Dedicated to Kirby Morrow-Ninjago won't be the same without you but you'll always live in our hearts. You shaped Cole into something amazing-we thank you for that.

Jay's POV:

I don't think I had been this confused in years. I could tell it was the same with the others, except Neuro and Skylor. He could simply read their minds to understand and Skylor could use his power. "Who's Lillian?", I asked. The rest of the team nodded in agreement.

"Hannah's mother obviously," Skylor answered.

"Yes. Lillian was Hannah's mother. She passed away when Hannah was three." You could see the concentration written all over Neuro's face as he tried to read both Hannah and Morro's minds. He seemed to be sifting through memories, realization hitting him like a train after a few moments. "He's-" Hannah roughly grabbed Morro's shoulders, making him face her. He still didn't look her in the eyes. I could almost hear the gears turning in her head. I took Nya's hand out of habit. Hannah wasn't angry-just confused-but she was still kind of scary. I could tell the others were slightly frightened as well. We had seen a lot and knew something was about to happen. We just got that gut feeling.

"What do you know about my mother?" Morro shook his head, refusing to look at her. She shook him even though he was probably 2 feet taller. "What do you know about my mother?", she repeated louder.

"Hannah, calm down...you need to rest. Your spine has probably messed with your emotions and you need to be careful-" Cole tried to pull the girl back but she stayed rooted to the spot, confused fire burning in her blue eyes. It was at this moment that I realized a simple detail-it was jut something I hadn't seen before. Hannah's eyes weren't just blue-the were multiple colors mixed together, mainly blue with a ring of dark green. Her eyes were herterocrima, with a bright blue, flicks of other colors, and the ring of dark green. The dark green matched the color of Morro's eyes. Something fizzled in the back of my mind as I tried I place things together. How their attitude was so similar, the dark green in both of their eyes, how they shared similar interests...

My hand tightened around Nya's as we shared a look. Our gut feeling was right-down thing did happen. The groin started to slightly shake, a vibration running through me as my element prepared to protect. I looked to Cole in question even though I thought I already knew the answer. He shook his head as he back away, indicating that he wasn't the one making the ground shake, confirming my suspicions. Hannah closed her eyes, then opened them wide. Her irises were no longer blue or green-they were a glowing gold. I could faintly see the near white pupil, but only barely. Trying to look into her eyes was like trying to look into the heat of a star-or a sun if I'm descriptive. I quickly looked away from the glowing orbs and looked at Kai, who had seen the exchange between Cole and I. "It's Hannah!", Kai yelled. Said girl walked away from Morro, her steps light and airy-a stark contrast from the usual stomping she did. Everyone but Morro back away farther as the room shook even harder. A crack started to run along one wall in a vine like pattern. And then the trouble really started to begin.

Hannah began to lift into the air, face void of emotion with her mouth slightly open. It seemed as if stars were lighting up the room and a glowing purple, black, blue, and other colors with the transparancy of light cloudy fog gathered at her fingertips.

"Galaxies," Nya whispered beside me. I could feel her element strumming beneath her skin, threatening to break lose. Morro looked at us. Wisdom seemed to pool in his gaze.

"Don't look into her eyes-they can turn as bright as the sun and blind you!" I wondered how he knew that but I didn't have time to ask as he continued talking. Now listen. Hannah's in shock and she can't control herself. But if we can't apprehend her soon, she could destroy everything in a ten-mile radius," he explained. I nervously chuckled, backing up instinctively. I did not want to become a pile of bones today.

"You're kidding right?" But the look he gave me said otherwise.

"Hannah can't control her emotions right now because of her confusion. Her mother is connected to Morro and she's figuring out how. And because she can't control those emotions enough, she can't control her powers-or whatever this is," Neuro added. Morro nodded.

"Since when does Hannah have powers?", Griffin yelled in confusion. Cole tried to pull the cracks in the walls back together until flames licked up the wall where Morro stood. Morro ran towards us to avoid the fire. But it was like the fire wasn't damaging the room-it was simply crawling along the cracks. I'd watched enough movies to know-

"If she's anything like Lillian then she's going to get ears and a tail. That's when we can start to try and suppress her," Morro said, snapping me out of my thoughts. As if on cue, her ears seemed to become blond wolf ears that stretched away from the sides of her head towards the top in angles. A matching tail stretched from out from her back. The blond fur was high on end from the static of electricity that sparked in the air around her and along the ceiling. The room suddenly became darker, with the occasional glow of stars and the fog around her hands, and the light streaming in from the hallway and window. Spots tepid blocks of ice erupted around the fire and slowly became puddles of water. Markings ran along her arms; snowflakes, flames, ivy, moons, suns, you name it. The elements were at her command, and no one could stop it. Or I thought.

