Allison
31 year old Cole was chasing his five year old daughter, Allison, all over the house trying to catch her. She was too fast and Cole couldn't keep up.
"You can't catch me!" Allison teased running away from her father.
"Come back here!" Cole yelled catching his breath. "You need a bath before we go meet Daddy's friends tomorrow."
"You have to catch me first!" Allison said as she kept running.
"Come on Allison! I'm not as young as I used to be." Cole said, now almost completely out of breath. "I wish your mom was here." He said to himself.
"Come on daddy let's play!" Allison screamed bouncing from foot to foot around the house.
"It's not playtime now, it's bath time." Cole said firmly.
"But I don't wanna!" The five year old with a pink streak in her black hair whined.
"Don't you wanna be clean when you meet all my friends tomorrow?" Cole said trying to coax her. "I know that they all have kids of their own around your age. You might make a few friends of your own."
Allison stoped running and turns around towards her Dad with a smile on her face.
"Really?" Allison asked excitedly.
"Yeah. It will be fun." Cole said.
"Is Mommy going to there too?" Allison questioned.
Unfortunately, she asked this question a lot. Her mom, Seleil, hadn't been around much since she was born. She and Cole had only seen her once or twice a year if they were lucky.
"Sorry cupcake, but she's still busy in her village helping your grandpa with rebuilding Nom. But she sent another letter today, I'll read it to you tonight." Cole told her, trying to stay positive.
"It's not the same as Mommy being here herself, but ok." Allison smiled.
"But only if you take a bath." Cole bargained.
"Blackmailed by the black ninja. Well played Dad. Well played." Allison said as she shook her dad's hand and headed for the bathroom.
"She's just like her mother." Cole said to himself as he followed his daughter into the bathroom to give her her bath.
At bedtime that night, Cole read the letter from his wife to Allison, who is in bed listening to her father read it.
"...and I love and miss you both and I hope to see you again soon. With love, Mom/Seliel." Cole read allowed.
"So when is she coming?" Allison asked, as if she didn't already know the answer.
"I don't know cupcake," Cole told her as she petted her long black and pink hair. "She wants to but I'm not sure when she'll get a brake long enough to come see us."
"I understand, I just miss her." Allison frowned.
"I know, I miss her too." Said Cole hugging his daughter.
"Why don't we go live in Nom with mom?" Allison suggested.
Allison was often smart and sassy for her age. Cole was proud she was like this, but at the same time he worried about her being too smart for her own good.
"Because Nom is a long way away from here, and it's my job to protect Ninjago City from any danger." Cole told her.
"Well you haven't done much of that lately." Allison bickered.
"I know things seem pretty quiet right now, but one day evil will rise again, and I have to be ready for it." Cole told her for the millionth time.
"What kind of evil Daddy?" Allison asked with an excited grin on her face.
She was never one to be afraid of danger, she was brave like her father and mother.
"I don't know cupcake, but don't worry, Daddy's not gonna let anything happen to you ok?" Cole said, reassuring her.
"Ok." Allison sighed, disappointedly. "Good night Daddy."
"Good night cupcake." Cole said tucking his daughter into bed and kissing her forehead good night.
