This is kind of 2 chapters in one because they were too short to post on their own so sorry if they seem like they don't go together. Honestly I just really wanted to upload something. Enjoy!

Zane's P.O.V.:
"That's strange." I said to Pixal. "Alex should be back from his date with Cass by now."
"It is peculiar." Pixal agreed. "He is probably just running late."
"He would call me if he was going to be late." I reminded her. "I don't know I have a bad feeling that something's wrong."
All of a sudden someone knocked on the door. I opened it to see Cass holding an unconscious Alex in her arms. A large part of his chest was scorched and he had scratches all over him.
"Please help him." Cass begged.
Pixal and I immediately got him into the lab and she started repairing him. Cass followed us inside.
"How did he get like this?" I asked Cass.
"We were at the park having a picnic when this guy, who looked a lot like Alex, took a shot at me." She explained. "Alex jumped in front of me and he got hit instead. He saved my life."
"Did you see where he went?" I asked.
"No, I would've gone after him but I had to get Alex out of there."
"You did the right thing bringing him to us." I said trying to calm her down. "This was not your fault."
"How is he?" Cass asked Pixal.
"I treated that wound and gave him a full reboot. It could be a while before he's back online." Pixal frowned.
"Will he be ok?" I asked.
"Luckily his vital systems were not too damaged, his auto-repair should take care of that." She said. "That burn is pretty bad, he could be in pain for a while."
"Can I stay until he wakes up? I feel so terrible." Cass asked.
"Of course." I said. "I think he would like that."
"Here, call your father and tell him you are coming home late." Pixal handed Cass her phone.
"Thank you." She took the phone and started to dial.
It took hours but Alex finally came back online. Pixal, Cass and I ran into the room and by his bedside.
"Mother? Father? Cass? What happened?" He asked waking up. He tried sitting up but he held his chest in pain. "Gah!"
"Take it easy Alex." Pixal said helping him lay back down. "You took a pretty hard hit."
"Are you ok?" He asked Cass.
"I'm fine thanks to you." Cass smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
"How are you feeling son?" I asked.
"I have been better." He frowned and tried to sit up again. I could tell he was in pain.
"Careful." I said helping him sit up.
"Did you see who did this to you?" Pixal asked.
He held his head. "I... I remember seeing... someone. He... he looked just like me. It was so strange. H-he wanted to hurt Cass."
"We will look into that later, right now you need to rest and let your auto repair do it's job." I insisted.
"Sorry Dad, I do not have time. I have to find this guy before he hurts anybody else." Alex said struggling to get out of bed.
"That sounds like a bad idea son." Pixal said. "You can't take another hit like that."
"If his blasts affects a nindroid like this, to a normal human it could be fatal." He stated. "I have to catch him before that happens."
"We see where your head is at son, but you cannot do that until you are better." Pixal said.
"We'll tell the police and the other ninja to keep their eyes open." I said. "You need to stay here and rest."
"I'm sorry, but I was built to protect others who cannot protect themselves and I must fulfill my duty to Ninjago."
Alex set up and got out of the bed. He was limping and clinching his chest in pain. I couldn't bare to see him like that, but Pixal and I knew there was no use talking him out of it. I love that my son is so determined to do the right thing, but sometimes he does not think about his well being as much as he thinks about others. I cannot complain though, he gets that from me.
Alex tried to use his powers to cover his wound, but they were not working. "Wait, why is it not...?"
"I am sorry Alex, the only way I could get you to reboot properly involved temporarily disabling your elemental powers." Pixal explained. "They should be back online shortly."
"Alex wait. Let me see." I used my powers to cover the wound on his chest in ice. "Is that better?"
"A little." He answered. "Thank you Father."
"Alex you should really get back in bed." Pixal insisted. "I don't want you to push your limits."
"I'm fine Mom." Alex continued limping towards the door.
"Alex look at me." Cass got in front of him. "You don't have to be the hero this time, I can make sure Ninjago stays safe."
"Cass I cannot ask you to do that." Alex insisted.
"I wasn't asking." She said sternly.
Alex stopped in his tracks and took Cass's hands. "Cass, he's after you. You do not know what you're up against. He's dangerous and I want to protect you."
"I don't need protecting, I just need you to rest and get better." She smiled. "Can you do that for me?"
Alex frowned and nodded. "Just promise me that you will be careful. I cannot afford to lose something as vital to me as you are."
