After dinner, the guys and I were were up late, talking about how great this bounty is. Everything went smoothly until I remembered something.

"Hey Zane, I've been meaning to ask you, what happened to (Y/n)?"

"Oh yeah," Cole caught on. "After you left, she disappeared along with ya. Where'd she go?"

"Well, (Y/n) followed me for a bit and we parted ways." Zane answered.

"Really, that's it? She just left?" Jay ask

"She had to go back to Lloyd."

Silence then filled the room. All of us thinking the same questions. Why would she go back? What's their relationship? I just scoffed at her decision. She knows she'll get into more trouble by sticking with him. 'Feel kinda bad for her. It was then we decided to go to sleep, waiting for the next day. Little did we know, two familiar kids were on their way to cause more trouble...

That night when we left the Hypnobrai's tomb, Lloyd wanted to moved head on to find the Fangpyre tribe. As always, I followed along with his plan but, I was still cautious. I knew about the war and where each of their tomb were located. And the Fangpyre's was my least favorite place in Ninjago.

We walked to through the entrance and I felt unsettled. I could also sense that Lloyd felt the same.

"It's not scary." Lloyd claimed,"...um, maybe just a little, but I like scary. Yeah, that's it! I'm the son of the Dark Lord, I love the dark! Don't you, (Y/n)?"

I shook my head. After yesterday, I went back to speaking very few words. It just soon began to hurt my throat for not talking in a long while.

"You're shaking." He laughed, cockingly. "Come on! I thought you were fearless! I eat this stuff for breakfast- AAAHH!"

I jumped from his sudden scream. Following his gaze, I saw the mutated tree from the map. It's still creepy...

"Woah, I found it!" He says, making his way closer to the center tree. "I'm going to make those hypnobrai pay for betraying me. And what better way to do it than to send another tribe at 'em! Soon the serpentine will know who their master is, and it will be I, Lloyd Garmadon!" He monologues before he got jump scared by the lightning.

I grabbed his arm, making him face me, and I gave the look of my pleading eyes.

"I thought you were on my side?"

"I am, for sure! But I'm also worried. What if they betray you again?"

"...nahh! I'm positive they'll obey me!"

He presses the tomb's button and the hatch is opened. The serpentine tribe jumps from their hole one by one. The general now in front of us.

"And who....May I say released us....From our captivity?" The twin heads spoke.

I was stiff and silent. Too afraid to speak. Lloyd replied, "Uh, Lloyd. I released you to make the Hypnobrai pay for betraying me."

"The Hypnobrai?...Those hypnotizing deceivers...It'll be....Our pleasure!"

"Oh, good! I'll lead the way. Then after that, there's some ninja I want dealt with." My partner says with a wicked grin.

"Sounds like...You know....What you want!....But the Hypnobrai are strong....And we are few in numbers...We need...Reinforcements."

"What did you have in mind?"

- Jay -

I was working on the new defense system but my friends wouldn't let me concentrate. It was painfully obvious what they were trying to pull.

"A~haha, I know what you're trying to." I stood up. "Okay, look. I might have promised to visit my parents. But there's a lot of stuff on my plate."

Nya then walks in and I instantly clean the dirt on my face. "Hehe. Hi, Nya." I waved at her.

"You gonna visit your parents today?" She asked.

"Uh, sure am! Just about to leave." I answered.

"Tell them I said hi." She said before leaving.

The guys give me a questionable look. "What? So my plate's not that full."

I go to clean myself up and ready and go to get Wisp. However, something was up with my dragon. He refused to budge.

"Come on, Wisp." I tugged on his chain. "It'll be a quick visit. Just in and out. Nothing more." Yet, he still resisted.

"Hm, it is as I suspected." Said sensei Wu. "The dragons are molting. They're shedding their scales."

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"Every adolescent dragon goes through a transformation before it becomes an adult. We must allow them to migrate east to the Spirit Coves for their transformation."

"Will we see them again?"

"It is hard to say. But we need to allow them to follow their path."

The rest come out with a sad look. Hearing about the migration, they can't help but feel disappointed.

