Jay's POV

It's been a week since the aftermath of The BIG Game and I still don't know what exactly happened. I've been asking Kai what happened, but he always told me that it's personal and never talks about it again. I even asked the guys and they said Kai has that answer all the time! 

I just want to know if Nya's okay, but like always Morro is with her. I have over half of my classes with her and only one of them is without Morro!  Anyway it was science and Mr.Wu was telling us our next project. The thing was that we needed to do something to help the community in any shape or form. He gave examples like volunteering for the animal shelter and something else I don't remember, but he said that he was choosing partners..... 

The only person I even like in here is Nya and Kai! I swear if I get Morro as a partner I will scream bloody murder. The teacher grabbed a basket with little pieces of paper that he says has all our names on it and he's drawing random partners and you can't change it. 

"Alright the first pair up is...... Morro" Wu informed as he picked up the first paper, "And Kai." I looked over at Kai who was next to me and it looks like he was about to explode. 

"I can't work with him Wu! I will never get anything done!" Kai yelled desperately as he stood up from his chair. 

I looked across the room to see Nya rolling her eyes at her brothers behavior, "Kai sit down you're making a scene" She told him as he glared at his sister. 

Kai sat back down in his chair looking pretty ticked as usually and the teacher continued calling out names. Then suddenly my name was called and there was three other kids names in the basket. Wu picked up a piece of paper and said, "Nya Smith." 

'YES!' I exclaimed in my head. I got Nya! I couldn't believe I got my crush as my partner! I don't think I have ever been this happy my whole life! I felt something shake me and I broke out of my day dream and saw Kai still angry as before. 

"I don't want to work with Morro, Jay! I can't work with him after what happened last time" He told me as I could see behind him Morro rolling his eyes.

 "What happened last time?" I asked my hot headed friend. 

The boy in  red sighed, "Thank to him, I got kicked off the football team! I always told Nya that it was cause of my grades, but really it was cause of that son of a-" But before Kai could finish, Wu hit his head with a cane, "Don't use fowl language in my class Mr. Smith."

Small giggles were heard over the class and the bell rang before Kai could finish his story. Luckily, that was my last class, so I have the rest of the day off. Kai and the others had so extra courses to get through though, so I was on my own. Well that was until Nya walked up to me sitting at my picnic table. 

"Hey Jay" She said kindly.

 "Hi Nya" I said back with a smile. 

"Is it okay if I sit here with you?" She asked. 

I nodded and she sat down next to me on the bench, "So, I'm guessing you don't have any classes after Science" I assumed. 

The raven head nodded, "Yeah, I just have to wait an extra 45 minutes for my brother to get out of class, so I can go home" Nya said a bit dramatic, but cute at the same time. 

"Well then while we wait, should we talk about what to do for our Science project?" I asked. She nodded and we start thinking of ideas for what to do. 

"Maybe we could volunteer at a nursing home" I suggested to her. 

"I like the idea of the volunteer work, but is it okay to do the children hospital instead of the nursing home?" She asked. 

I gave her a huge smile and nodded, "That's a great idea Nya!" I exclaimed. 

"When should we start?" She asked.

 "How about right now" I suggested as I took one of her hands and stood up.

 She looked at me with shock as she stood up as well, "but Kai-" I interrupted her, "The children hospital is two blocks away and should take about five to ten minutes to get there, and before school ends we can run back over here and it will be like no one notices."

Nya sighed and smiled at me as she started walking with me to the hospital. We talked about some other random stuff as we walked all the way down to the children hospital. Once we made it there Nya went up to the front desk and signed both of us in.

"So how's our favorite volunteer or should I say patient " The lady at the front desk asked say the last part very quietly to the small female. 

Nya giggled a little, "I'm doing great Mistake. Is by any chance lil Nelson available now?" She asked. The old women nodded and Nya gave out a smile, she grabbed my hand and pulled me to the elevator. Once we got in, Nya pressed the button to the fifth floor and the doors closed. 

It was a bit quiet, so I asked, "You were a patient here before?" I asked without warning. 

I could tell Nya was biting her lip, "Oh I-I got sick and came here a for a couple days when I was a bit younger" She said as she played around with her fingers. I could tell she was lying from biting her lip to playing with her fingers, but I didn't want to pressure her into something she didn't want to talk about. 

The elevator doors opened and Nya pulled my hand and dragged us over to a room that as a label that says 'Lil Nelson' she opened the door and the first thing you see was a small red head boy in a wheelchair watching some Netflix. "Lil Nelson" Nya sang happily to get the boy's attention. 

The boy pause the show he was watching and looked towards Nya, "Ms. Nya!" he shouted happily as he rolled in his wheelchair to her to give her a big hug. 

"It's so good to see you again! I thought I wouldn't be able to see you after-" He stopped and looked at me with a scared look and hid behind Nya, "I-is that M-morro?" 

Nya looked from the little boy back to me with a concerned face, "No, this is my friend Jay. He's the blue man I told you about" Nya assured him giving him a loving smile. 

She talked about me to this little kid? I wonder why? The wheelchaired boy came up to me and held out his hand for me to shake, "I'm Nelson, but most people call me Lil Nelson" He introduced. "I'm Jay, but I guess Nya already told you that" I told him as I shook his hand. 

"How long are you two staying for?" Nelson asked. 

Nya looked at the clock on the wall and answered, "Only for a couple minutes, but we might as well catch up with our story shouldn't we?" She said with a smile. The boy nodded and Nya dragged my down to one of the two chairs that were in the room and started her story once Lil Nelson was ready. 

"Where was I from last time" She questioned herself, but Nelson answered it for her, "The five knights were on the battlefield against the three elemental villains!" I chuckled at the little ones funny behavior and listened to Nya and her story, "The battle of the clans begins. They threw punches and kicks at each other, but one grew much taller. And that was the blue knight! He made multiple punches on the green elemental villain as if it was his death wish. But before the knight could finish him off he said, 'you might have beaten me, but that doesn't mean you have the upper hand' and then everything went black for the young blue hero."

"Did the blue knight die?!?" Nelson questioned as he bounced up and down his wheelchair. 

"We may never know. But I'll make sure to tell you more about it in a couple days. Right now me and Jay have to get going" She told the boy. As we were leaving his room I heard a Lil Nelson's voice talking to Nya who was helping him clean up.

 I heard him say, "You should hang out with Jay more often. Or better yet date him instead of Morro, I can see a connection with you two." 

I felt my cheeks burning from my hard core blushing. Nya came out of Nelson's room and walked back to the front desk with me to sign out. We then took our separate ways as she had to get back to the school and I have to walked back to the Junkyard. 

That was until I felt someone grab me from behind and pulled me back into an alley behind a noodle shop. It was a man with a black mask over his face and he started punching me from my face all the way to my stomach. I groaned in pain as blood was escaping my lips and he left me there. 

The last thing I remembered was the man saying, "That's strike one on your warning. Next time he won't be to nice" and after that I saw an orange blur come to me, but I blacked out before I knew what was happening.....
