Lloyd's P.O.V.:

Remember when I said that taking in three more kids today would be a nice distraction? Well it was working, but man these kids were a handful. My mom had left for a few minutes to go get some lunch for the kids so I was watching them all by myself for a little bit.

Jax wouldn't stop climbing on things, Lily wouldn't stop chewing on things, Ryder had so much energy so he was running around the monastery and Allison kept trying to get her super strength to work by trying to break things. What did I get myself into?

"Jax get down from there!" I let him down from the shelf he was trying to climb. "Lily don't eat that!" I pried a toy out of her mouth. Then Ryder zoomed passed me. "Ryder Wu no running in the monastery!" Then Allison tried to pick up a shield, but it was too heavy. "Allison put that down."

Then I heard my mom walk through the door.

"Kids, lunch time!" She called from the kitchen.

"Yay!" The kids said.

They dropped everything they were doing and ran into the kitchen to eat the pizza my mom had brought home. I had to take a deep breath and then headed for the kitchen.

"Thanks Mom." I said taking a slice of pizza.

"Thank you Miss. Garmadon." Allison, Jax and Lily said at the same time.

"Thank you Grandma." Ryder said.

"You're welcome kids." My mom smiled.

We continued to eat. Then my mother looked at me, I think she guessed I was still really tired.

"Are they tiring you out yet?" She asked me laughing.

"No way. I have got this all under control." I said before I yawned.

"Are you sure? You look a little warn out." My mom pointed out.

"I'm fine, I got this." I said eating a pizza slice. "I was just hungry that's all."

"Ok, if you're sure." She said.

We continued eating until there was no pizza left. Then the kids went to play again. I went back to watching them and they started going crazy again, but then I had an idea.

"Hey kids, who wants to hear a story?" I suggested.

"Oh yay! My daddy tells the best stories." Ryder gloated to the other kids.

I set down in my uncle's old chair and the kids gathered around me on the floor.

"This is the story of the time Pythor escaped from prison." I began.

"I don't think I've heard that one before." Ryder said. "This should be great."

"As I was saying it was just a normal day in Ninjago..."

Me, Cole, Jay, Nya, Kai and Zane were in the Destiny's Bounty training when we were called by my uncle Wu.

"Ninja! Ninja!" He screamed.

We all ran in to see what was going on.

"What's wrong Master Wu?" I asked.

"I just got a call from Kryptarian Prision." Wu told us. "Pythor has escaped and is on the run."

"Where is he headed?" Kai asked.

"We don't know, but we think he is after some artifacts." Wu answered.

"What would he do with those?" Asked Nya.

"Whatever it is, it can't be good." Cole said.

"Good?" Jay panicked. "OF COURSE ITS NOT GOOD! Remember what happened last time he got a hold of ancient artifacts? You know the giant snake that tried to eat everything and EVERYONE IN IT'S PATH!"

The kids laughed so hard at my Jay impression, especially Lily and Jax.

"Hahaha just like our dad sis." Jax laughed and nudged his sister on the arm.

"Yeah that sounds like something he would say." Laughed Lily.

"I think that big snake was the only thing that likes to eat more than my dad does." Allison laughed.

Pretty soon I was laughing too. Once the laughter died down I continued with the story.

"You guys will have to split up and start looking." Wu instructed. "Kai, Pixal and Zane, you will go to the museum and keep an eye out for Pythor. Lloyd, Nya, Jay and Cole, you will go to the vault in Hiroshi's Labyrinth. That is most likely where he is headed."

"Yes master Wu." We all said at once.

"Go ninja. Go." Wu told us.

"Wait Wu? Like my middle name?" Ryder interrupted.

"Yep. That's where you get it from. Your great uncle Wu." I smiled.

"Cool." He said.

"Anyway..." I Continued.

Me and your parents made our way to Cyrus Borg's weapons vault in Hiroshi's Labyrinth. Once we got there, we heard something wrestling around in the bushes. We all assumed a fighting stance and charged up our powers.

