I know it's super early, but I've been awake since four am and couldn't fall back asleep so enjoy.

Cole's P.O.V.:

"Hey. Hey man wake up." I heard someone say.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw the cashier in front of me. I was still in that ice cream shop.

"Are you alright?" He asked me.

I nodded and the cashier helped me up and made sure I was ok. Then I looked around and the place was trashed.

"Wow, they really did a number on this place." I said.

"Yeah and on you too." He pointed to my wrist. "Are you sure you're alright?"

"Yeah." I said, it honestly didn't hurt that bad. Then I remembered that Lloyd was in trouble. "Hey do you mind if I use your phone? I need to call my friend and warn him."

"Of course." He agreed and handed me his cell phone. "I'll go get you an ice pack from the break room for your wrist."

"You really don't need to..."

"It's my pleasure, I would've been a goner without you." He smiled and went in the back.

I dialed Lloyd's number on the phone and tried to call him but he didn't pick up. I tried again but there was still no answer. I thought that was strange so I called Seliel instead and told her to be careful and to protect Allison. I didn't tell her that I was attacked, but just that the villain kid alliance was spotted in the area and they should be careful.

I told them I'd be taking a short trip to the store to recharge my phone, but I would really be at Lloyd's to check in on him. Once I hung up I tried to call Lloyd again, but once again he didn't answer. I was really worried now.

I tried to use my powers to spark up my dragon, but my wrist was hurting so much I couldn't do it. It must have been worse than I thought.

The cashier came back and gave me an ice pack for my wrist. I placed it on my wrist and I flinched in pain.

"Do you need to take you to a hospital?" He asked me.

"No, it'll be fine thank you." I said somewhat panicked. "What I do need is a ride if you wouldn't mind."

"Of course, this way." He showed me to his car parked right out front. "The name is Austin by the way."

"I'm Cole." I introduced myself.

I had Austin drive me as close to the monastery as possible and then I walked the rest of the way. I got up to the training yard and saw Lloyd, Kira and Ryder being taken away. Lloyd was limping and his leg was bleeding badly. I got worried because I didn't see Ashley with them.

"Where is she!" One of the girls demanded to know.

"We're not going to tell you anything!" Kira yelled.

"For the last time, let them go Maizy! It's me your father wants." Lloyd begged.

"If you only knew." She whispered under her breath.

Maizy and the other girl started to drag them away. I couldn't let that happen. I jumped out in the open and did spinjitsu to knock them both over. I managed to get Ryder free, but they got away with Lloyd and Kira.

I started to run after them, but one of them hit me with a slowed time bubble and that gave them enough time to get away. Before they dragged them off, I read Lloyd's lips that said "take care of them."

Once they were far enough away, the bubble disappeared and I dropped to my knees. I caught my breath and ran over to help Ryder. He was tied up in ropes that were laced with vingestone. I tried to untie him, but my wrist hurt even more now. I grabbed a ninja star that she must've dropped and cut him free with that instead.

"Uncle Cole?" He questioned.

"Ryder, are you ok?" I asked him.

"My... my parents they... they were kidnapped... or parent-napped or..."

"Hey kid, calm down. It's ok, you're safe now." I tried to calm him down.

"Ashley... Th-They wanted Ashley." He caught his breath.

"Take it easy kid. Are you hurt?"

He shook his head and I helped him up. He seemed to be shaken up, but he looked physically ok.

"Come on, let's find your sister and then I'll take you back to my place."

Ryder nodded and we went inside to search the monastery. We found Ashley hiding inside a cabinet and I was relieved she was alright. Poor girl was scared senseless.

"Ashley!" Ryder hugged her. "I'm so glad you're ok."

"Did they take them?" She asked.

"I... I couldn't stop them." Ryder frowned. "I'm sorry."

"Don't beat yourself up about it kid, no one could've saw this coming." I told him.

"Where is your grandma, Wu and Garmadon?" I asked them.

"They went to take a few of my uncle's things back to him and grandpa's place." Ryder explained. "They left five minutes before this all happened."

"Alright, I'll take you two there." I said. "You'll be safe with them."