Great, now I have to walk. I look at Nya and smile. I try to ask her to join me, but instead, everyone ended up coming along. Nice...

Along the walk, we Sensei told us about the history of the flute. Even he was reminding me to respect my ancestors (more like my parents) or suffer the consequences. Yeesh.

We make it to the junkyard and I heard...wait, I don't hear anything. Something didn't sit right.

"What is it?" Nya ask me.

"Its quiet. My family's never quiet!"

We all run inside, looking for my parents. I heard faint, muffled voices coming from an old fridge. I swung the door open and find my parents tied up.

"What happened?! Who did this?!" I peel off the duck tape.

"You gotta get out of here!" My father urged. "You shouldn't have come, it's the snakes!"

"The bite of the fangpyre!" Sensei gasped. "Once they sink their teeth, their venom can turn anything into a serpent! It's only a matter of time before the full transformation is complete!"

We get a first look of Sensei's words as we see a tail forming from Jay's dad's behind.

Hissing was heard around the corners of junk and trash. Turns out, the serpentine were waiting for our arrival. Amongst them, was their general, Lloyd, and (Y/n). Although, I don't think she really wanted to be there, in the first place.

Their first attack was swinging a wrecking ball down on us. Thankfully, we got out of the way and Jay was able to save his parents from getting hit. Sensei looked up at his nephew, giving him the disappointed glare. Lloyd just laughed.

"Hello, uncle. Looks like we're not the only family reunion." He says, refering to Jay's family. "I'm glad you brought the ninja. I could use some help taking out the trash~"

The serpentine aimed another blow at us with the wrecking ball, but quickly dodged it. Nya reminds us to get the staff to cure Jay's parents, however, that's easier said than done. We're outnumbered, nothing better to do than fight.

- You -

I shamefully watched as the ninja fought against the serpentine's forces. Lloyd pulls out a radio player and starts to blast some rock music, canceling out Sensei Wu's flute. The old man grows disappointed and scolds Lloyd, which only encourages him to turn up the noise. I knew this wasn't right, I should be helping them..... No, it's not my place to meddle with their story. At least, not yet.

Suddenly, a rumble vibrated through the junkyard. It came from a giant, robot looking thing that resembled a lot like the blue ninja, Jay.

"What is that thing?" Asked Jay.

"I-it was sssupposed to be in your honor, s-sson. Do you like it??"

Aww, that's sweet!...Totally conveniently inconvenient, though...

The robot chased after the ninja, though it was moving rather slowly, and another swing came from the wrecking ball at them. Three ninjas ducked down, but one latched onto the ball chain. Jay jumped off and kicked a fangpyre off the controls. With just a pull of a lever, the wrecking ball had knocked back the robot into a tower of tires. Lloyd looked back at the ninja with a stink eye and announced a retreat. A snake style helicopter came by with a platform tied by a chain. The general, Lloyd, and I get on and take off, with the rest of the fangpyre following behind.

Just as we're about to get away, a zip of lightning flew passed us. We knew already it was the ninja. The flying mini-jet came right back, but, it seemed like the dude was losing control. We ducked down and came to realized that the staff was gone in a blink. Nice one, Jay. Unfortunately, he lost concentration and his jet poofed out of existence, leaving him to fall. The remaining three ninjas tried to catch him, but their transports had come undone too. Thankfully, that Nya girl caught Jay in his parents car instead.

The general growls and sends everyone to attack, while the ninja and others sped off into desert to get away. We follow them to their Bounty and we're hot on their tail. Suddenly, the Bounty pushes itself off the sand and starts flying. Sand is thrown across the air like a storm, blinding our field of vision. But I some see a shine of gold that was probably the staff. The ninja must've dropped it, letting it fall into the sand.

The helicopter lowers itself and the general picks up the staff. And with a low hiss, the two headed snake grumbles,"thesse ninja...musst be stopped!"

"Ugh...tell me about it.." Lloyd groaned as I patt his shoulder.

The ninja got away, and that's good and all...but I fear the worse is yet to come.. For Ninjago's sake, let's just hope that they're ready for what the future has to bring....