"Was it Pythor?" Ryder asked eagerly.

"Not exactly, just keep listening." I said.

"Awe ok." Ryder said.

"As I was saying..."

"What is that?" Nya asked.

"Cute fluffy bunnies?" Jay suggested as his voice got high.

"Whatever it is, it's coming." Cole warned.

Then someone came out of the bushes, It was Kira.

"I didn't know Mommy was in this story." Ryder said.

"Yep, your mother always had a way of showing up when we needed her most." I smiled.

"Kira!" We all yelled with excitement as we fell back.

"Hey ninja, fancy seeing you here." She said. "What are you guys doing out here?"

"Pythor escaped from Kryptarian Prison and Wu sent us to find him." I told her. "What are you doing here?"

"I was just on my way back from donating a few gems I discovered from Jamanikai Village to the vault here." Kira said. "If you guys need anything I'd be happy to help."

"Of course." I said. "It's nice running into you again."

"I could say the same to you." Kira winked.

"I'd hate to interrupt the love birds, but we still have a snake to find." Cole reminded us.

"Right, we need to stay focused." I agreed. "Come with us Kira, let's go."

"I'm right behind you." She said as she followed us into the vault.

Once we were inside we split up to watch different sectors of the vault. Kai, Pixal and Zane had joined us after they made sure Pythor wasn't at the museum. Jay and Nya took the North wing, Zane and Pixal took the east wing, Cole and Kai teamed up to protect the south, then me and Kira were in charge of the west wing.

"So now what do we do?" Kira asked me.

"We wait. If Pythor's here, we need to be ready." I tried to hand her my sword. "Here take this."

"Thanks but I don't need a sword. My father taught me to be prepared for anything and everything." She explained while pushing the sword away. "You have nothing to worry about."

"Are you sure? You don't know what Pythor's capable of."

"True, but he doesn't know what I'm capable of." She grinned.

"Yeah, but..."

"Don't underestimate me Lloyd."

"I wasn't I was just..."

Just then we heard something fall. We peaked out from our hiding spot and saw Pythor walk into the room. I was about to alert the others when I noticed Kira had already pinned him to the ground.

"How did you...?" I was almost speechless.

"I told you not to underestimate me." She winked.

"Wow. Mom took down a snake?" Ryder asked sounding impressed. "Remind me never to cross her."

"What happened next?" Jax and Lily asked in unison.

"Oh yeah..." I continued

So I called my team and we took Pythor back to prison. Then I met with Kira to go say goodbye.

"Thank you Kira, we couldn't have done it without you." I said.

"It was no problem at all." She replied. "It was nice to see you again."

"And this time nobody passed out." I smiled.

"Yeah." She agreed. "You know this ninja thing is pretty fun. If you ever need me again just let me know."

"It's kinda hard to find you. You live everywhere." I laughed.

"Here's my number." She said handing me a piece of paper.

"Oh uh, thanks."

"Lloyd, I've been thinking." She said.

"About what?"

"About you and me." She took my hands. "I think... I think I like you."

"I like you too Kira." I smiled.

"No, I mean I really like you." She was blushing so much.

"Oh you mean like... like like me?"

"Lloyd."

She turned to me and kissed me.

"EWW!" Ryder, Jax and Allison exclaimed.

"Awe!" Lily said.

All the other kids glared at Lily.

"What? I think it's romantic." Lily shrugged.

"No it's not, it's just embarrassing." Ryder said crossing his arms.

"Sorry son." I giggled.

"So what happened next?" Allison asked.

"Oh that's the best part." I continued.

She was about to wonder off again and I was watching her walk away. That's when Nya came up to me.

"Lloyd, are you ok?" She asked.

I stood there almost speechless, it was in that moment I realized that I was in love with Kira.

"Lloyd, if you love her, go for it." Nya smiled. "Don't let her get away."