The whole thing had only been a few seconds, but it felt like a matter of long minutes. Hannah's hair whipped around her as wind spun like a tornado around the girl. I faintly saw the light from a "star" catch the reflection on the two fangs that had appeared in her mouth. Hannah's teeth had always been noticeably sharper, especially her canines, but I had never expected her to actually be a wolf-human-thingy. I inwardly laughed at the fact if her amines being sharper because she was a canine. Morro shouted above the wind. "We have to get her under control! If were not careful, she'll slowly kill herself since her body isn't used to these abilities." That snapped us into action, trying to control the elements around us. But the grip she ha on them was too strong. It felt like I could barely keep my grip on a thrashing rope. "Nya, Griffin, Neuro, and Lloyd! Direct your elements at her. She can't control those powers!" Immediately they followed his orders. Nya dowsed Hannah in water while Griffin ran in circles around her against the direction of the wind she created. Neuro tried to connect through her mind, the stress of breaking through her emotional walls quite stressful on him as he strained. Lloyd practically threw his element at her, lighting up the room in a ghostly green glow. Hannah fell to the floor with a yell, writhing slightly as her eyes had a hint if blue to the gold. Neuro turned to Morro with a nod.

"She knows," he simply stated. Knows what?, I wondered. However, I got my answer soon enough. Her powers surged once more then disappeared with a gust of wind. She looked Morro in the eyes with shock and belief, emotion lacing her tired and barely audible voice. Her arms barely held we up as she spoke.

"You're my dad..." And then she passed out.

Hannah's POV:

"Hannah! Come eat your lunch!" I turned around with a grin, short blond hair a frazzled mess. A small white and black spotted puppy followed behind me as I ran to the small house where my mother was waiting at the door. Her waist long blond hair flapped in the wind and she pulled her green and black shawl tighter around her. I jumped into her arms and she caught me with an "of", to which we giggled. "You're getting so big!" I stared into her silver and blue eyes with a toothy grin.

"Nana said it's because I eat my brocoli!" My mother bopped my nose with a smile.

"And she's right. You're going to be big and strong!" She walked into the stone house closing the door behind us and the dog. "Alright, Squirt. Sit." The dog sat as my mother gave her cooing praise. Mom and I sat at our small wooden table as she set a bowl with a suction cup on the bottom in front of me. She have me a fork and I quickly dug in. The spaghetti got all over my face and clothes, so my mom had to resort to pulling off my clothes and leaving me in a napkin around my neck(which kept falling)and my pull-up. I wiped my hands all over my face, then dramatically dabbed at my lips with my napkin as my mother ate her meal with much better manners. I may have been about to turn three, but my etiquette was worse than a one year old. When my mother finished with her meal, she pulled a pair of chopsticks and a small black tray, placing a piece of the circular, rice wrapped creation in her mouth. She had a faraway look in her eyes as I looked at her.

"Mommy, why do you always eat sushi? Pa gave it to me once and it was nasty!" Mother smiled gently.

"Well, your father loved sushi, especially this kind. It's only vegetables dipped in a tangy sauce; your dad was never a big fan if seafood, just like you." I grabbed a piece carefully, slightly grasping how important a single dish could be as the sushi took on a whole new meaning. My mother helped me did it in the sauce and I took a bite, suspiciously tasting it. My eyes widened with a smile.

"Mmm! This IS good!", I exclaimed as the food slightly fell out the corners of my mouth. I leaned against one of my hands, looking at her. "Momma? When is Daddy coming home?" She sighed with a sad smile.

"I don't know, honey. But I do know he loved you, and me, and that's what's important to remember. You'll meet him someday. Whether that be in the Departed Realm or in your life time I don't know. But someday he'll find us. And until then, I'll keep eating this sushi to remember him." I grinned, completely unaware of what the future held.