"You are vital to me too." Cass smiled. "I will come back to you."
"Who does that remind you of?" Pixal smiled at me.
"Our boy is much like us." I smiled back. "We have taught him well."
"Ow!" Alex clinched his wound again. Cass comforted him.
"Alex maybe we should get you to your grandpa Borg's place and have him take a look at that." Pixal suggested. "He may be able to do more than we can."
"But what about Cass?" He asked.
"She is welcome to come with us, Borg said he was ok with it." I said and Cass nodded.
"Ok, but we need to find this guy." Alex insisted.
"Wait, do you think that this was the same person who robbed Borg Industries a few days ago?" Pixal asked.
"It does seem the most logical." I pondered. "Perhaps Borg will let us look at the security cameras so we can get a better idea of who's behind all this."
"Great idea!" Alex exclaimed. "Let's go!"
"But only after he takes a look at you first." Pixal reminded him.
"Yes Mother." He sighed.
Pixal called Borg to tell him that we were coming. Then I took everyone to Borg's on my dragon, being careful not injure Alex any farther.
We arrived at Borg's and took Alex inside and into the lab to get him a diagnostics test and repairs. Borg was using his scanners and had Alex hooked up to a computer.
"I was ready as soon as you called." He told Pixal.
"Thank you father." Pixal said. "I did what I could to fix him, but I wanted you to take a look at him too just to be safe."
"You've done very well Pixal. There's actually not that much left for me to repair." Borg said typing on his computer.
"How is he?" I asked.
"Other than his chest there's no extensive damage to his systems." Borg confirmed. "I cleaned his wound and buffed out his dents so that should help with the pain. I've also done a small update to his auto repair so the damage should clear up faster."
"Thank you Father." Pixal said.
"Do you feel better Alex?" I asked.
"Yes I feel much better now." He answered. "Thank you Grandpa."
"You're more than welcome Alex." Borg smiled. "How did you say this happened again?"
"Alex and I were on a date in the park and someone shot at me but he pushed me out of the way." Cass explained.
"Cass said the guy looked just like Alex and we think it may be the same one who was responsible for the break in." I told him.
"We were wondering if we could check the security footage and see if she can recognize him." Pixal said.
"Of course." Borg agreed. "Once we're done here, we can look at the cameras."
"Thank you." I said.
"Am I finished yet?" Alex asked Borg. I sensed he was becoming frustrated.
"Alex, be patient." Pixal told him. "Your grandfather is just trying to help."
"Actually I'm all done." Borg said. "Everything looks good, just take it easy for a little while."
"Alright, now let's get to the bottom of this." Alex exclaimed as he jumped off the examination table and took the connector out.
"Easy Alex." Cass said, giving him a shoulder to lean on.
"Do not worry Cass, I am ok now." He assured her.
We helped him to the security room and looked at the footage from that night. Cass seemed to recognize the guy.
"That's him." Cass pointed to the screen. "That's the guy from the park."
"Why does he look exactly like me?" Alex asked.
"We do not know." I answered. "I take it that was the information he was after."
"It was strange how they only took the information from when Alex was built here." Borg said.
"Ok so that explains how he looks like Alex, but where did he come from?" I pondered. "It's not like nindroids just build themselves."
"You may have a point Zane." Borg agreed with me and started to pull something up on his computer.
"What do you mean Father?" Pixal asked.
"Right before the break in, there was some unusual activity going on in the old nindroid factory." Borg explained.
"I thought the factory was shut down after the overlord takeover." I recalled.
"It was, that's why it was strange." He said. "I was so focused on the robbery I had almost completely forgotten about it."
"You don't think it was one of your employees do you?" Pixal asked him.
"I don't think so, but it is a possibility." Borg frowned.
"Well if that's going to get us the bottom of this, then perhaps we should check it out." Alex said.
"Absolutely not!" I yelled at him.
Alex looked disappointed and confused as to why I had raised my voice. Normally I would never do such a thing, but this time I had a good reason. A very good reason.
"I'm sorry Alex. I did not mean to yell." I apologized. "It's just if this involves the Overlord, I don't want you anywhere near it."
"Your father's right son." Pixal said. "Our past experiences with the Overlord have gone... not so well."
"But you and Dad taught me to be prepared for anything. Did you not?" Alex said.
