The Junior Ninja Team: Part 1
I know it's late, but happy national reading day (in some countries.) Enjoy!

Lloyd's P.O.V.:
I was with Kai flying on the back of his dragon. I was still dizzy and the movement of the dragon combined with being so high up was not helping.
"Kai, slow down!" I yelled. I felt like I was going to throw up.
"Lloyd it's a dragon, it's not even going that fast." He said. "Besides, we're almost there."
"Just slow down please!" I yelled again. "I'm getting dizzy and maybe a little nauseous."
"Are you going to throw up?" Kai asked. "Cause if you do, please aim away from the hair."
"Kai I'm serious!" I held the vomit back in my mouth.
"Ok just give me a sec..."
I couldn't give him that second, I threw up all over Kai. He was so disgusted that he lost his focus and his dragon disappeared. We both hurdled towards the ground. Kai tried to spark it back up, but he failed and we both ended up falling, ironically landing in front of Cole's place.
Kai was lucky enough to land in a soft bush, but I landed in a tree, onto a branch, then another branch, then the ground. My left side was so sore I wasn't able to get up by myself. On top of that, I needed to throw up even more now.
Cole's P.O.V.:
Everyone was already gathered around my living room, we were just waiting on Kai and Lloyd.
Thud.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Probably my husband." Skylor rolled her eyes and Kira laughed.
"Let's go see what they got themselves into this time." Kira said.
"I'll go too." Nya offered.
Kira, Skylor and I went outside to see Kai crawling out of a bush and Lloyd coughing and laying against the tree. He looked sick as if he was trying not to throw up.
"Lloyd!" Kira ran to his aid. "What happened? Are you hurt?"
"I-I'm fine." Lloyd groaned as she helped him sit up. He sure didn't look fine to me.
"Here buddy, let's get you inside." I said helping Kira pick him up.
"Guys stop. I can walk by myself." Lloyd snarked.
Kira helped him up and he could barely stand. He was holding his left side still looked like he was going to throw up.
"Lloyd if you're gonna puke, keep it outside." I said. "I don't want Pebbles eating it off the floor."
Lloyd limped behind the tree and we could hear him throwing up. Kira and I looked at each other, we knew there was something wrong.
"Kai?" Skylor said as she and Nya helped him out of the bush and checked him for injuries. "You ok?"
"I'm a bit dizzy, but I'll be alright." Kai said leaning on them for balance.
"Kai, what's all over you?" Nya asked, noticing the stuff all over his back.
"Trust me, you do not want to know." Kai frowned. "Cole do you mind if I use your shower?"
"Go right ahead." I said.
"Thanks." He said before dizzily limping inside for the bathroom. We all turned our attention back to Lloyd.
"Lloyd are you ok?" Kira asked. Lloyd was still behind the tree.
"Yes just gonna need a minute." He said. "I'm fine it was just a bumpy ride. Tell Kai I'm sorry."
"I will." Nya said. "Don't worry, it's not your fault your sick."
"I'm not..." we all heard him throw up again. "Ow!"
"What's wrong? Did you hit your side?" Kira panicked.
"It's a little sore, but it's fine." Lloyd said.
"You guys go back inside, I'll take care of Lloyd and we'll be in a second." Kira told us.
"Alright, take it easy guys." I said as Nya, Skylor and I went back inside. I sure hope Lloyd would be ok.
Kira's P.O.V.:
Lloyd finally came out from behind the tree and he looked pale and dizzy. He was holding his side and coughing. I ran up to him and helped him sit on the ground.
"Ok, I think I got it all out of me." Lloyd sighed.
"Here, let me look at that." I insisted looking at his side.
He nodded and I gently touched his side to see if his rib was broken. He flinched in pain and groaned. I didn't think it was broken, but it was definitely causing him pain. He tried to get up but I stopped him.
"Careful." I said.
"Kira it's not broken." Lloyd rolled his eyes and held his head in pain.
"Did you hit your head?"
"I don't think so, but I've had this bad migraine all day." Lloyd told me.