My vision flashed in and out of flashbacks and reality. One moment I was looking at Morro and the next I was looking at a memory of celebrating my third birthday with my Aunt, Uncle, Mother, and grandparents. I had no cousins yet. I remember tearing the tissue paper off of a box that was filled with candy from my Uncle Ryan. And then I was seeing my friends backing away from me. Fear crept through me and I was afraid they were leaving me forever as so many others had done before them. And then I was back in my memories, riding in a taxi through Ninjago city, my face pressed against the glass in awe as my mom pointed different things out. Then I was back in the present, mind flying a mile a minute from Morro's words. I was slowly coming to a conclusion. And then I was whisked away to memories I had wanted to forget but never could.

The driver of our taxi yelling out a curse as he tried to swerve away.

My friends directing their powers at me. That's the present.

My mom protecting me with herself as the drunk driver crashed into the side of our taxi.

My eyes meeting Morro's. I'm back in the present. Stay in the present. But once again my memories took over.

My short life flashing before my eyes as the memory of seeing a photo of my mother and father together came to mind.

Morro staring back at me with those eyes that I only saw in that picture.

My mother bleeding from the taxi's side hitting her directly through the stomach.

I remembered crying and begging her to get up.

The taxi man picking me up as I screamed and thrashed.

The paramedics swarming around my mother and a few around me.

The drunken woman in the other car being led away in hand cuffs.

My tears pooling in my hands.

My Aunt and Uncle arriving an hour later, breaking into tears when the paramedics spoke.

My Uncle lifting me into his arms as he brought me to where my mother lay, explaining to me that she was gone.

Me questioning when she'll be back.

My Aunt saying never, except in my heart and memories.

Me crying.

A funeral.

My Aunt and Uncle swearing to protect me and raise me as their own.

My father and mother's picture on our fireplace flashing before my eyes every night.

My house being sold.

My belongings being moved into another house with my Uncle and Aunt.

My life becoming a storm of dark emotions one that young should never feel.

My cousin coming into our lives a year later.

My life suddenly lighting up.

My swearing that I'll always protect her the moment I laid eyes on her.

Morro staring into my eyes.

Me eating sushi with a new meaning, every year on the day my mother died.

A new meaning to life.

Growing up with the thought that I would never meet my father. That he would only exist in dreams.

And then he was there in the preset, a fatherly love in his eyes as I fainted from over exertion.

Him whispering my name as he pushes a strand of my hair behind my ear as I lay on the cot.

Wait-that's real. He's here. I'm in the present.

I groggily turned to him, a smile on my lips. I didn't know how he could be my father but he matched every detail my mom had ever showed me or told me. And I had started to realize that perhaps some things are explainable, yet strange. I didn't know what the heck had just happened to me, but one thought rang through my cloudy mind. He was my father and I had I know his story.

Morro's POV:

"If you could have one wish, what would it be?" Cole's voice startled me out of my stupor. I shook my head to clear my mind, the answer coming to me in the blink of an eye.

"To have Lillian." Cole nodded, his gaze drifting to the figure on the cot in front of him. We sat in two chairs along the wall, the medical supplies in a large cabinet on the other wall. Everything needed to perform medical operations was within arms reach-it was any doctor's dream room. Everything they needed for any situation.

"I hope you don't mind me saying this, but she's quite amazing. Your daughter that is." Pride and protectiveness filled me, and I turned to him. I'd always been protective of Hannah-I'd figured put who she was on the first day of school. I'd confided in Sensei Wu during the time set aside for our homework. I raised an eyebrow at Cole. It was no secret the two obviously had some feelings toward each other, but you could sense it was deeper than that. It was the same thing Lillian and I had. And whether I wanted it or not, my daughter was all grown up and I had only just met her. And already a man was falling in love with her, taking her away when I had only just found her. It tore at my gut but I had to come to terms with myself that I could not control that. It was nature, destiny, and Hannah was obviously happy in Cole's presence. That was what was important.

"Yes, she is. Why did you ask?" He never turned away from the still form on the bed.

"No reason. I just had a feeling you would say that. Do you ever regret meeting Lillian?" He turned towards me and I softened my emotions as I realized what was happening. He was asking for advice and I had to give it to him.