Pixal and I looked at each other. We had never fully told him about what happened with the Overlord. To be honest, we didn't think we would have to. We were both hoping that name would never came up again, especially in front of our son. I would never forgive myself if what happened to me, happened to Alex too.
"We did not think you would need to face the Overlord." I frowned. "And even if we had trained you, you're in no condition to do so now."
"It's not the Overlord, just his creation." Borg said. "I believe he hacked into the facility and used leftover droid parts to create his own nindroid."
"So you are saying that this nindroid is the son of the Overlord?" Cass asked.
"To put it simply, yes." Borg said.
"There has been quite the crime spree in Ninjago lately." Pixal said. "Perhaps the same culprit is behind that as well?"
"I fear this is only the first piece behind a much bigger problem." I said.
Cole's P.O.V.:
I was tossing and turning in my bed trying to get some sleep, but I found it nearly impossible. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened at the cabin that night.
I knew that Yang was trying to talk to me, but that's exactly why I refused to let myself fall asleep. I didn't want to hear what he had to say. And more importantly, I didn't want him anywhere near my family.
I got out of bed, being careful not to wake Seliel, and went to the kitchen and made me some coffee. It was almost done brewing when I heard someone walking into the living room. It was my daughter.
"Allison?" I questioned. "What are you doing up?"
"I was just... thirsty." She said not looking me in the eyes. I could tell she had something on her mind.
"I couldn't sleep either." I yawned as I finished pouring my coffee.
"If you can't sleep, then why are you making coffee?" She asked.
"It's decaf." I lied. "Is there something on your mind cupcake?"
"No." Her voice got higher than usual, meaning she was lying.
"Come on sweetheart, you don't have to keep secrets from me." I said. "If something's bothering you, I need to know about it ok?"
"Ok." She sighed. "Well ever since the camping trip in the cabin I keep seeing this ghost in my dreams."
My eyes lit up and the coffee I was drinking spewed out of my mouth. If she's seeing Yang too, than that means he's found a way to contact Allison too. I should've seen this coming. I should've warned her that this was going to happen, maybe then she wouldn't have been so scared.
"Dad? What's wrong?" Allison asked, concerned about the spit take I just did.
"Oh sorry, this tastes really bad." Technically that wasn't a lie. I wasn't the best at making coffee. "Anyway what did the ghost look like?"
"He was old and he had a long black bread." She told me. "He was telling me things."
"What kind of things?"
"I think it was a warning. He said to watch out for someone, but I woke up before I found out who." She yawned.
"Sounds like you had some nightmare." I said.
"But it felt so real." She held her head. "It was like he was actually there talking to me, but that can't be right. There's no such thing as ghosts."
"You ok cupcake?" I asked.
"I have this weird headache." She sighed. "It comes and goes mostly at night and that's why I can't sleep."
I had gone so long without telling her the truth about me. I was afraid that if I didn't tell her now, she would get herself in more trouble. I had to put my feelings and fears aside and tell her what happened.
"Allison, there's something I have to tell you." I sighed. "And it's kind of a long story."
We had a talk and I told her everything about what happened to me. How Yang's temple turned me into a ghost, how I could turn invisible, why we both have lava arms, and how Yang pushed me into the portal and turned me human again. I didn't bother mentioning the reflections in the caves of despair, she didn't need to know about that part. She was understandably confused about all of it, but after a bit more explaining she believed me.
"So, you were really a ghost?" She questioned.
"Yes." I frowned. "I didn't tell you because I was afraid it might've scared you."
"So is that why you have that scar on your forehead?" She asked.
"Oh you know about that?" I said awkwardly scratching the back of my head. Allison nodded. "I'm sorry cupcake, I should've told you about all of this sooner."
"So wait, that ghost I saw in my dream. He was real?"
"Yes but he won't hurt you." I assured her. "He and I made amends after Day of the Departed and I'll make sure he keeps it that way."
"How? Does he talk to you too?" She asked.
"Sort of." I said. I noticed Allison could barely keep her eyes open. "I'll tell you more in the morning. Right now you need you some rest."
"Ok. Thanks Dad." She smiled. "I feel a lot better now."
"And next time promise you'll tell me what's going on."
"I promise." She said. "Good night Dad."
"Sweet dreams cupcake." I kissed her on her forehead and she went to her room to sleep.
