Kira's P.O.V.:

*******Flashback*********

I was searching the village of Stixx in search of a special artifact called the teapot of Tyran. Legends say it was home of an evil djinn who was looking for unlimited wishes. I never believed that though, but the people at the Ninjago history museum wanted it so that they could keep it safe. I thought it would be a fun adventure to try to find it.

Although my husband Lloyd didn't think it would be a good idea, especially with a two year old in the house. I told him that I would only be gone a few days, but I was already missing Lloyd and my son Ryder.

I loved my family more than anything, but my heart kept telling me to keep adventuring. I tried not to listen to it but it kept calling to me. The more I ignored it, the harder it got. So I thought that this short trip would fulfill my desire for adventure, but I was already starting to miss my family back home. I would've just turned around and went back home, but I made such a big deal about leaving. Did Lloyd even want to see me again?

After a ship pulled into port, I got permission from the captain to search the cargo. Among the rumble, I found what I was looking for. The teapot was right in front of me. The plan was to get it to the museum so no one could let the djinn out of his teapot again.

I had it in my hands until I tripped over a box and dropped it. The puzzle on it completed itself and the djinn came out.

"Hello little girl." He said.

"What do you want?" I asked as he backed me into a corner.

"You have freed me from my teapot. You now have three wishes. You cannot wish for love, death, or more wishes."

"I don't need a wish." I yelled at him.

I picked up a sword I found within the ship's cargo and I remember what my dad had taught me about fighting. I charged at him with the sword, but he teleported out of the way.

"I wish I'd known you were going to do that." I said catching my breath.

"You're wish is yours to keep." He granted my wish.

"Dang it!"

"Where is the blue ninja?" He asked.

"What do you want with Jay?"

"That is none of your business little girl."

"I wish you would stop calling little girl."

"Your wish is yours to keep." He granted my second wish.

This guy wasn't letting up, I had to make my last wish count, because I have heard stories of people being imprisoned in his teapot once they made their final wish. So I had to be smart about this.

I put down the sword and faced the djinn head on.

"I wish you would not be able to be seen or heard and would not be able to harm anyone for 3 years."

I saw the djinn's face drop as I said this.

"Your wish is yours to keep." He said as he sucked me into the teapot.

My one thought as he sucked me into the teapot was:

'I'm sorry Lloyd and Ryder.'

3 Years Later...

I was awake. I was back on the cargo ship and it was still docked in Stixx. I didn't see any signs of the djinn, just the teapot. I was stupid and decided to put the puzzle on the teapot back together but nothing happened. Meaning that someone else had probably defeated him.

I wasn't too concerned with that, I was going to find Lloyd and Ryder. I didn't know how long I've been gone, but maybe they didn't want me back after I left like I did, whether they wanted me back or not, I had to find them to apologize in person. I just wanted to see them again.

I started to walk around the village and I see a familiar green dragon flying overhead. Riding it was a white haired man and smaller a white haired little boy in front of him. I immediately realized that it was Lloyd and Ryder. I looked up and Lloyd made eye contact with me for a few seconds. I felt like it had been so long since I looked into his gorgeous green eyes. I quickly ducked into the alleyway hoping that he didn't recognize me in case he was mad at me.

Some time after that I saw Lloyd and Ryder eating at a table and on instinct I called out to him.

"L-Lloyd?"

He turned around and his green eyes lit up.

"Kira?!" He said.

"Mommy!" My son ran up to me.

*******End of Flashback*******

Now I was back with my family in the monastery and was settling into my old/new home. I was just sitting in my room thinking things over.

Some things had changed. Misako was living with us now, and I was really glad she was. My mother was never around much when I was growing up, so she was like the mother I never had. Lloyd had become a better father over the years, but he still had a lot to learn. As for Ryder, he was much smarter and more independent. I had missed so much of his life, he was a completely different person now from when he was two.