"I promise we will get them back Ashley." Ryder hugged his sister.

"Come on guys, let's go." I said.

I didn't want to freak the kids out, but I had to get them somewhere safe. Not to mention I have no idea if Allison and Seliel were ok or where Lloyd and Kira were taken. I didn't even have my phone on me and my wrist wasn't doing me any favors. I wasn't sure I could do this by myself.

I tried to form my dragon but I couldn't get it to work. My wrist was still hurting badly.

"Uncle Cole?" Ashley looked at me holding my wrist. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine, we just need to get you both somewhere safe." I told them.

I tried my dragon again, but as hard as I tried I couldn't get it working. That wasn't my top priority anyway, it was getting these kids somewhere safe. Then I remembered that Austin was still outside in his car. I didn't want to have them get a ride from a stranger, but at that point I was out of options.

I got Ryder and Ashley and went outside where Austin was still parked. I explained to him the situation and he agreed to give us a ride. I had Ryder call Misako and tell her what was going on and get directions to Wu and Garmadon's apartment and we went there. I went with them to make sure they got there ok.

"Uncle Cole?" Ryder asked me from the back seat of the car. "Do you think my parents will be alright?"

"Relax kiddo, your parents are the some of toughest people I know, it takes a lot to bring them down." I told him. "I'm sure they'll be ok."

Kira's P.O.V.:

I woke up in some kind of dungeon. I didn't know where I was, but that wasn't my concern at the moment. I looked next to me at my husband and he was unconscious. His leg was still bleeding and it looked like it had been for a while. I took the bandana out of my hair and immediately wrapped it around his leg and tried my best to stop the bleeding. I felt his pulse and it was slower than normal, but steady.

"Lloyd! Lloyd wake up." I yelled trying to gently wake him up.

It took about an hour of trying, but he finally started to wake up. He seemed freaked out.

"Kira?" He woke up in a panic and set up quickly, but then he held his head and slid so he was sitting against the wall.

"Careful Lloyd, you're hurt." I calmed him down.

"The kids... where are they?" He asked panicked.

"I'm sure Cole will take good care of them." I assured him. "Do you feel lightheaded at all?"

"A little." He answered. "Wait, what happened to Ashley?"

"Relax, I had her hiding in the monastery and I'm sure Cole will find her and make sure both her and Ryder are safe."

"How can you be so calm about this?" He asked frustrated. "Our kids are in danger and we have no way of helping them."

"I'm worried about them too, but we have to stay calm." I told him. "Besides, your parents and Wu are probably on their way back to the monastery by now. When they get there I'm sure they'll take care of them."

"You're right." He sighed. "I just really hope their ok."

"Me too." I frowned.

I was honestly terrified about what would happen to the kids, but Lloyd needed to stay calm in his condition. Seeing me panicking wasn't going to help him.

"How is your leg feeling?" I asked him.

"It feels better now." He answered as he noticed the bandana I had wrapped around his wound. "Thank you."

"Does your side still hurt?"

"A little but it's not as bad as before." He told me. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine Lloyd, don't worry." I told him.

"Do you think I can stand?"

"I wouldn't risk it." I warned. "You've lost a lot of blood and you'll make it worse if you're not careful."

"But we need to help Ryder and Ashley." He frowned and held his head again. "Ugh!"

"Does your head hurt?" I asked him.

Lloyd looked up at me and nodded.

"Are your powers back?" I asked.

"Even if they were, those bars are made of vingestone." He sighed.

"Does it feel like a migraine or are you still lightheaded?"

"It's just a bad headache, I'm fine."

He was still holding his head. I was really concerned about him. I saw one of the man's guards standing outside of our cell. I ran to the door and put my hands on the bars.

"Please, my husband, he's been bleeding. You've gotta get him some food and water." I demanded.

The guard rolled his eyes and left. He came back a few minutes later with two small bowls of rice and two cups of water.

"You're lucky he wants you both alive, for now." He said throwing the items into our cell.

I thanked him and then I made sure that Lloyd got his meal. He didn't seem interested in eating at the moment though.

"What does he want with our daughter?" Lloyd asked, gritting his teeth.