"I thought that was because Wu and your father were back?"
"I did too, but now I'm worried it might be something else."
"Here Kira." Nya came outside with a first aid kit, a towel and a bag of ice packs in her hands. "We thought you might need these."
"Thanks Nya." I said taking them from her and opening the kit.
"Is Kai mad at me?" Lloyd looked at Nya.
"Lloyd don't worry, it wasn't your fault." Nya assured him.
"Are the kids still mad at me?" Lloyd frowned.
"No of course not, why would they be?" I asked.
"Because I don't spend enough time with Ashley, and Ryder and I can't stop fighting for more than three seconds." He frowned. "Face it, they hate me."
"Lloyd that's crazy, the kids love you." I said tending to his wounds.
"I just don't want to fight with them anymore." He frowned.
As we were talking, I wrapped up his stomach so he wouldn't injure his side any further, and then wrapped his head to help with his migraine. I placed an ice pack on both his side and his head and cleaned his clothes with the towel.
"How's that feel?" I asked.
"I'm fine." Lloyd stated.
"Do I need to get Ashley?" I asked.
"No, I don't want her to use her powers unless she has to." Lloyd said. "Anyway, what did Cole want?"
"We don't know, we were waiting for you and Kai to get here first." Nya said.
"Well if he called everyone, then it must be important." Lloyd said as he tried to get up.
"Be careful." I told him.
"If you guys need to go home, I can fill you in later." Nya offered.
"No, I want to stay." Lloyd insisted before coughing again.
"Are you sure?" I asked him.
"Yes Kira I'm sure." Lloyd nodded.
"Alright then let's get you inside." I said as Nya and I helped him to his feet.
After getting him in the house and settled on the couch, Ashley ran up to Lloyd and set on his lap. At first I was worried about her accidentally hurting Lloyd, but the smile on Lloyd's face told me he was more than happy to let her sit there. I was glad to see them together again.
"Ok, I think I got it all off of me." Kai came back from the bathroom wearing one of Cole's old sweatshirts. He was limping a bit and his left leg was obviously him, but he seemed better than before.
"I'm sorry Kai, I didn't mean to..."
"It's ok Lloyd." Kai interrupted him. "Let's just never talk about this again. EVER."
"Agreed." Lloyd nodded.
"Kai, you're limping." Nya said. "Are you ok?"
"Yes sis, I'm alright. Just a bit roughed up from earlier." He answered as Skylor helped him sit in a chair.
"Here, let me look at that leg." Skylor insisted.
"I'm fine babe." Kai said to her.
Skylor ran into the kitchen and came back with an ice pack. Kai flinched as she put it on his leg, but I could tell it wasn't broken.
"Ok Cole, now that we're all here, mind telling us what this was all about?" Jay asked.
"Oh right." Cole remembered.
Narrator's P.O.V.:
Cole told them all about the dreams he had been having and what Yang had said to him. Everyone was a bit shocked to hear about the other villains' kids.
"So wait, how can we be sure Yang is even telling the truth?" Jay asked.
"Because he is." Alex said, showing everyone the wound on his chest. "One of them did this to me."
"Not to mention one of them landed Ryder in the hospital." Lloyd said looking at his son.
"And the other one saved my life." Ryder stated.
"And then tried to kidnap you and broke your arm." Lloyd yelled.
"Boys stop it, we are not having this discussion again!" Kira demanded.
Lloyd and Ryder shut up and reluctantly dropped the topic. The others thought this was strange because they had never seen them fight like this before.
"Wait did you say granddaughter of Clouse?" Matt asked.
"How do you know Clouse?" Jay asked him.
"I don't know, but that name sounds familiar." He held his head.
"The point is there's a team of new villains out there and we have to do something about it before more people get hurt." Zane said, getting everyone back on track.
"So what do you suggest we do?" Nya asked Cole.
"Well the only thing I can think of is for us to come out of retirement and become ninja again." Cole suggested.
"No, we retired to raise our kids." Nya protested. "We don't have time to go back to being ninja."
