Lost & Found (Part I)

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

It was morning and I woke up to my son right in front of me, excited about something.

"Hey bud. Good morning." I said.

"Dragon ride Daddy!" He demanded.

"Oh that's right." I said sitting up. "Let me have some breakfast first then I'll take you ok?"

"Ok Daddy." He sighed.

I got up to get some breakfast and my mom was in the kitchen making eggs and bacon.

"Good morning Mom." I said.

"Morning son." She replied. "How are you doing."

"I'm doing ok, I'm just grabbing some breakfast then I'm going to take Ryder for a ride on my dragon. Has he eaten yet?"

"Yep." My mom said giggling. "He told all about how excited he was about it."

"Yeah, he sure loves dragons." I laughed. "Dragon was his first word after all."

My mom deserved some time alone after watching all those kids yesterday, so I was happy to give her a little break. I finished my eggs and bacon and then I was ready to take Ryder out on my dragon.

"Ryder! I'm ready to go." I called for him.

He bolted out in front of me with a big smile on his face.

"You ready bud?" I asked him.

"Let's go!" He said tugging at my arm.

"Ok ok." I turned back to mom. "We'll be back soon Mom."

"Ok, have fun." She yelled back.

Ryder basically dragged me out to the front yard and I formed my dragon and helped him on. I had the reigns and he was sitting in front of me. I wasn't sure where we were going, but Ryder seemed to be having fun anyway.

I took him a few laps around to Ninjago city, then we flew past the dessert, but it wasn't until we flew past the village of Stixx when I thought someone moving in the crowd. Someone familiar. She looked up at me and Ryder and I started to realize who it was:

'Kira?!' I thought.

As soon as she saw me, she ducked into the ally. I tried to fly closer, but I couldn't see her anymore.

"Daddy, I'm getting hungry." Ryder complained.

"Alright, how about we land here and get something to eat?" I suggested.

"Ok." Ryder said.

When we landed I bought me and Ryder some churros and we set down at a table outside. I wasn't sure if I saw Kira or not, but if she was here I was gonna find her, the problem was I had Ryder with me. Stixx was a big and crowded place, I had to keep an eye on him or he might get lost.

I needed to recharge after forming my dragon, so Ryder and I walked around for a bit after we ate. Stixx was a beautiful place filled with lots of cool stuff, but I was focused on two things; Keeping my son safe, and finding Kira.

I remembered where her base was setup in Stixx, but it was in a bad part of town. I didn't want to bring Ryder anywhere that could put him in danger. Not that I couldn't handle anyone that tried to hurt me or my son. Plus Cole, Nya and Jay said that they took care of the threat I was worried about, but I had to be careful to protect my son.

Ryder was the son of the green ninja, so naturally there would be bad people out there who would use him to get something from me. The quest for revenge and jealousy can do crazy things to people, and I know that better than anyone. That's why I tried my best to protect Ryder.

"L-Lloyd?" I heard a familiar voice call me from behind.

I turned around and I couldn't believe who it was.

"Kira?!" My jaw dropped.

"Mommy!" My son screamed and ran up to her.

"Ryder! Oh my, look how big you've gotten!" She said picking him up.

"H-how?!" I stuttered. "Where have you been?"

"I am so so sorry." Kira said. "Long story short, I found that teapot I was looking for, but then an evil djinn came out of it and trapped me inside. I somehow just got out of it all of a sudden, I'm not exactly sure how though."

I remember that she left to find the teapot of Tyran, but other than that I had no idea what she was talking about. To be honest I didn't care. The important thing was that I had my wife back, and my son had his mother back.

"How long was I in there?" She asked.

"You've been missing for three years." I told her.

"Three years?!" She sounded surprised. "That's so weird, I guess I missed a lot."

"What's important is that you're back." I gave her a hug. "I really missed you."

"I missed you guys too." She kissed me on the cheek.

"Gross!" Ryder said.

Me and Kira laughed and then we all flew back to the monastery together on my dragon. I was so happy to have her back as a part of our family again.

Once we arrived back, I took her inside. Ryder and me ran to the kitchen and Kira waiting in the hallway to surprise my mom.

"Grandma! Grandma! Guess what we found?" My son told my mom.

"What did you find?" She replied.

"We found Mommy!" Ryder said very excitedly.

"You, what?" She looked at me.

I opened the kitchen door, revealing Kira standing there. My mom was shocked.

"Kira!" My mom went up and hugged her.

My mom had always treated Kira like a daughter of her own before she disappeared. After all they had a lot in common. They were both adventurous and had a love for historical artifacts.

"Nice to see you again Misako." She said to my mom.

"I could say the same to you." She said. "Where have you been?"

"It's a long story." I said. "We'll tell you in the morning, I think she could use some rest."

"Alright." My mom said. "Well it's nice to have you back Kira."

"It's nice to be back." Kira said.

That rest of the day, Kira and I got reacquainted with each other. I told her all about the other ninja and how their kids were doing and all about how Ryder was growing up.

"Wow, I've really missed a lot." She said. "I'm really sorry about that fight we had before I went to find that stupid teapot. If I knew a djinn would pop out and imprison me in it for three years I never would've gone after it. I'm so sorry I left you and Ryder alone for so long."

"Hey, it's ok." I assured her. "You didn't know that was going to happen. It's not your fault."

"Yeah, but I still left you and our son." She set down on the bed and buried her head in her hands. "I'm a terrible wife and a terrible mother."

"No your not." I set down next to her and put my arm around her. "After 'You Know Who' used me like she did, I was afraid to try at love again, but then I met you. There was something about you that told me you were never going to break my heart. In fact, I think you're the one who fixed it."

"You're just saying that." She giggled.

"I'm the green ninja, I cannot tell a lie." I smiled. "And you were always better at being a parent. Heck, I had to ask my mom to live with us to teach me how to take care of Ryder."

"Well you've been doing a great job."

"Thanks, but it was mostly my mom."

She laughed and nudged me on the shoulder. Then Ryder came into the room.

"M-Mommy?" Ryder stuttered. "Can you tuck me in tonight?"

"I'd be happy to." Kira said with a big smile on her face.

I went to sleep that night and it was the best sleep I've ever had. Kira was next to me once again, my son was happy and I was so happy to finally have my whole family back together again.

Well... Almost my whole family.

>>>>>>>>•••<<<<<<<<

That morning I got up early and Kira was still asleep. I pinched myself to make sure the whole thing wasn't a dream, and it wasn't. So I decided to let her sleep and try my hand at cooking breakfast. I mean my mom did it all the time, so how hard could it be?

And when that horribly failed, I ordered everyone pancakes. At least I tried.

After a while, the food was here. So I set the table soon enough everyone was up. My mom, Kira and Ryder walked into the kitchen and looked the pancakes.

"Son? Did you cook this?" My
mom asked sounding confused.

"Well I tried, but then I ended up ordering everyone food." I admitted. "I'm not the best cook."

"Well it's the thought that counts." Kira said as she kissed me on the cheek. "Thank you."

"Ooo pancakes!" Ryder's eyes lit up as he set down at the table.

"Ryder, what do you say to your father?" Kira said.

"Thank you Daddy." He said with his mouth full.

"You're welcome." I smiled.

It felt amazing to have Kira back. After 3 years I was starting to lose hope of ever finding her again, but today I was proven wrong. My family was finally back together and that to me was the most important thing ever.