I took a second to think, and then I started running after her.

"Kira wait!" I shouted.

She turned around and stopped as she saw me running.

"Lloyd, what are you..."

"There's something I have to tell you." I said finally catching up to her.

"Ok, what is it?" She asked with a smile.

"Kira," I took her hands and took a deep breath. "I think I'm in love with you."

"What?"

"I can't stop thinking about you. Every time I run into you I feel happy, happier than I've ever felt before. When those weapons glowed and I realized I had to fight my own father, when Harumi broke my heart and used me to get something she wanted, all of the pain I've ever been through, when I'm around you it all goes away, like it never happened."

"Lloyd, what are you saying?" She had a big smile on her face.

"What I'm trying to say is that you make me happy and I wanna be this happy forever." I looked at her. "Kira, I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"What did she say? Did she say yes? Oh please tell me she said yes!" Lily eagerly interrupted.

"Of course she said yes." I smiled. "Otherwise Ryder wouldn't be here."

"Ok I think we've heard enough Daddy." Ryder said embarrassed.

I laughed. Then my mom came into the playroom.

"Ok kids, your parents are here to take you home."

"YAY!" The kids yelled as they ran outside.

"Yay Mommy's home!" Ryder screamed as he followed the others outside.

"You coming son?" My mom asked.

"Yep." I said standing up. "Lets go."

I ran outside and saw Jay, Nya, Cole and Kira there.

"Hey kids did you fun with Lloyd?" Jay asked Lily and Jax.

"Yeah Daddy, Mr. Lloyd is awesome." Jax said.

"He told us a great story." Lily smiled.

"Oh did he now?" Kira smiled at me.

"Hey cupcake." Cole said as he picked up Allison. "Did you have fun?"

"Yeah Daddy, Mr. Lloyd is so much fun!" She exclaimed.

"Thanks for watching them Lloyd." Nya said. "We really appreciate it."

"Yeah sorry for not believing in you before." Cole said to me. "I was wrong to think that you couldn't do it."

"It's alright." I assured him. "Anytime."

And with that the kids got on their parents' dragons and headed home. Kira, Ryder, my mom and I went back inside. My mom put Ryder down for a nap and then I got Kira something to eat.

"So how did it go?" She asked me eating her banana.

"It went great once I got them to listen to me." I told her.

"You feeling ok now?" She said.

"Yeah, taking in all those kids was a nice distraction from everything."

"Well I'm glad. I'm really proud of you." She kissed me.

"Thanks." I smiled then I yawned.

"Still tired?" Kira asked. I nodded. "You deserve a break, you should go lie down for a bit."

"What about when Ryder wakes up?" I reminded her.

"Don't worry." My mom walked into the kitchen. "We'll handle it."

"Ok." I said. "But if you need me let me know."

"Don't worry, we got it. Just go get some rest." Kira said. "I love you."

"Alright. I love you too."

We shared a kiss and then I headed to my room and plopped down on my bed. I drifted off to sleep and this time I was much more relaxed. I didn't have any nightmares for the rest of the night. Instead I dreamt of how lucky I was to have family and friends that care about me, and my family was about to get bigger, and I for one couldn't wait till the baby comes.

Kira's P.O.V.:

I'm really glad Lloyd was finally able to get some sleep, but I couldn't help thinking it was my fault he was so stressed all day. I probably shouldn't have told him I was pregnant right after he had that nightmare. That was really bad timing on my part.

"How are you doing Kira?" Misako asked me.

"Oh I'm doing alright thanks." I said. "I'm just glad Lloyd's gonna be ok."

"So did you find out anything about Nadakhan's plans?"

"Not much on Nadakhan, but we did find something else." I frowned.

"You look upset." She noticed. "What is it?"

"I'll tell you later, I don't want to freak anyone out."

"Kira dear, tell me the truth. Is this about Garmadon?"

"I..." I hesitated.