"I agree." Kai said. "Plus we've been out of the game for so long it will take us a while to get back into shape."
"Perhaps it would be better to teach them how to fight." Zane said.
"Zane, are you crazy?!" Nya yelled ruffling her twins' hair. "I don't want my babies getting hurt."
"Mom!" Jax and Lily groaned at the same time.
"Maybe this is a topic for the grownups to talk about." Seliel said.
"Awe, but I wanna be a ninja!" Trent whined.
"We'll talk about it." Kai said to his son. "Now why don't you guys go into the other room and play."
"Play? What are we four?" Amber rolled her eyes.
"Fine, then you guys can help Cole and Seliel by cleaning the house." Kai smirked.
"And we're playing." Amber gave in.
She and the other kids went into the other room. The adults got back to their earlier conversation.
Lloyd's P.O.V.:
I was trying my best to pay attention, but my head was still pounding like crazy. I knew one thing, I didn't want Ryder becoming a ninja. If the vision I keep getting was correct, he was wearing a green ninja suit. Maybe if I could keep him from becoming a ninja, we wouldn't have to fight.
"Nya, they've already unlocked unlocked their true potentials, it's their destiny to become ninja one day, whether we want them to or not." Jay said to his wife.
"I know." Nya sighed.
Kira looked over and noticed I was holding my head.
"Lloyd?" She got my attention. "Are you sure you're ok?"
"Oh yeah, just a bit dizzy from earlier." I lied. My migraine was still killing me.
"What do you think we should do?" Nya asked me.
"Well Ashley's told me she doesn't want to be a ninja, and I'm more than fine with that." I said. "But I don't want Ryder getting hurt again."
"I thought you already started his training?" Kai questioned.
"We have, but only because his powers can be dangerous if he can't control them." I told him.
"If he's already started training, then why not let him be a ninja?" Cole asked me.
"Because the green ninja is a huge responsibility and Ryder's just not ready to handle." I said not looking at anyone. I didn't want them knowing about that nightmare I keep having.
"I see where you're coming from, but I don't think we have a choice." Kira frowned. "If the new junior ninja team is going to succeed they'll need all the help we can get, and if he's the green ninja he'll have to lead it."
"Kira, I don't want him fighting. He could get hurt." I stated.
"It is not advisable to defy destiny Lloyd." Zane said. "Remember when we tried to prevent the final battle between you and your..."
"I know Zane, don't remind me." I rolled my eyes.
"Junior ninja team?" Jay questioned. "I like it."
"Well I don't." Nya said. "I don't want my kids doing something that dangerous."
"It's inevitable Nya, this is what they were born to do." Seliel said.
"Well most of them." Skylor frowned.
"What do you mean?" Kai asked.
"I mean about Trent." She continued. "I love that little boy, and it breaks my heart to say this, but maybe it's better if he doesn't become a ninja. He's got his asthma and his powers haven't come in yet if he even has them. I just don't think it's a good idea. Plus I don't want him to get hurt."
"You know I hate it when you're right, but this time I agree with you." Kai frowned. "It's gonna break his heart, but it's for the best."
"What about Matt?" Jay asked Nya.
"I'm sure he'll find his own way to help on the team." Nya smiled.
"So wait, I'm confused. I thought we said we weren't going to let them be ninja." Jay said.
"It's just like Zane said, we can't argue with destiny." Nya said. "The least we can do is prepare them so they'll be ready."
"So it's settled then." Kai said. "We start their training first thing in the morning."
I hated the idea of Ryder becoming a ninja. That means that my vision might come true. I couldn't bare to think of doing to him what my father did to me.
It hurt to think, it hurt to move. It felt like my body was screaming at me. Usually when this happened, it was Wu or my father contacting me from the realm of madness, but they were back now so that wasn't the case. Maybe I did hit my head when I fell off my dragon earlier, but it was hurting before that.
I groaned and Kira looked over at me. I could tell she was worried.
"Ok that's it, I'm taking you to the hospital." Kira insisted.
"We can deal with that later, right now we have to..."