But at the same time, some things never change. Lloyd and Ryder still loved me all the same, even though I felt like I didn't deserve it. How could I leave my family like that for something so stupid? I may not be able to fix my mistakes, but at least I can make sure to never leave them alone like that again.

Although if I was honest with myself, I missed the thrill of adventure. I was that kind of person that didn't like to stay in one place very long. So even though I barely remember what it is was like in that teapot, I still realized that I had been there for three years. I didn't care if I never stepped out of the monastery again, I had my family back together, and that was was more exciting then any adventure.

"Hey Kira, I want to show you something."  Lloyd said peering his head into our room carrying a book. "Consider it a welcome back gift."

"Oh Lloyd you didn't have to do that." I told him as he set down next to me.

"I know, it's just something we were making in case you ever came home." He smiled and handed me the book. "And well, now you are home."

I opened the book and it was a photo album filled with pictures I didn't recognize.

"I don't remember any of these photos." I said.

"That's because they were taken after you left." He explained. "Since you were gone so long I thought we would take these for you, so you wouldn't miss a thing."

"Wow, and you thought of this?"

"Well it was kind of the whole family's idea."

"Well I love it." I kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you."

Pretty soon Lloyd, Ryder, Misako and I were all sitting on the couch looking at the photos. Ryder was sitting in my lap and Lloyd had his arm around me. They spent the entire day pointing at the pictures and telling me stories of stuff that happened while I was away. There was a picture from Ryder's 4th birthday party that he was very excited to show me. It was of him in a party hat and he had a dragon shaped cake.

"...And that was my dragon cake Mommy." Ryder said pointing to the picture.

"Haha, I see that son." I said. "That's really cool."

We continued to look at the pictures and I noticed that none of the other ninja or their families were in the pictures. I had to bring that to Lloyd's attention.

"Lloyd?" I looked at him. "Why aren't your friends in any of these pictures?"

"Well, once you disappeared we kind of all went our separate ways." Lloyd explained. "They all had their own kids to take care of. I still kept in touch with them but I was really upset and didn't want to see anyone. Plus I had to stay here and take care of Ryder."

"So up until the day before yesterday you hadn't seen them at all?" I asked.

Lloyd shook his head.

"Why?" I asked.

"Come on Ryder, Let's go get a snack." Misako said.

"Ok Grandma." Ryder replied.

Misako took Ryder and headed into the kitchen. I could tell that something was wrong with Lloyd, he looked really sad.

"What's wrong Lloyd?" I asked him.

"When you went missing I was devastated, but I had to stay strong for Ryder." Lloyd said as he looked at me. "At first I didn't want anyone to see me like that, especially my friends. Everyone told me you were going to turn up, but I didn't believe them. You weren't answering your phone and I knew something was wrong. I wanted to go out and look for you but I couldn't leave our son all alone without a father. That's when I asked my mom to move in. I couldn't see my friends like that."

"Oh Lloyd, I'm so sorry. I had no idea." I gave him a hug and a kiss on cheek. "I promise I'm not going anywhere this time."

"Thank you." He hugged me.

"If it's alright with you, I would really like to see everyone again." I said. "I'm sure all their kids have grown up a lot too."

"Of course. I'm sure they would be thrilled to see you too." He said.

"Yeah I still remember the day I met them all."

**********Flashback***********

Narrator's P.O.V:

Kira was on her way back from a hunt for the lost city of Auraborus. She was going back to where her hideaway was in the desert, but it was really hot that day and she had run out of water. The heat had gotten to her head and she had passed out.

Little did she know that Lloyd and Zane were testing out a new vehicle nearby. Zane was driving and noticed her passed out on the ground.

"Wait Lloyd, do you see that?" Zane asked Lloyd.

"See what?" Lloyd replied as he looked a little closer. "That doesn't look good. We should check it out."

"Who is that?" Zane said.

"I don't know, but we better make sure they're not hurt."

"Right."

Zane drove the vehicle over to where she was him and Lloyd got out of the vehicle. Lloyd immediately recognized it was Kira.