"Well, if I told you that he'd fire me." The guard said.

"How do you know him?" I asked.

"Oh you mean Akamu? He's sort of my brother in law." He said.

"So that would make you Maizy's uncle?" Lloyd realized.

"On her mother's side yes." He sighed.

"If you don't mind, is your sister still..."

"Sort of." He interrupted me. "When Maizy was a baby, she and my sister Zoey got into a car accident. Like Maizy, Zoey was the master of forcefields. She used her powers to save her daughter instead of herself. Maizy survived without a scratch, but Zoey's injuries left her in a coma ever since."

"I'm so sorry." I frowned.

"I've accepted the fact that she might not ever wake up, and I'm not even sure Maizy knows the story, but it's been even harder on Akamu." He frowned. "He still thinks there's a way to save her and he refuses to let her go."

Lloyd and I looked at each other. We now understood everything, but we couldn't let the guard know that in case he told Akamu.

"Excuse me, Mr..."

"Zach." He introduced himself.

"Zach." I said his name. "Can you please get me some ice packs and some bandages, my husband is in pain."

He agreed and left to get the items I asked for. I turned to Lloyd and he was worried sick.

"It all makes sense now." Lloyd's eyes lit up.

"What do you mean Lloyd?" I asked.

"Think about it, if he thinks there's still a way to save his wife, then he must think Ashley's powers can wake her up."

"But Ashley's eight years old and she's only had her powers for a couple weeks, there's no way she could handle something like that."

"I know that, but Ashley doesn't. If he gets to her and then uses us as bait, then he won't set us free until Ashley wakes her up. She'll think she doesn't have a choice. And unlike us, he won't let her stop if it's too much for her." Lloyd held his head again.

"Lloyd calm down, you're going to make your headache worse."

"How can I calm down? He's going to hurt our baby girl." He screamed. "We both know that amount of power could be enough to hurt her, or worse."

"I'm worried about her too, but us panicking isn't going to help." I frowned. "It's best that we stay calm."

Zach came back with the supplies and handed them to me. I immediately started wrapping up Lloyd's head with the bandages and then I checked on his leg. It wasn't bleeding very much anymore but it still was a little. I dressed his wound in bandages and then put my bandana over it to make it stay.

"Ahh!" Lloyd hissed as I placed an ice pack on his leg and one on his head.

"Lloyd please eat something." I insisted handing him the food. "You need to get some food in your system."

"I'm too worried to eat." He frowned.

"It does no one any good if you're not looking after yourself."

"Fine but only because I don't want you to worry about me." He agreed and picked up the bowl of rice.

"Thank you." I sighed with relief.

"Zach!" We heard a man yelling. "Prepare the prisoners for interrogation."

"R-Right away boss." Zach nervously saluted.

"Please listen to us." Lloyd begged. "We know how hard it must have been when you lost your sister, but I have a son who's going to lose his if you let Akamu go through with this. You have a choice, you can help us and make sure that doesn't happen."

"I'm sorry, I'd love to help you, folks, but Akamu always gets what he wants. And he doesn't like to wait." Zach said opening the cell. He put cuffs around me and pushed me in the corner. "Akamu wants you to go first."

"Kira!" Lloyd screamed. "Let her go!"

"Sorry, Akamu's orders." Zach sighed.

"Don't worry Lloyd, I'll be fine." I gave him a little smile before he pushed me away.

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

I was worried sick about Kira. It had felt like hours before she finally came back. She looked so exhausted and as soon as Zach took the cuffs off of her she caught her breath and kneeled on the ground.

"Kira!" I screamed.

I ignored all the injuries I had and forced myself to get up. I limped over to Kira and helped her up. She was holding her arm.

"Are you ok?" I asked looking at her arm.

"Don't worry Lloyd, I'm fine." She said.

"You have five minutes till your turn." Zach said to me. Then he left.

"Kira what happened to you in there?" I asked.

"When I told him I didn't know where Ashley and Ryder were, he didn't believe me. He thought I was lying and he was determined to get the truth out of me, but I was telling the truth."

"Are you hurt?" I asked as I noticed she was still holding her arm.

