Lloyd's P.O.V.:

I woke up and I was feeling great. I had made it through the entire night without a single nightmare and I was grateful for it. Kira wasn't there so she must have gotten up already.

I went to the kitchen and saw my mom, Kira and Ryder there eating breakfast.

"Good morning honey." Kira said to me. "Did you sleep ok?"

"Yeah, I feel so much better." I stretched and yawned.

"Well I'm glad." Kira smiled. "Oh Zane tried to call you last night. He said that he had the results from yesterday."

"Oh really?" I questioned sounding nervous. "W-what did he find?"

"I don't know, he said he wanted to tell us in person so I told them they could come over for lunch today." Kira said.

"Ok great." I replied as I set down next to her. "Did he say what he found?"

"He'll tell us when he gets here I guess." Kira told me. "But if you slept all night without a nightmare then it can't be that bad."

"But what if it is?" I frowned.

"Whatever happens, I'll be here for you." Kira comforted me. "No matter what it is we'll get through it together. Trust me you have nothing to worry about."

"If you say so." I sighed. "Thank you."

"Of course." She said.

"Morning Daddy." Ryder smiled.

"Good morning son." I said to Ryder.

"So Lloyd, Ryder was just telling me how much fun he had yesterday." Kira smiled.

"Yeah, it was so much fun!" Ryder exclaimed. "Hey Mommy, when is my little brother coming?"

"Remember bud, you could get a brother or a sister." I reminded him.

"Yeah, but I have a feeling it's a boy." Ryder said.

"We'll see." Kira laughed. "He or she will be here soon enough."

"Ok." He sighed.

I was really nervous about what the results were going to be. What if it was something I couldn't control? What if my father was back? What if he came after me, or more importantly my family?

Later that day, Zane, Pixal and Alex all arrived for lunch. We all set down and started eating. Kira got reacquainted with Zane and Pixal and got to meet Alex. Alex and Ryder also had fun together. They were pretty good friends.

After lunch, My mom took Alex and Ryder went into the playroom to play while Zane and Pixal set down with me and Kira.

"So, the results are back?" I asked.

"Yes, thank you for agreeing to meet with us in person." Zane said.

"It was no problem at all Zane." Kira said. "It's nice to see you guys again."

"It's nice to see you again too." Pixal smiled.

"Anyway, the results I got." Zane said. "Lloyd, those were not dreams, they were visions. Something that's going to happen in the future."

"You mean I'll have to fight my son one day?" I was scared.

"I'm not sure." Zane continued. "Visions are not always correct, it seems you're father is trying to contact you."

"Contact me? Why?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, but you two seem to have a connection that's causing you both to get the same visions." He said. "It's almost as if it's
trying to bring you into a link between worlds that only people of your DNA can get to."

"If my father wants to talk to me, then why make things so complicated?" I asked.

"Lloyd. There's something you need to know." Kira sighed.

"What is it?" I looked at her.

"Well..." Kira started. "When me, Jay, Nya and Cole were at Kryptarian Prison, we found out something."

"What?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, but Lloyd." She put her hand on my shoulder. "Garmadon is back."

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. "My father is back and you didn't tell me?"

"Well it's just that you were so stressed out the other day and with the baby and the tests and the kids and I didn't want to add to that. I'm so sorry." I could see her starting to cry.

"Sweetheart it's ok." I comforted her. "You were just looking out for me."

How could she not tell me? I was mad, but I just got her back. If I told her I was mad she might leave me again. She was pregnant with my child and last time she was pregnant she got really emotional with just about everything. However, she could have put herself, the baby, my mother and my son in danger by not telling me about my father.

"No it's not ok." She cried. "I should have told you. I'm sorry."

"It's ok, you were just thinking about what was best for me." I kissed her on the cheek. "Go on Zane."

"As I was saying." Zane continued. "Your father's trying to pull you into another realm or dimension or something like that."

"Well he wasn't able to that before why would he do that now?" I asked.

"Does it have anything to do with the baby?" Kira asked.

"I doubt it. I have no idea why this is happening at the moment, but I'm looking into it."

