Kai's p.o.v (15)

Walking beside Pyro as he heads to the courthouse, Lloyd and the others glair at me. I hold my head high, knowing I'll get out of being in jail. Opening the door, Cole practically slams it in the guys faces. Coming into the room, judge Carter looks up. "How'd you get out and who are you." Carter asks. "I am Kai Fowl. I suffered the same fate he did but I spent ten of the fifteen years in prison. I'm here to prove Kai is innocent and put the right person behind bars, if he's here." Pyro said. "I'm his Cole, and he's telling the truth." "My name's Neuro from Pyro's world, I came to show Kai's memories from that night. If I may."

Carter nods, Neuro goes to me, placing two fingers on my forehead. "Couldn't Kai just alter his memories." Jay snarls. "No, as the master of mind, I can look into any memories, even forgotten ones." Neuro finds the memory of that night. I want our with a friend to a bar, he got wasted and I took hem home, staying the night. As the memory dies, everyone has shocked looks. "Sadly, he does have to go back, he and Danny." "How much." Pyro says. "Come again." "How much for both of their bails." Pyro asks. Carter looks, I fear I'm not seeing the light of day again for a while. "For both combined, it's one hundred dollars." Carter says. I hang my head, none the ninja have that much combined. The sound of ripping has me looking as Pyro rolls to Carter. "That should cover it." He hands Carter a check.

An hour later, I'm in the shower, washing peacefully. Danny joins me in the shower and helps me wash. Getting out, dressed, we go into the dinning room. Pyro is talkng to Wu and Garmadon. He turns to us, coming over. "I gave a description of the guy, so, hopefully he'll be captured within a few days. See ya." Pyro says. I hug hem, Pyro looks started but hugs back. "Thank you, you gave me and Danny our lives back. We owe you." I say. He looks at me "You owe me nothing. I helped a Kai that had been under ship arrest for five years. I'm glad to help another." Pyro said. He, Cole and Neuro go outside. The vortex opens up again and they go through.

Kai's p.o.v (Pyro)

Back home, Danny informs me Cyrus needs my help. Aside from being the head medic of the Assassin's, I'm also a scientist. Going to Borg tower, coming up the elevator, I shake hands. We get to work when the elevator dings, five orange people walk up. Rope is tied around us, we're taken underground. Coming to a room, an old guy is in there. "I thought I said for Cyrus. Why hem." He points at me. "He often helps me on projects." Cyrus said. The guy nods. "What else do you do." I burn the ropes, he grabs vengestone chains. "Immune, dumbass." I snarl. He nods. "Take hem to the blacksmith shop, he can be of use there." The two go to wheel me out, I do it for them.

Coming to the shop, one opens the door, I wheel in. It closes and locks the door. "Hello, I'm sorry Krux took you." The man inside says. A woman comes from the left, coal in a bucket. "I'm Maya, this is my husband, Ray Smith. What's your name." My mother asks. I wheel to the forge, setting the coals in it. "Names Kai. Kai Fowl. It was Smith until I married my husband of six years now." I wait for it to click. They crush me in hugs, I return them. "What...how'd You end in a wheelchair." Mom asks. "Y'all explain this and I'll explain about me." I light the coals with my white fire.

Maya: They forced us to work for them. Part of their revenge.

Kai: For what?

Ray: For creating the Time Blades. It goes back to when Acronix and Krux were Elemental Masters.

Past Wu: I have an idea. And it requires your skills. Masters of Fire and Water, come.

Ray: We forged four Time Blades from Chronosteel to absorb the powers of the Hands of Time. Chronosteel is incredibly strong. We were physically and mentally drained.

Past Wu: Thank you. My brother and I will deal with Krux and Acronix.

Ray: The Time Blades stripped Krux and Acronix of their powers. Then Wu and Garmadon created a Temporal Vortex to lose the Blades forever. When Krux and Acronix foolishly went after the Blades, it appeared they too would be lost to time. Later, we learned that before Acronix disappeared, there was a sign that foretold the exact time of his return. Forty years in the future. Wu saw it.

Kai: So that must be how Master Wu knew when Acronix was gonna return to the Monastery. He saw the blimp.

Maya: And so did Krux.

Ray: What Wu does not know was that not only did Krux see the blimp, but he wasn't sent forward with his brother. Now he knew he had decades to plan. He assumed a false identity and decided to use eggs from The Great Devourer to create a great legion of warriors. His warriors would need armor, weapons, vehicles. And he knew just who could design them.