"I'm fine Lloyd." She assured me. But she sure didn't look fine to me.

"Kira sit down, let me see." I insisted.

She nodded and set on the ground. I touched her arm to see how much it was hurting her and she flinched. By then the ice packs he gave us were mostly melted, but it was better than nothing. I wrapped up her arm with the bandages and placed the ice pack on it.

"But Lloyd you need that." She frowned.

"Hey you took care of me, and now I'm going to take care of you." I smiled. "Does it feel better now?"

"Yeah, thank you." She said. "You should really be sitting down, your leg is still pretty bad."

"It's ok, it's feeling better." I told her. It honestly was feeling a little better, but it was still a little hard to walk on.

" How's your headache?" She asked.

"It's fine. Now stop worrying about me and get some rest please."

"Your turn green ninja." Zach came back and opened the cell door, vingestone cuffs in his hands.

"Ok, let's get this over with." I held out my hands.

"Be careful Lloyd." Kira warned me. "I love you."

"I love you too." I told her.

Zach kept pushing me towards the interrogation room. I wasn't looking forward to going through this, but I knew one thing, that guy had hurt my wife and he deserved everything that's coming to him.

When we got there he tied me down to a chair and left me in the room alone. A few minutes later Akamu appeared in front of me.

"Well Lloyd, looks like I have the upper hand this time." He said. "If you know what's good for you, you won't hold out on me like your wife did."

"Kira was telling the truth Akamu!" I screamed. "We don't know where our kids are, and even if we did we wouldn't tell you."

"I know your daughter has the power I need. Lives are at stake here." He screamed in my face.

"Akamu, Zach told us the story. I'm sorry about your wife, but my daughter won't be able to make her better. She just got her powers and she's only eight. The amount of power that would take could be enough to kill her." I frowned.

"So what if it does? She's not my concern, the only thing that matters is that Zoey wakes up."

"Even if she gave it everything she had, there's still a chance she couldn't do it."

"You're bluffing, I think your daughter can do it she just hasn't tried!" Akamu said.

"Letting go of your loved ones is hard, I should know, but your wife's been in a coma for several years. If she hasn't woken up by now, it's not right to keep her suffering like this."

"No! I promised her I would wake her up. I have to wake her up."

"Well Ashley isn't going to help you."

I wished I believed what I had just said. My daughter has a heart of gold and in most situations that's a good thing, but she has no idea what her limits are yet. If she attempts this, she'll have no idea what she's in for. I hope my friends can put a stop to this before that happens.

"I'd have all of you by now if my worthless daughter hadn't gotten in the way." He said frustrated.

"So she just does whatever you ask her to like some kind of servant?" I questioned.

"Yeah, what's your point?"

"You don't think that's a tiny bit harsh?"

"Aren't your kids loyal to you?"

"Yes but loyalty works better if it's gained by love and respect, not by force." I told him.

"Oh really, says the guy that's been so busy fighting with his son he's been ignoring his daughter." Akamu crossed his arms.

"Ok so maybe I haven't been the best father in the world lately, but I still love my kids with all my heart and I would do anything to keep them from getting hurt, which is more than I say for you."

"Don't tell me how to parent greenie." He taunted.

"Ok first of all, only Kira can call me that, and second of all, anyone who treats their daughter like that doesn't deserve to be a father." I stated.

"You'll pay for saying that!"

"If you want a fair fight, untie me." I smirked.

"I'm not falling for that." He screamed.

"Oh come on, I'll go easy on you, at first at least." I taunted.

"You remind me of someone." Akamu got in my face.

"That's a cold blow. Can't say I'm surprised, it runs in your family." I scowled, knowing who he was comparing me to.

I could see the anger welling up inside him and he made one swift move and punched me in the eye. I didn't dare scream for fear that Kira might hear me, but it hurt and I could feel it swelling.

He called Zach back into the room and he cuffed my and was about to lead me out.

"We're done for now, but keep talking like that and they'll be more beatings where that came from." Akamu threatened. "You still think you need to take it easy on me?"

"Yeah, you hurt my wife, all bets are off." I gritted my teeth. "Next time I won't play so nice."