"No. Even if I didn't get to spend the rest of my life with her, I never regret a thing. Hannah never would have been born and I never would have found the her mother." I smiled wistfully. "I remember when I first laid eyes on Lillian. I was at a library, looking for any clues of the whereabouts of the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb. I found absolutely nothing but I kept looking, the whole day. I will admit that I often took breaks I read some fiction books I came across-but that's not important. Now Lillian wasn't a big reader-I always did enough reading for the both of us. But that day she was looking for a book to use in a school book report. I remember her tapping my shoulder, gazing into her eyes. It was the first emotion other than anger that I had felt in years. It was like everything fell into place at that moment. She asked me if I knew of any good books she could read. Gladly, I pointed her into the right direction. I was always a flirt but when I tried to talk to her it was like I was trying to speak a whole other language. When she was examining a book I had suggested, I accidentally slipped up and just blurted out 'You're eyes are really pretty.'" I chuckled at the memory. "She just blushed and thanked me awkwardly. And then I knew I had found her. She was the one for me, the sun I had been missing my whole life without even realizing it." Cole nodded in understanding. "And then we ended up going out together the next week, one thing led to another, and then-" Hannah shifted as Zane rushed from the other side of the room to her cot. The heart monitor was in a steady rhythm, but quickly changed to a fast thumping as she opened her eyes widely.

"Mom!" She sat up as she yelled, eyes wide and clouded with emotion. Then she seemed to calm down as Zane checked her temperature and soothed her. Cole and I both stood, ready to rush over in case something happened. "W-where am I?" Hannah squinted as Zane pointed a light into her eyes, testing her pupils.

"Hannah, I need you to answer a few questions for me." She nodded at Zane as he examined her. "Do you remember what happened in the living room?" She made a so-so motion.

"Kind of. I know what happened but I wasn't in control of my body it seemed. And memories kept flashing before my eyes, so the past and present were kind of jumbled." Zane nodded.

"Alright, do you feel any pain?"

"No. I feel great actually."

"How so?" Hannah tilted her head.

"Well, I feel more...powerful? Stronger even. Like I have a whole chest of abilities that was just opened up." Zane hummed in acknowledgment.

"Alright. What about your back?"

"It actually feels really good. There's absolutely no pain, and I feel like I could run a thousand miles and lift a hundred weights."

"May I see your back?" She obeyed by lifting her shirt so he could see, and he closely examined the lower spine.

"Alright. It looks like you have a faint line along your back-but it's not a line. It looks more like a faint golden line in the form of a constellation."

"What constellation?"

"According to my data base, it looks like...I do not know. I have never seen this constellation before, and I cannot find any information of it. I do not believe it is from Ninjago if I dare say."

"Interesting..." I thought to myself as I mumbled the word, trying to rack my brain where it could be from. "I've got nothing." Hannah pulled her shirt back down as she turned to us, probably just now realizing we were in the room.

"Ah, hi." She scratched the back of her neck, obviously feeling a bit awkward.

"Perhaps it would be best if Cole and I exited the room."

"I..." Cole smiled at the girl as I sat down on the cot.

"Let's go, Zane. It's my turn to make dinner anyway," he said a little too proudly. I shuddered at the thought.

Once they had closed the door behind then, Hannah and I just kind of sat in silence. "So...if you're 18, how are you my dad?" I saw that one coming. Sighing, I ran a hand through my sleek hair.

"Well, you see there's a story to that. To all of this actually. And I should start from the beginning." Closing my eyes I breathed a sigh.

"Once upon a time, I was a young boy. I had no parents, lived on the street, and ate trash from the side of the road."

"It's hard to imagine you as a kid," Hannah stated. I nodded with a light chuckle.

"I know. But believe it or not, I was little, scrawny, and a complete scaredy cat. Wu found me one day when I was gathering trash from the front if the monastery. He was still young, but he was old enough to be my father. Or perhaps he was older than that. Who knows. I mean, he still drank tea and stuff, so he was the same old Wu." She giggled at that to which I smiled even wider. Her laugh was so much like her mother's. "Anyways. He took me in and took care of me. He even gave me a kite to play with. That was the day it all started. We learned that I had the elemental power of wind, which I used to control the kite. Wu said it was destiny that he found me. After that he began to train me to be the Green Ninja. But that's not something you train for. It's chosen by destiny."