"KIRA?!" Lloyd exclaimed sounding panicked. He tried to shake her awake. "Kira? Come on wake up."

"You know her?" Zane asked.

"She's the girl I've been telling you about. The one who saved my life a month ago. We have to help her."

"Get her in the car." Zane told him.

They picked up Kira carefully and got her in the vehicle. Then Zane drove them back and they took her aboard the bounty. They got her to the infirmary and took care of her. Then she woke up with no one but Lloyd in front of her.

"What happened?" Kira said waking up.

"Relax, you're among friends." Lloyd smiled.

"Lloyd?" She was shocked. "What are you doing here? What happened?"

"Me and Zane were in the dessert and we saw you passed out." He explained. "Are you feeling ok?"

"I'm fine thanks." She said. "How is the ankle feeling?"

"It's all better now."

"Why did you save me?"

"I was just returning the favor." He winked. "Plus I'm a ninja, it's kind of my job."

"Well it's nice to see you again." Kira smiled.

"It's nice to see you again too. But next time we meet, can one us not be unconscious?"

They had a good laugh.

"Lloyd, can I tell you something?" Kira asked.

"Of course." Lloyd smiled.

"You're all I've been thinking about since I saved you a while back." Kira admitted. "As hard as I tried I couldn't get you out of my head."

"I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been thinking about you too." Lloyd smiled.

"More like talking about you all the time." Jay said as he walked into the room. The other ninja and Pixal followed him.

"Who are they?" Kira asked sitting up from the bed.

"Kira, meet Jay, Kai, Zane, Cole, Nya and Pixal. Guys, this is Kira." Lloyd said as he pointed to each of them.

"Oh so these are the friends you were telling me about?" Kira said.

"And you must be Lloyd's girlfriend." Cole teased.

"Cole!" Lloyd scolded as he started blushing.

"Ooo somebody's blushing!" Kai smiled as pointed to Lloyd.

"Guys knock it off. Kira needs to rest right now." Lloyd screamed.

"It's quite alright Lloyd. I'm feeling ok." Kira assured him. "It's nice to meet you guys. Thanks for taking me in."

"No problem." Zane answered.

"We're happy to help." Nya said.

"You can spend the night here if you want." Lloyd smiled.

"Sure, it would be nice to get to know all of you." Kira looked at Lloyd. "And I would love to catch up with you, Lloyd."

That day they all got to know Kira. She fit right in with everyone. She showed Jay how to fix the training bot and gave Cole some tips on how to improve his cooking skills. She also showed Kai how to meditate and work out his anger issues and helped Zane and Pixal scout out locations to search for rare parts for a project they were working on.

Everyone was getting along with Kira, except Nya. Nya wasn't sure what her intentions were with Lloyd, and after Harumi, she didn't want to see her friend get heartbroken again.

"So you're the girl Lloyd won't stop talking about?" Nya said walking up to Kira.

"That's what I've been hearing everyone say." Kira laughed. "You're Nya, Jay's fiancé right?"

"Yes. How did you know that?"

"Jay told me." Kira said. "Congratulations by the way. I can tell how much he cares for you."

"Thanks." Nya said. "Wait, how can you tell?"

"He wouldn't stop talking about how excited he was about the wedding while I was showing him how to repair the sparing bot."

"Well that's Jay for you." Nya said giggling. "Such a talker."

"So I heard you're into building things yourself?" Kira asked.

"Yeah I make most of the vehicles we use for our missions." Nya explained.

"Wow that's amazing." Kira said. "The world needs more girl inventors like you."

"Tell me about it." Nya said.

Nya and Kira kept talking and eventually the two were best friends. Kira even ended up being the maid of honor at Jay and Nya's wedding and Nya was Kira's at her and Lloyd's wedding.

That morning they got up and Lloyd was getting ready to drop Kira off at Jamonikai Village where she wanted to be dropped off. They were on the deck saying goodbye.

