I slammed my book closed, finally being done with my algebra homework. I looked at the front cover and pointed to it, my eyebrows furrowing, "You suck, algebra! You can't solve me!" I shouted at it, letting out my odd side.
I then took my pointer finger and looked in the mirror, pointing it at myself, "Wow, I'm weird." I giggled, dropping my hand. I picked up the remote for the T.V and was about to press the on button, until I heard three knocks on the door.
"Go answer the door, Y/N." I told myself, heading for the doorknob, "I am Y/N! Geez!" I scolded myself. I was about to open the door when I froze, 'what the hell am I talking to myself for?' I shook my head and finally opened the door, running a hand through my hair.
I looked up from the ground, seeing red, lots of red. And some sonic the hedgehog too. I immeadietly released my hand from my head and smiled, a hand holding the door.
"Kai! What brings you by? And who let you up?" I asked, peeking out the hallway. Kai laughed and smiled at me, "Mrs. T did, because I have something to talk to you about. It's kind of important."
"Well come in, please." I offered, moving to the side. He had his hands behind his back as f he was hiding something, "No, it's better if I do this here. I don't know, it feels more formal?" he asked himself, unsure.
I raised an eyebrow in confusion, but Kai pulled out a bouquet of red roses, holding them in front of him and holding them out to me, "I couldn't ask for your dad's blessing, but I asked for everyone's in the building, and your grandmother's. Y/N L/N, would you like to go on a date with me?"
Kai left me speechless, I knew I wanted to say yes, but for some reason, my brain just stopped, leaving my mouth open agape. Kai raised his hand, closing my jaw. "Um-yes! Why did I say it like that? No, yes--I mean. Wait, what?" I asked, confused. Kai laughed and repeated his question, "Would you like to go on a date?"
"You know what, my brain is basically dead right now, but it means to say, 'of course'." I answered, not taking the chance that my brain is capable of saying yes.
