Hey guys! I'm so sorry this chapter took so long. I was trying to add some chapters to some of my other fanfics and I had total writers block, but I finally created a new chapter (that's really two short chapters in one.) Anyway I thank you all for being patient and I hope you enjoy the chapter!

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

After about an hour of sitting by his bedside, I had finally gotten Ethan to fall asleep again. I kissed his forehead and quietly left the room, returning to my wife in my bedroom. She was wide awake but still seemed sleepy.

"Sorry, did I wake you?"

"No I've been up." She sat up. "Is he asleep?"

"Yes, finally." I sighed and sat next to her. "That's the fifth one this week."

"We can't keep doing this every time he has a nightmare." She frowned.

"I know but what else can we do? He's going to get my father's powers and there's nothing I can do to change that." I sighed.

"Have you tried reaching out to your father? Maybe he can give him some advice." Kira suggested.

"He and Wu have been adventuring all over Ninjago. I don't even know where they are."

"You can call him right?"

"Unless he's in another realm then yeah, but my father's situation was a little different than Ethan's." I told her.

"At this point anything would be helpful." Kira sighed. "He hasn't had a full night's sleep in weeks and it's taking a toll on him."

"I know." I frowned. "I'll see if I can get in touch with my father and see what he says."

"Thank you." She kissed my cheek. "Good night."

"Night."

She laid down and went to sleep. I rolled over and picked up my phone. I decided to text my father so I didn't wake up Kira.

————{{{Lloyd's Phone}}}————

Lloyd: Hey Dad, I don't
know if your getting this
but Ethan's going through
a hard time right now and
I could use some advice.
Contact me when you can.
Thanks.

Dad: What's wrong?

L: Oh I didn't think you
would actually reply
right away... where
are you and Wu?

D: We are actually heading
back to Ninjago City in the
morning. We were going to
surprise you but this sounds
like an emergency.

L: That's great! Ethan
could really use your
help.

D: What's going on?

L: He's been having the
same nightmare almost
every night and hasn't
been sleeping much. It's
affecting his well being
and his training and we're
not sure what to do. We
were hoping you had
some advice for us.

D: Yes I had a similar
problem after I was
bitten. Wu and I will
come over tomorrow
so I can talk to him.

L: That sounds great...
wait you're not planing
on turning him evil
right? 🤨

D: Lloyd I would never
do that. The last thing
this family needs
is another villain.

L: Relax Dad, I'm kidding.
I'll see you tomorrow.

D: see you there.

I put my phone away and went to sleep. Hopefully my father will help us through this.

The next morning...

It was morning and I woke up with Ethan sleeping in the middle of the bed cuddling with his lion toy. Kira wasn't in the room so she must've already woken up. This was nothing unusual, if Ethan woke up with the nightmare again he would walk into my room and sleep with us until morning. It was a vicious cycle but we would rather him sleep with us than get no sleep at all.

I got up from the bed as quietly as I could and tried to sneak over to the door, but I stepped on a creaky board and woke him up.

"Daddy?" Ethan sat up, rubbing his eyes. He looked absolutely exhausted.

"Oh Ethan, I'm sorry you can go back to sleep." I whispered.

"No, I'm hungry." He yawned.

"Alright, let's get some breakfast then."

He got out of bed and I picked him up in my arms and carried him to the kitchen. Kira and the other kids were sitting around the table with some eggs, and bacon. Kira saw me and stood up.

"Hey tiger, did you get enough sleep?" Kira said to him.

"A little." He yawned as I put him down in a seat.

"Ryder can you make your brother a plate please, I need to talk to your mom." I said.

"Sure Dad." Ryder agreed.

He put some eggs on Ethan's plate and Kira pulled me into the other room.

"Lloyd he is exhausted." She frowned. "I'm really worried about him."

"I know, I talked to my dad and he's going to be back in the city later today with Wu. He said the same thing happened to him and he'll do everything he can to help."

"Great." She sighed with relief. I noticed she was holding her arm.

We were both still recovering from the car accident, but she was hurt a lot worse than me. She had a broken rib and sprained her arm so I was trying my best to get her to rest, but she was really stubborn.

"You ok?" I asked.

"Yeah I'm alright. It's just sore." She said.

"You can go lay down if you want, I'll stay with the kids."

"Thanks but I'll be fine." She smiled. "I wanna be here when your father shows up."

All of a sudden we heard a knock on the door. We ran back to the front door and all of the kids did too. I opened it to reveal my father and my uncle.

"Grandpa! Great Uncle Wu!" All the kids shouted and gave them hugs.

"Hello young ones." Wu smiled.

"What are you doing here?" Ashley asked.

"Oh, we were in the neighborhood and dropped by to say hi." My father said.

"I have a few training techniques to show the kids." Master Wu said. "Ryder, Ashley, come with me."

Ryder and Ashley followed Wu to the training yard while my father went to Ethan. He was a little nervous because he had only met my father a few times since he was born.

"So I heard that your getting my powers." He said.

"Y-yeah." He said nervously.

"Ethan it's ok, he's here to help you." I said trying to calm him down. "Just tell him what's going on."

"Ok." He nodded. "I keep having this same nightmare... and I can't sleep."

"You know, I used to have that nightmare too." My father said.

"You did?" He looked up.

"Yep."

"But you turned evil right?" Ethan frowned.

"Yes, I wasn't able to control my powers, but the problem was that I didn't try to." My father sighed.

"You didn't try?" He was confused.