"Wait, you said it was something with my DNA, does that mean this could effect Ryder too?" I asked.

"He could if he wanted to." Zane warned.

"I didn't think he knew about Ryder, does he?" Pixal asked.

"No. He doesn't know about Kira, Ryder or the baby and he never will." I said. "I need to keep my family safe."

"Well I would keep an eye on Ryder for now just in case." Zane suggested.

"Of course." Kira agreed.

"Thank you for all your help guys." I said.

"No problem Lloyd." Pixal said.

"Glad to be of assistance." Zane said.

Just then my mom walked into the kitchen and she was holding Ryder in her arms with Alex following her. Ryder looked upset and he was crying. Me and Kira ran over to him.

"What's wrong buddy?" Kira said as she took Ryder.

"Mom what happened?" I asked.

"I don't know, he was tired so I laid him on the couch for a nap and he woke up like this." My mom explained. "Maybe he had a nightmare or something."

"It's ok, Ryder it was just a bad dream." Kira assured him as she was hugging him. "Calm down."

"Zane, can you scan him please?" I asked.

"Of course." Zane replied.

Zane scanned Ryder and his expression went from normal to confused in a matter of seconds. That scared me.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I don't know, but I don't think it has anything to do with your father." He said. "It looks like he's just catching a cold."

"Achoo!" Ryder sneezed and leaned back into Kira.

"Awe come on buddy let's get you into bed ok?" Kira cooed.

Ryder shook his head and leaned into her.

"What's wrong bud?" I asked.

He didn't tell me anything and kept hugging Kira. It was like he was afraid of me. Maybe Zane was wrong and it was something to do with my father, unless he was lying to me. No of course not, Zane would never do that, would he?

"Are you sure Zane? Something isn't right." I said worried.

"Oh, I forgot he's Oni too." Zane said. "One second."

He adjusted his scanners, I think, and then he scanned Ryder again.

"I think he might have had the same nightmare you did." Zane explained. "I do not think Garmadon was behind his though. It looks like it was just a coincidence. His sickness may be due to him developing your powers Lloyd."

"So you're absolutely sure that it has nothing to do with my father?" I wanted to be sure.

"Yes. He shows no signs of being pulled into the realm you were." Zane said.

"That's a relief." I sighed. "Thank you Zane."

"Honey, he's burning up." Kira told me feeling Ryder's forehead.

"It's ok bud." I said to Ryder.

I tried to comfort him but he pushed me away. I knew exactly what was happening, I knew why he was afraid of me.

"Ryder listen to me." I talked to him. "You are my son, I love you and I would do anything for you. That guy in your dream was not the real me. That guy tried to take over me, and make me do something I would never do in a million years."

"B-but you said you didn't have a son." He stuttered.

"That wasn't me, that was the bad guy. The one who tried to take over me." I sighed. "Look I'm gonna tell you something my uncle told me. The best way to defeat your enemy, is to make them your friend."

"I don't understand." Ryder said.

"You will one day." I smiled. "Just know that no matter what happens, remember that you'll always be my son and I will always love you."

Kira put him down and Ryder ran to me and jumped into my arms.

"I love you Daddy." He cried.

"I love too son."

I hugged him and he started to cry, but this time they were happy tears. He continued to hug me until he started coughing and sneezing. I felt his forehead and he felt warm.

"How about we get you into bed hah?" I suggested.

He nodded and I put him down for a nap. Then I went back into the kitchen to say goodbye to Zane, Pixal and Alex. They went back home and I went back into the kitchen with my mom and Kira.

"I sure hope Ryder's going to be ok." I told Kira and my mom.

"Good thing you were here to calm him down." Kira kissed me on the cheek. "You're such a good father Lloyd."

"I am?" I questioned.

"Of course you are." My mom said. "You've always been a great dad."

"Well Ryder certainly thinks so." Kira said. "And the baby will too. I know he or she will."

"Thank you." I hugged them.

It meant the world to me that they thought I was a good father. It was all I've ever wanted to hear, and it came from the people I trusted the most. Whatever happened in the future, I was going to do everything in my power to protect my family, whatever it takes.