Once she closed her door I headed back to my room. As I got up the scar in my forehead started hurting like crazy and I got a migraine. I immediately fell to my knees and I couldn't get back up.
"Cole?" I heard someone quietly call my name. It was my wife.
Seliel came into the kitchen and gasped as she saw me. I probably woke her up by the sound of me falling. She helped me onto the couch and started to check on me.
"What happened?" She whispered.
"I'm ok Seliel, I just tripped and hit my head on the table." I lied and held my head so she wouldn't see that the scar on my forehead was glowing.
"You better stay up for a while in case you have a concussion." Seliel stated. "I'll make you a doctors appointment first thing in the morning."
"No need, I'm good." I assured her. "If I stay up all night I'll be ok."
"Are you bleeding? Let me see." She demanded, noticing I was keeping my scar covered.
"I'd rather not."
"Cole, don't be a baby." She crossed her arms. "Besides, I already know about your scar. You have nothing to hide."
I sighed and removed my hand. She saw my scar and she was looking at it weird.
"It glows like that when Yang wants to talk to me." I explained. "It's also pretty painful when that happens."
"That's why your head hurts doesn't it?" She asked and I nodded. "What were you doing up anyway?"
"I couldn't sleep. I'm sorry for waking you."
"That's ok. Why does Yang want to talk to you?"
"I don't know, but I bet it's something important."
"Then you should probably see what it is, right?"
"Look the truth is I haven't slept since we got back from the cabin because I was afraid of what he was going to say." I admitted.
"That was four days ago. No wonder you've been so tired lately." Seliel realized. "Come on, let's get you back into bed."
"Ok you're right." I sighed. "Besides, I have a few choice words for Yang."
Seliel helped me get off the couch and walked me back into the bedroom. As soon as my body hit the mattress I fell right asleep.
"Oh, after all this time you finally came to talk." Yang said appearing in front of me.
"Save it Yang! I didn't come to talk." I yelled. "I only came to tell you to stay away from my daughter."
"I'm sorry, I never meant to scare her." He apologized. "I was trying to warn her."
"Warn her? About what?" I asked.
"The Villain Kid Alliance." He said. I was suddenly more interested in what he was saying. "My grandson has been putting together a team of descendants of some of the villains you have faced in the past."
"Your grandson? Descendants? I thought the other villains didn't have any relatives."
"Most of them didn't know." He sighed. "I fell in love and had a daughter long before I became a sensei. When my wife past, my daughter became one of students and she was until you freed her with the others."
"What happened to her?"
"She fell in love and had a child, but her husband left her soon after their son was born to raise him by herself. When my daughter passed she left him with my temple and I thought that was the end of it."
"It wasn't?" I questioned.
"It was until Morro's nephew found the temple and started rounding up other villain kids."
"Others? How many are dealing with?"
"There's my grandson Marcus and Morro's nephew Seth. They should be the masterminds behind the alliance. Then there's Maizy, niece of Harumi and master of forcefields, and Zera, the granddaughter of Crux, and Lena the granddaughter of Clouse. Even the Overlord has his own creation."
"Wait, how did that happen?"
"That doesn't matter. What does matter is that whatever their plan is, I want yours and the other ninja's kids to put a stop to it."
"Wait, why not just us?" I asked. "No need to bring our children down into this when we can just do it ourselves."
"Because destiny says that the next generation of elemental masters will be the ones who will defeat them." He explained. "It is up to the former ninja to train them for what is to come."
"I don't want my daughter to be a ninja, it's too dangerous." I stated.
"She's already inherited your elemental powers, it's inevitable."
"I know." I sighed. "Alright I'll tell the others, but you have to promise me that you'll stop scaring Allison."
"Ok, but you have to promise me no harm will come Marcus." He said.
"Ok, I promise." I agreed.
All of a sudden I woke up. Seliel was still awake. I still had a headache, but it felt better than before.
"You ok?" Seliel asked me.
"Yeah yeah I'm good." I told her.
"What did Yang say?" She asked.
"Let's just say he wanted to me to pass on a message to the other ninja. An important one."
"Well you can tell them tomorrow. You need to rest and everyone is probably asleep right now anyway." Seliel insisted.
"You're right." I sighed. "Maybe I should catch up on my sleep."
My wife gave me a kiss on the cheek and we said our good nights. Then for the first time in a long time I finally had a good nights sleep.