"Are you sure you have to leave?" Lloyd asks looking at Kira. "We could use another team member."

"Thanks, but there's still an adventure to be had and treasure to find." Kira replied. "I'm not quite ready to give it up yet."

"Ok, but just be careful ok? I might not be there to bail you out next time." Lloyd smiled.

"Relax, you'll see me again." She smiled.

"How do you know?"

"When destiny calls, we will meet again. But until then..."

Kira took Lloyd's hands and leaned in close to him. They kissed each other and they both smiled.

"I uh..." Lloyd stuttered and blushed.

"See you later greenie." She winked.

Lloyd was speechless and kept smiling and blushing as he watched Kira slide down the Bounty's rope into the village. They shared one last wave as the ship went flying off.

Later, Nya found Lloyd on the deck staring off into space.

"Hey Lloyd." She said walking up to him. "You ok?"

"I'm better than ok, I feel fantastic." He said smiling at the sky.

"You like her don't you?"

"What makes you say that?" Lloyd blushed.

"Just a hunch." She said laughing. "Did you kiss her?"

"Yes... I mean no... I mean..." Lloyd panicked.

"Lloyd it's ok." She smiled. "She seems very nice. Plus after what you know who did to you, she can't possibly be any worse."

"After what she did, I was afraid to try at love again. I don't know what it is about Kira, but I trust her."

"I didn't want to say it, but I trust her too." She smiled. "Now come on, Zane's making dinner."

"Ok." Lloyd said following Nya inside.

*******End of flashback*******

Kira's P.O.V.:

"Do they even know I've returned yet?" I asked Lloyd.

"Oh no, I'm sorry I was so excited I guess I forgot to tell them." Lloyd told me.

"That's ok, now we can tell them together. I can't wait to see them all again." I said excitedly.

"I bet Nya would be excited to you're back." Lloyd said as he handed me his phone. "Do you wanna call her?"

"Ok, but won't it be weird when she picks the phone and hears my voice?"

"No, she'd probably be excited knowing her." Lloyd laughed.

"Ok if you say so."

I looked at his phone and I called Nya. Her voice came through the other side of the phone.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hey." I said hoping she would recognize my voice.

"Wait, Lloyd? Who is this?"

I put the phone on speaker.

"Nya, that's Kira. I found her." Lloyd told her. "Well, more like she found me."

"I don't believe it! Kira?" She questioned.

"Yep. It's me." I said. "How are you doing?"

"Where in Ninjago have you been?!" She exclaimed.

"It's a long story." I laughed. "I'll catch you up later."

"Wow this is the best day ever! I found out my brother's having another kid on the same day my best friend comes back!" Nya said excitedly.

"Wait, WHAT?!" Lloyd screamed. "Kai and Skylor are having another baby?!"

"Oops, I wasn't supposed to tell anyone that." It sounded like she facepalmed. "Oh man Skylor's gonna kill me."

"It's fine, we won't say anything." I assured her. "I'm sure they're going to tell us eventually."

"Yeah. But Skylor wanted to tell the kids first." She explained. "Amber and Blake still don't know yet."

"So it was a boy! I was right!" I exclaimed.

"Oh that's right Skylor was pregnant with Blake before you disappeared." Lloyd reminded me.

"Yeah, I remember." I said.

"Kira, we have to meet up so I can see you." Nya said.

"I would love that! Let's do it tomorrow." I said.

"Ok." Nya said.

Me and Nya kept talking until we agreed to meet up for breakfast tomorrow at a diner she recommended. She told me that Jay and the twins were going too and they she would invite Cole and his daughter. She was also going to see if Kai and his family wanted to go, but she didn't know if Skylor was up for it. And Zane and Pixal already said they were working on one of their inventions tomorrow so I would get to see them another time.

Either way, I was really excited about seeing everyone again and I was really happy to be back. Sure, I loved adventuring, but being with my family and friends was the adventure of a lifetime.