Maya: Pretending to be kindly Dr. Sander Saunders, Krux took his time and earned our trust. We thought he was our friend.

Ray: Until Saunders betrayed us. Told us how he had a plan for his brother's eventual return. Forced us to work for him, or else.

Kai: Or else what?

Maya: Or else he would go after you two. It was his ultimate revenge.

I look up from the helmet my doing, a hammer in hand. "Okay, so, you've told me how y'all got here. It's my turn to explain. In order to so, I must starts sixteen years ago." Mom and dad nod, going back to their work.

'It happened sixteen years ago today, infact. The ninja, my boyfriend at the time included, avoided me all day. So, I decided to go to the park. After a bit, I got up to leave and the gang, along with fifty cops appeared. Cole, master of earth, cuffed me after Lloyd, son of Garmadon,told me I had killed a mother and her baby by burning them to death." I begin

"What, I know for a fact you wouldn't." Dad says. "All the evidence pointed to me. In the courtroom, I pleded guilty just to get it the fuck over with. When I was taken away, I broke the necklace Zane, master of ice, gave me and threw it at hem. When I got to prison, I was reunited with an ex who was in for murdering in self defense. We rekindled our love and grew close. Sadly, Danny got out eight of my fifteen years. He left on the promise of visiting twice if three times a week. He kept that promise for two years before getting the money to pay my bail." I said, stacking a helmet on another.

"I like this husband of yours, can we meet hem." Mom asks. "Sure. The next day, Danny asked me to marry hem and I said yes. We eloped two weeks later. By than, we had formed the group called the Assassin's. We hunt and bring down criminals, regular or elementals. For five years, I lived free, until I was given a message from Chen to fight in his tournament of elements. I went, and taught the ninja, including Nya, a brutal lesson, each. Cole was helplessness, Jay's loneliness, Zane's was heartbreak. Nya was betrayal and Lloyd's was guilt." I say.

"Had to be done." Dad says, stacking a helmet. I start making weapons. "Something good did come out from being in prison. I had to ware a vengestone collor and am now immune to it. So, I was able to defeat Chen but, he put main and Danny's twins in harm's way." I say. "So, you know about being a reproducing male." Mom asked, dipping a helmet in water. "Yeah, we have three girls so far, and Lloyd's a male as well." "Who else, there's always four a generation." Dad asked. "I don't know...." The door slams open, Krux walks in. "So, you have three kids. Well, seeing as you have immunity to vengestone." For an old man, Krux moved fast. He tackled me out the chair, pinning me at the forge. "Make a mistake, do anything to set my plan back, I'll go after your daughter's." Krux says. "Don't you touch them. I'll...." "you'll what, you can bearly walk, half blind. You gave up being second-in-command of the Assassin's and even now, the only defense you have is over at the wall. You won't do anything to endanger the little one's, would you." Krux said. Damn, he has me. "I'll comply for now, but, touch a hair of my daughter's and I'll burn this swamp." I growl. Krux nods, getting up and leaves.

Dad and mom help me back in, I roll to the window, looking out. "Chen had took a gun and shot my hip and shoulder, it took two months for me to heal. The ninja found out when my old enemy attacked the day we were hunting hem. Paradox is his name. He sent me to an alternate universe where my counterpart was serving the same sentence I had. But, he was under house arrest. I taught his ninja the same lessons but had to cut it short after Jay's lesson. Lloyd had put the collor on Kai and, it was so tight, Kai only had two day before he died. The collor had become embedded like mine had." I move the choker and the bruise is seen. Arms snake around me, mom hugging me. I turn back around and go to the anvil.

"When we got back, it was found out I was pregnant again and I took time off being an Assassin. I was in my six month pregnancy when the one who accused me captured me. Turned out, it had been me, a phyco Kai who turned from good. Three weeks he beat me. Taking a sledgehammer to my hips, knee caps, shoulder. On the morning of the third week, Kai burned my eye and I passed out from the pain. Kai woke me by burning my hip and I head butted hem. Kai slugged me and he weld on me. Broke my nose, dislocated my had and burned my eye worse. Kicking hem away, I forced Kai to back off but he can back with the sledgehammer and broke my shins, good hand, and creaked me upside the head. Danny and the others saved me. I spent three months in the hospital before giving birth to Erika, but my hips shattered in the process. I gave up being second-in-command of the Assassin's to Cole and remain the head medic and scientist. Yes I'm bound to a wheelchair but, I can walk around some. I keep my head up and look at the bright side. I'm alive and I'm here with y'all." They both hug me now.