"No, I didn't. At that time, I thought being evil was what wanted, so I didn't fight back, but it's not too late for you."

"You mean I have to fight it?" He looked as his hands.

"It's not something you fight, it's something you have to control." He explained. "You are gonna have this power for the rest of the your life. The best thing you can do is take control of it before it controls you."

"How do I do that?" He asked.

"You have to show it that your not afraid of it." My dad put his hand on Ethan's shoulder.

"But I am afraid." He frowned. "What happens if I can't do it?"

"You can, you just have to be brave." My dad said. "Do you think you can do that?"

"Yeah, I can be brave just like Daddy." He looked up at me and smiled.

"I know you can do it tiger." I smiled.

"Do you wanna try to get some sleep now?" Kira asked.

Ethan yawned and nodded, then Kira took him back into his bedroom. I looked at my father.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"Of course, but standing up to those powers is easier said than done." He frowned. "It will be a challenge for him to get it under control."

"I know, but we only found out a month ago. The powers won't fully come in for a few more years so if he can get those nightmares under control then it will make it easier for him."

"It is good that it happened so early. Now the kid has a better chance of harnessing the power, but at four years old it will be very difficult."

"I'm just trying to get him through this part." I sighed. "The only thing we can do is take it one step at a time."

"Good luck, and I'm always here for you and Ethan whenever you need me."

"Thanks Dad." I gave him a hug.

I was glad to have my dad back, especially with Ethan going through all this. It was definitely going to make it easier on him to have someone that understands what he's going through. I just hope he would be able to handle it.

Cole's P.O.V.:

It had been about a month since we left Nom. Seliel was coming back home today and she said she had some kind of big surprise that she couldn't tell me about over the phone. I didn't know what to think of that, I just hope it wasn't another dragon egg. One dragon was more than enough.

Kirby was in the kitchen helping me clean up a bit.

"So what do you think the big surprise is?" Kirby asked me.

"I don't know, but Seliel usually brings us something from her travels on the way home." I told him. "I didn't think she would do it this time though given everything that happened."

"Did she find someone to take care of the village?"

"Yeah she actually got Dillon to do it."

"Dillon? Isn't that your cousin who was engaged to Seliel?" Kirby asked.

"Yeah, and it was arranged." I reminded him.

"Wasn't he really mean to Seliel?"

"He was, but the only reason he did all that stuff was because he was already in love with someone else before, but had to break it off with them to end the war between their villages."

"Oh, that makes sense." Kirby nodded.

"Yeah, and now that they don't have to get married they're actually good friends. Plus Dillon is a lot more mature now than he was back then. He's actually getting married this summer."

"Great for him." Kirby smiled.

"Dad!" Allison came running down the stairs. "Is Mom here yet?"

"Not yet cupcake, she should be here any minute though." I told her.

"Do you know what the surprise is?" She asked jumping up and down.

"Nope, we'll just have to wait till she gets here." I laughed.

Just then Seliel came in the door and we were all so happy to see her, giving her hugs all around. Pebbles of course gave her a big greeting as well.

"Mom, what was that big surprise you wanted to tell us." Allison asked, impatient as usual.

"I do have one, but your dad and I need to talk about it first." She said.

"Wait, what?" I said surprised.

"Just come with me a second."

Seliel grabbed my arm and pulled me into our bedroom. I was starting to get worried now.

"Seliel, you're scaring me. What's going on?" I asked her.

"I'm pregnant." She whispered.

My eyes lit up. I couldn't believe it.

"Cole?" She waved her hand in front of me.

"H-how long have you...?"

"I found out right after you left, the doctors say I'm a little over a month along."

"And you didn't think to tell me?"

"I wanted to make sure I told you in person and I didn't want you to come to up there and pull Allison along with you. Plus I had so much on my plate already I just didn't want to overwhelm myself or you." She frowned. "I'm so sorry."

"It's ok." I took a deep breath. "I know you've been going through a lot. Does anyone else know?"

"Just Donna, but that's only because she was there when I found out."

"Ok so is this real? Are you serious?"

"Yes Cole I'm serious." She laughed. "Are you gonna be ok with this?"

"Of course I am, it's just a little unexpected." I said. "We said we were done."

"Well destiny had other plans I guess." She shrugged. "Besides, someone has to be the next phantom ninja."

"We'll see what little Cole Junior grows up to be." I laughed.

"What if it's a girl?" She smirked.

"I have a feeling it's gonna be a boy."

"You said the same thing about Allison." Seliel said.

"I can dream can't I?"

"Mom? Dad?" Allison yelled from the living room.

"You know we have to tell her." I looked at her.

"Are you ready?" She asked.

"As I'll ever be."

We went back into the living room and Allison and Kirby were sitting there to hear the surprise.

"You want to tell em?" I looked at her.

"Actually there was one tiny detail I didn't mention." She gave me an awkward smile.

"Hm?"

"I'm having twins." She blurted out.

My jaw dropped. I couldn't believe it. Allison practically fell out of her chair and ran up and hugged Seliel. Kirby couldn't stop laughing.

"Twins?" I said.

"Congrats dude." Kirby smiled and bro-hugged me.

"Twins?" That was only thing I could say.

"Isn't this great Dad? Now I'm going to be a big a sister of two siblings!" Allison said very excitedly.

"Yeah... great..." I gulped.

This was going to be a huge adjustment, but at the same time I was thrilled. I couldn't wait to have babies in the house again. We just had to take it one step at a time.
