Jay smiled, reaching out and engulfing me in his arms. I smiled and buried my head into his shoulder. "Hey, you alright? What was that back there?" Cole asked, prompting Jay and I to release from out hug.

I took a shaky breath and looked at my hands, "I was hoping you could explain that to me."

"Y/N, we would be more than happy to help you figure this out. We just need to talk to Sensei," Lloyd responded.

"Maybe later, Okay? I-I want to go home, please."

Cole smiled, "We can't begin to understand what you've been through. You've been here for three days. I'm sure you're ready to go home and relax, and we'll be here when you're ready."

I nodded and leaned into Jay's shoulder, "What did you tell me? You're a kick butt with a wrench."
