Zane's P.O.V.:

Today was going to be pretty exciting day for Alex. Cyrus Borg said he had discovered a way to give Alex my powers without taking them away from me or harming him. I did not know how that was possible, but I was curious nonetheless.

So Pixal, Alex and I were getting ready to go. We didn't tell Alex where we were going because we wanted it to be a surprise. We arrived at Borg's place and he met us at the door.

"Hello Nindroids." Borg exclaimed as he used his robotic spider legs to come closer to us. "It's so nice to see you again."

"Nice to see you too father." Pixal smiled.

"Hi Grandpa." Alex said.

Alex always called Borg Grandpa. We actually never programmed him to do that.

"So you said you had something you wanted to show us?" I was getting a little anxious.

"Oh of course. Right this way." Borg said.

We followed Borg up to his lab and I noticed a capsule in the corner of the room.

"What is that Borg?" I asked pointing to it.

"That is the reason you're here." He smiled. "This machine is designed to to copy elemental powers and transfer them to another person, or robot in this case."

"You mean it would give Alex my powers without taking them out of me?" I asked.

"Exactly." Borg said. "All I need is a copy of your powers and he'll be just as powerful as you, if not stronger."

"Wait, so am I really going to have powers like you Dad?" Alex asked me.

"Affirmative, assuming this works." I told him.

"I'm not sure about this." Pixal said. "What if they get hurt?"

"I can assure you nothing is going to happen. This machine has been tested many times without anything going wrong." Borg assured her.

"Will it hurt?" Alex asked.

"Not one bit." Borg assured him.

"Alex, you do not have to go through with this you do not want to." I told him. "It is your decision."

"Well, what do you think?" Borg looked at Alex.

"Um." Alex took a second to think. "Ok let's do it."

First Borg hooked me up inside the capsule and it started to scan me. Then it took a little of my power and the machine replicated them. I felt a little dizzy after it was all done, but I would be fine after a few minutes.

Then me and Alex traded places and he stood up in the capsule. I was a little worried about him, but he looked excited to be getting powers.

Borg turned the machine back on and it started to scan Alex. Then blue light began coming in from the sides of the machine and started going into Alex. He started to struggle a little and eventually he fell to his knees until the machine was done. As soon as it stopped, I ran into the capsule and helped Alex back up.

"Are you ok son?" I asked helping him out of the capsule.

"I think so." He told me.

"Do you feel any different?" Pixal asked our son.

"Honestly no." Alex sighed. "I do not know if it was successful."

"According to my readings, your powers should be settling in any day now." Borg said.

"Are there any side effects to the machine that we should watch out for?" Pixal asked.

"Not that I know of, but since these are ice powers, it might freeze his circuits and cause him to go offline for a few seconds. It shouldn't harm him though." Borg explained.

"Alright, we'll keep an eye on him." I said. "Thanks again."

"It was no trouble at all Zane." Borg said. "Enjoy the new powers Alex."

"I will. Thank you Grandpa!" Alex said excitedly.

"You're very welcome." He smiled.

We all said our goodbyes to Borg and we started to head back home. However I was so tired and dizzy from Borgs machine I couldn't spark up my dragon. Pixal had to take us both back in her samurai X suit.

Once we got home I took a nap. Yes, nindroids DO sleep. When I woke up I was feeling much better. I walked into the living room to see Pixal and Alex.

"Hey how are you feeling?" My wife asked.

"I'm feeling much better thank you." I said. "Any powers yet Alex?"

"I froze up about an hour ago, but other than nothing." He said.

"At least we know it worked." I said trying to lift his spirits.

"I guess." He shrugged.

"I sense you are troubled Alex?" I asked him.

"It's just what if I'm not able to control my new powers when they come in? What if I end up getting hurt, or worse, hurting someone else." He frowned.

"Alex relax." I said. "There's nothing to worry about. You're gonna be a great elemental master. I know you will."

"Plus you'll have a great teacher." Pixal looked at me and I smiled.

"Correct. I'll show you everything I can." I assured him. "Trust me you can do this."

"Thanks dad." He hugged me. "I feel better now."

"I'm glad." I smiled.

Two days later...

Alex had a few more freeze episodes over the past few days, but so far he couldn't get his powers to work. We were sure he was gonna get powers, it was only a matter of time before his powers settled in.

I walked into the kitchen and ran into Alex and Pixal. Alex was sitting on the couch playing with his hands trying to get his powers to work. That's basically all he did since we got back from Borg's that day.

"Anything yet?" I asked him.

"Nope, nothing." He sounded frustrated. "Am I doing something wrong?"

"Of course not." I set down next to him. "You just need to be patient."

"For how long?" He groaned.

"It shouldn't be long now." Pixal said.

A few hours passed and then it finally happened. Alex felt a surge of cold energy flow through his systems. We both knew this would be it. He was a little scared but he looked excited.

"W-What was that?" He asked us.

"I think that is what you have been waiting for son." I smiled.

"Really?" He asked excitedly.

"Come on give it a try." Pixal insisted.

Alex lifted up his hand and he was able to make a small ball of ice with his powers. I have never seen him so happy before.

"I'm doing it! I'm doing it!" He exclaimed.

"See I knew you could do it." I said. "I'm so proud of you Alex."

Me and Pixal hugged him. We were so proud and happy that he finally got powers, and he would keep getting stronger and stronger. I guess sometimes things work out perfectly.