I was going to make up some excuse, but I realized that she had a point. My head was killing me, Plus this way I could postpone Ryder's training a little longer.
"Actually yeah, I think it's getting worse." I held my head.
"Ok now I know something's wrong if you actually want to go." Kira seemed more worried than before. "Cole, Seliel, do you mind watching Ryder and Ashley for a few hours? I'll call Misako to pick them up later."
"Of course." Seliel agreed.
"Alright Lloyd, let's go." Kira said helping me to my feet.
When Kira helped me up, I had trouble finding my balance and fell into her. She caught me before I sank to the floor. Nya came over and helped Kira hold me up.
"You guys need a ride?" Nya offered.
"Thank you Nya, but we'll just take my car, I don't think Lloyd can handle another dragon ride right now." Kira said.
"Good idea." Kai said. "Feel better buddy."
"Thanks." I told everyone.
Kira and Nya helped me into Kira's car and she drove me to the hospital and checked me in. Once they made sure I didn't have a concussion, they told me that I had a bruised rib from the fall and treated that, but they couldn't explain why I had such a bad migraine. They gave me some medicine to help with the pain. I was feeling a lot better now, but I wanted answers. Why was this happening to me?
"Feeling better Lloyd?" Kira asked me, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, I'm good now." I smiled at her. "Thanks for always being there for me Kira."
"Of course." She smiled back at me and kissed me on the cheek.
"Something is still bothering you, what is it?"
I took a deep breath. It was time I told her the truth.
"Kira, do you remember what happened right after you came back, when I was having that nightmare where I was fighting Ryder?" I asked.
"Yeah." She answered. "I thought you stopped having them after Ashley was born."
"Well I haven't been entirely honest with you." I sighed. She knew what I meant.
"How often do you have them?"
"Almost every other night." I sighed. "I'm worried that if we train Ryder to become a ninja..."
"Then you might have to fight him one day." She frowned and I nodded.
"I don't want to, but it's getting closer everyday. Ryder and I are already fighting and I just don't want what happen to me to happen to him too."
"Lloyd calm down, you're gonna have another panic attack." Kira said slightly massaging my shoulders.
I let out a deep breath. "I don't want to fight him."
"Maybe you're wrong, maybe it's just your fear taking over you."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean maybe this all in your head." Kira said. "You keep having this nightmare because you think it's going to happen, but what if it never does? And even if it is true, you can't just let it control you for the rest of your life."
"So you're saying that I should ignore it?"
"What I'm saying is if you focus on what's going on in the future, you'll miss what's going on in the present."
Kira's advice made me smile. She always knew exactly what to say.
Once I was feeling better, Kira checked me out and she drove me back home. My mom was concerned about me, but I told I was ok and Kira helped me into bed. Her advice was working and for once I finally got a good nights sleep.
The next morning...
I woke up and I was feeling much better than I did yesterday. My migraine wasn't completely gone, but it felt a whole lot better, as did my rib. Kira had already gotten up so I went downstairs and my family was enjoying some doughnuts.
"Good morning Lloyd." My mother said. "Feeling better today?"
"Yeah I feel a lot better now." I smiled at them.
"You're welcome." Ashley winked at me. Now I see why I was feeling so good this morning.
"Ashley, did you use your powers on me after I went to bed last night?" I asked.
"Maaaayyybe." She said not looking at me.
"Ashley, thank you for healing me, but you've got to be careful with powers like that." I told her. "If you use them too much it could make you tired and we don't want that. Ok?"
"But I just thought that I could help." Ashley frowned.
"You did help, and one day you'll be able to help a lot more people with your powers, but you need to learn how to properly use them first." I told her.
"Ok." She sighed. "I'm sorry."
"It's ok, just next time ask us first."
Ashley nodded and gave me a hug. She also gave me an idea.
"Alright, after breakfast get your training armor on." I said to Ryder.
"Why?" Ryder continued eating his doughnut.
"Well, the junior ninja team is gonna need a leader, aren't they?" I smiled and my son smiled back. We were finally getting things back on track.