How did she know that? What was gonna happen if she knew about Garmadon? She was his wife at one point, so I didn't know how she was going to take it. Anyway I couldn't do it now, I just couldn't. But then again I didn't warn them about Nadakhan before I left and it cost me three years of my life with Lloyd and my son. With the baby on the way I didn't have room to take any chances. Ugh I hate how I think so much when I'm pregnant!

"Kira?" Misako sounded concerned.

"Ok." I took a deep breath. "We have reason to believe that Garmadon is showing his face around Ninjago once again."

"Garmadon? He's back?"

"Yes." I sighed. "At first I didn't want to tell you because I didn't know how you would take it but then I thought if you didn't know about it then I would be putting you, Lloyd and Ryder in danger along with the new baby and Lloyd's already stressed out enough as it is and I..."

"Kira sweetheart, slow down." Misako stopped me. "It's ok, I'm glad you told me."

"Wait, you're not scared?" I asked.

"Well we knew he was out there somewhere and this was bound to happen sometime."

"I know but it's such poor timing. I mean I just got back, I'm expecting a baby, Lloyd is stressed out from his nightmares..." I took a deep breath. "I'm such an emotional wreck right now, I'm really sorry."

"It's ok, I've been there." She smiled. "Besides, Ryder isn't safer anywhere else than he is right here with you and Lloyd to protect him."

"Thanks." I took a deep breath. "But with the new baby I won't be able to fight if he shows up."

"I've known you a long time, and if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that you would do anything for your family." She put her hand on shoulder. "I have complete faith in you."

"Thanks." I said.

I knew what I was getting into when I married into this family. I knew very well what Garmadon was capable of and that there was always a possibility of him coming back. If that ever happened, I would have a target on my back too being his son's wife and all.

Garmadon was not the man he was before. Under the influence of the Oni and the great devourer he would try anything to get to his four hands on me or my son in order to get to Lloyd. I knew about these risks when I married Lloyd, but that didn't stop me. I loved him and that was a chance I was willing to take to be with him. We were always ready to protect Ryder just in case, but with a baby on the way it would make things more difficult for me to protect him.

Then Lloyd's phone started to ring. I picked it up and it was Zane calling. I knew Lloyd needed to get his rest, so I answered it.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Lloyd, I think your voice changed again." Zane said through the phone.

"Haha no, Zane this is Kira." I was trying not to laugh. "Lloyd is taking a nap right now."

"Oh sorry I didn't recognize your voice." Zane apologized. "It is nice to have you back Kira."

"Thanks, it's nice to be back." I said to him. "So did you want to tell Lloyd something?"

"Oh yes." He said. "I have Lloyd's results that I recovered from the machine."

"What did you find?" I asked trying not to sound worried.

"It's kind of hard to explain. I think it would be better if I told you guys face to face."

"Of course, I would love to see you guys again." I told him. "You guys can come over to the monastery tomorrow for lunch if you like."

"Ok, did Lloyd tell you about our son Alex?"

"He mentioned him before, I can't wait to meet him." I exclaimed.

"Great, we will see you tomorrow." Zane said.

"Ok see you later Zane."

We said our good byes and I hung up the phone.

"Who was that?" Misako asked.

"Oh that was Zane." I told her. "He said he had the results from Lloyd's test and he wanted to come over with Pixal and their son to tell us in person. Is that ok if they come over for lunch tomorrow?"

"Of course." Misako smiled.

"Thanks." I said.

To be honest I didn't know if Nindroids even eat, I guess they can but they don't have to, I don't know. Either way I wanted to thank Zane for trying to help Lloyd with his nightmares, plus I was excited about seeing him and Pixal again and meeting their son Lloyd had told me about.

However I was kind of scared about what the results from Lloyd's test were. What could be so complicated he couldn't tell me over the phone? Why did he want to tell Lloyd and I in person? Good or bad I was going to be there for Lloyd, no matter what was going on. He needed me right now.