"But Lloyd's the Green Ninja...?"

"Yes, he is. Were getting there. As I was saying, I trained and trained. Poured my life into the prophecy, researched, did anything I could do to help me. I trained 24/7-physically in the day, and mentally at night. I made brushing my teeth a workout because I quizzed myself on every single fighting stance I could think of, I meditated before I closed my eyes to sleep, anything and everything. And Wu was proud of me. He became like a father to me, and I constantly sought his approval. Then came the day when he thought I was ready.

"He placed me before the Golden Weapons but-nothing happened. My worst fears were confirmed. Once again, he told me it was just destiny. I claimed that I would train harder, do better. But he just shook his head and told me that I was not the chosen one. I claimed that I would change that destiny. I'd make it my destiny. Long story short, I left, determined to have my revenge and make it my destiny. Well, years later-I think I was...16?-I was in a library looking for information about where the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb could be. I loved to read, so it was a normal for me to be at the library. And let me tell you-reading historical stuff that's nonfiction...That's just boring." She nodded as she wrinkled her nose.

"It is. Fiction is much better."

"Exactly. But I still read the books, claiming I was working on a school project. I had gone to school when I lived with Wu-I excelled in fact. I was one or two years ahead of what other kids my age would be. I still taught myself through textbooks, kept up with my training, and those things. It seemed like a normal day. But right after 3 o'clock, she walked up to me. She asked me if I knew of a good book for her report. I know it sounds cliche, but when I looked into her eyes, I fell in love right then and there. She made me a stuttering mess, and I somehow managed to get we to go out with me. 2 years later and I was going to propose. And then you showed up. I was 18, your mother was 17. You can only imagine your mother's joy when she found out she was pregnant. She was estatic, constantly planning how your room would look, thinking about names. When we found out she was having a girl, she went ballistic. We were both very happy, but u felt a second emotion. I absolutely freaked out. I mean, your mother wasn't an adult yet, how would I take care of a family without a full time job-I worked at the library like you do-how would I take care of your mother, you, deal with her parents? That was another reason I freaked. Her parents." Hannah laughed, knowing exactly what I meant. I couldn't help but crack a smile myself. "Enough said. Her parents practically hated me. They were already mad that we were living together, they didn't like the idea that she was dating me some apparently I looked like I could be part of a gang-who says that I could be a gang leader? I mean, come on! Sure, I'm good looking-" Hannah raised an eyebrow jokingly at me.

"And you look edgy? Emo? You're hair literally has a green stripe in it." I waved her off with my hand.

"Anyways! If try hated me enough as it was how was I supposed to tell them I got her pregnant?! I had only one idea. Say that we got married in secret. But they wouldn't believe that because your mother always wanted a big wedding. So I crossed my only idea off the list. Your mother's sister was a few years younger than your mother. Her name was Leeana, am I correct?" She nodded.

"Yah. Aunt Lee."

"Mhm. She was already dating your Uncle Ryan-and let's just say that getting her support would be hard." Hannah cocked her head.

"But Uncle Ryan always said he supported you two." I nodded.

"Ryan did. But Lee didn't. Your uncle and I became great friends, and I knew we would have his support immediately. But Lee was more like her parents. No way would she back us up right away. So Ryan was our only supporter that I could think of. When I confrere him about it, he instantly told me that we had his support, and if we needed anything, we just had to ask. He said his parents would be more than happy to give us some baby supplies since they collected ether children's life articles. But when I told Lee, she cussed me out." Hannah's eyebrows just about flew off her head. "She was so mad. So-SO mad. She kept yelling at me and screaming about how I had poisoned the mind of her sister. I was finally able to explain to her that we didn't mean for this to happen at all. We didn't even mean to do the-ah..."

"Canoodle? The nasty big one? The forbidden Polka? The-"

"Yah. That. I even told we about my fears. I was so afraid something would happen to Lillian, you, or me. My revenge had been put on hold but it could return at any moment. Lillian knew about it. She told me that I shouldn't hold onto it but that she would still support me no matter what. As long as I promised her I would always come back. And I always did. I hadn't thought about revenge in a year though, until your mother was 6 months along.

"I got a letter from an anonymous ally, telling me that they had an idea that the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb was in the Caves of Despair. Revenge once again returned. I told your mother and she gave me the okay to go. And so I did. I suited up into my gi and I traveled to the caves with the intent of returning before you were born. The trip took about a week since I had to walk. While in the caves though, I found a geyser. It was full of fire and lava and more. It-well-killed me. I could never return to Lillian. I would never see you, or have a life again. I woke up in the Cursed Realm. All I felt was hate, despair, and a need for revenge. That's what the Priemenet does to you. It takes all your terrible emotions and makes you forget the good ones. I'm sure you've heard the story about how I nearly destroyed part of Ninjago, and that terrible stuff." She nodded again. "And then I was pulled under water. It was about one to three years when I woke again. I was on a beach, sand scraping my cheeks and feet dangling in the water. My gi was torn even more but I had a sense of renewal. And then I saw him. The First Spinjitzu Master. He looked at me and told me that he was going to give me another chance. He said that many of my emotions were reasonable-I had been led to believe something, worked hard for it, then it was stripped away. And so he sent me back to Ninjago, a human and alive. I was so glad I wasn't a ghost anymore. And then it all returned. My good emotions, memories, the revenge and rage was gone. I felt clean. But it had been 18 years since I last saw your mother. I found Wu and the ninja, and they forgave me. Even Lloyd, who I had possessed as a ghost. After that I looked for Lillian. I never told anyone about her-I couldn't bring myself to tell them anything about my past. It haunted me, the same way Lloyd's memories of his possession haunt him. But I couldn't find anything about her. I guess this is why. So...is she really gone?" Hannah bit her lip.

"Y-yes. She is. She died in an accident when I was 3." My heart felt like it was cracking in two, and like someone was slicing into my soul. The name of my girlfriend was etched in it, and I felt like my world had just died. But when I looked into the watering eyes of Hannah through my own years eyes, I felt like my world had been reconstructed. The world would never be the same, but I had a new duty. Protect my daughter. Se shared my blood, shared Lillian with me. And I swore in that moment nothing would happen to her. She was forever under my protection. I wouldn't let anyone take her away from thy protection. Not even a boy. Especially a boy. Especially when that boy, is a Cake Loving. Emotional Mess. A Cook Who Should Not Be Allowed To Enter The Kitchen. A boy who is 2 feet taller than her! A boy who-

"I'm sorry you had to go through that at such a young ago, Hannah," I said as I pulled her closer. A tear escaped from her eye as she choked on a sob. "Life is hard-love is hard. Love takes from us those that we love. But it's worth it." She nodded.

"I guess there is something I need to tell you about your mother." She looked up at me with wide eyes. "You need to know. What happened in the living room...that was because of your mother's ancestors. Hannah...your mother had an elemental power. But not one people would have heard of. She didn't even tell her sister about it. It was too dangerous, and people would hunt her down for it. He doesn't know why she had it, all she knows is that her great grandfather had it as well. That's how she knows it runs in the family." Hannah gasped with a small nod of her head to say she understood. "I say that it was dangerous, Hannah, because there are people out there who want the power of people like you. These elements are unheard of. Some aren't even considered elemental masters. Lillian and I did time of research. We went through tons of books, her ancestry, everything. But we only found evidence of a few other living masters. There are hundreds of elements like yours-they can even be more powerful than the elemental masters of Ninjago. Your mother and I believed that they weren't from this world. A few of the elements were Creation-which is basically the ability I construct, rearrange, and control atoms-Glitch-which is exactly what it sounds like-Gas-the ability I control toxic gases and breath through them-and Animals-the ability to understand and control animals. And many, many more. Like I said, there are hundreds of them. Many times, the people who have them do not realize they have them. And then other times, they know from the time they are born. Your power is Space. But the reason these elements have never been known is because they are not considered elements that often. Which is why your mother and I had our theory of them coming from another world. They are strange, mysterious, and sometimes dangerous. And they are known as the Forgotten Elements."

AN-Hey y'all! I finally did it! I finished this chapter!!!! Hooray!!!! I know it isn't as long as I usually do it, but oh well. And we finally got to the part where we see a Forgotten Element! Any theories? Ideas? What will happen next! Let me know what you think!

Byeeeeeee!
