Kira's P.O.V:

One month later...

Lloyd and I were getting married in four days and there was still so much to do before the wedding. I had just been so busy with work and planning the wedding that I was worried that everything wasn't gonna be ready in time. I hadn't slept or eaten very much in the past few days and I was also getting lightheaded a lot and I had a cold that I was hoping would go away by the time of the wedding. I know what you're thinking, but my healing powers don't work on myself, and due to my condition I can barely get them to work period. It was interfering with my job at the hospital too so I really needed to get better and soon.

I was living with Lloyd and Ryder, so we could get a head start on things so I was also in the process of moving all my stuff into the newly rebuilt monastery. It was all very stressful but I knew once the wedding was over, it would be worth it. Then I would get to spend the rest of my life with my two favorite boys in the whole world, Lloyd and Ryder.

I was sitting in the dining room going over the last minute wedding plans. I would usually have my best friend and maid of honor Nya here to help me, but she was so booked with her babysitting service, she didn't have time today. There was still so much work to do before the wedding and so little time.

"Hey Kira." Lloyd walked in on me. "How are you feeling?"

"Better." I lied.

I know I shouldn't lie to my fiancé, but I don't want to worry about me. He was just as worried about the wedding as I was.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Lloyd asked. "I can work on the wedding plans for you if you wanna go lie down for a bit."

"You're too sweet, but I can handle it." I smiled.

"You haven't slept in three days, please get some rest." Lloyd insisted.

"But what if we don't have everything ready by Sunday? What if the caterers don't show up? What if the flowers aren't right? What if..."

"Kira honey calm down." Lloyd cut me off and started massaging my shoulders. "It doesn't matter if things don't go as planned, what's important is that we love each other and that we get to spend the rest of our lives together."

"You're right." I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I know I'm overreacting about this, but I just wanna make sure that everything goes perfectly."

"It will." He kissed me on the cheek. (He knew my sickness wasn't contagious.) "Now come on, it's your day off. You should get some rest."

"Ok you're right." I said as I stood up from the desk.

As I stood up I suddenly got a major headache. I felt my all the strength I had left leave my body and I fainted on the ground...

"Kira? Kira wake up." I heard Lloyd's voice.

"Lloyd?" I said as I sat up.

"Ok, that's it. I need to take you to the hospital." Lloyd insisted.

I didn't want to go to the hospital, but as a nurse myself I knew that it was best so I looked at Lloyd and I nodded. Then he helped me onto his dragon, and after we dropped Ryder off at Lloyd's mother's place, he took me to the hospital.

While there, the doctor was found out that the reason I fainted was because I wasn't eating enough. That made sense because I didn't have time to eat much with work and the wedding and everything else going on. Of course I worked at that hospital so I knew most of the nurses there. They hooked me up to an IV to give me fluids and then I felt a lot better. Now we were just waiting for me to get discharged.

"I'm so glad you're ok." Lloyd said as he smiled.

"Thank you." I said. "I'm sorry I've been so stressed lately."

"That's ok." He said. "I'm going to call my mom and tell them everything's ok."

"Alright." I said.

He left the room and than the doctor came in. She was a friend of mine, Ronnie, so I knew her well.

"Hi Ronnie." I said as she walked in.

"Hey Kira." Ronnie said. "You feeling ok?"

"Yeah I'm feeling fine now." I told her.

"It's not often I see you on the other side of things."

"Yes I know, I've just been stressed about the wedding and everything." I admitted.

"Well it's completely normal for a bride to be that stressed especially considering you have a tiny person growing inside you."

"Wait what did you just say?" My eyes lit up.

"Didn't anybody tell you that you were pregnant?" Ronnie asked.

"Ronnie you better not be messing with me." I warned.

"Nope, you're gonna be a mama." She smiled.

"Are you sure? How can you tell?"

"I have five kids, I can tell." She winked.

Oh my goodness, I couldn't believe it! Don't get me wrong I love Ryder like he was my own son, but this was completely different. I was gonna be an actual mom! And Lloyd was gonna be father again! This was awesome news, but I wasn't sure how Lloyd was gonna take it.

Lloyd walked back into the room. He looked at how excited I was.

"She's free to go home, but just make sure she takes the vitamins we gave her. Oh and congratulations by the way." Ronnie told my fiancé.

"Thank you?" Lloyd was confused.

"She means the wedding honey." I said and Lloyd believed me.

"Oh of course. Thanks." Lloyd corrected himself.

We were walking outside the hospital in the parking lot.

"So we need to get some food in you." Lloyd told me. "There's a sushi place right down the street from here?"

"I don't think that raw fish is what I need right now." Just the thought of sushi was enough to make me throw up in my mouth a little, plus that was not good for the baby. "How about the new buffet that just opened up?"

"Sure that sounds good. I'll tell Ryder and my mom to meet us there."

"Great I'm starving." I said.

Then we met up with Misako and Ryder at the buffet. I got so much food Lloyd was kind of concerned, but he figured I needed to eat after the past few days. Misako however, saw right through me, which made sense because, well. Lloyd exists.

"Are you ok Miss Kira?" Ryder asked.

"I'm feeling much better now, thank you Ryder." I smiled.

"Lloyd told me you were in the hospital." Misako said. "Anything I should know about?"

"It's nothing serious." I assured her. "I was just doing too much at one time and I wasn't taking care of myself like I should have."

"Daddy, can I get ice cream? Please? Please? Please?" Ryder asked Lloyd.

"Sure buddy, but only one scoop ok? You don't need a lot of sugar." Lloyd agreed. "I'll be right back."

Ryder pretty much dragged Lloyd up to the ice cream station. Then I finally got the chance to talk to Misako alone.

"So does he know yet?" Misako looked at my stomach.

"How did you find out?" I wondered.

"A mother always knows." She winked. "Plus you've basically eaten half the buffet and you avoided fish and caffeine."

"Oh right." I smiled. "I was hoping to tell Lloyd first but I am so relieved someone finally knows. I am so nervous about this whole mom thing, I mean I was already nervous about becoming Ryder's mom, but now I'm gonna have my very own child and I'll get to raise him or her as a baby and..."

"Kira breath. Every first time mother feels like that." Misako told me.

"Really?"

"Of course, it's totally normal." Misako said. "And if you have any questions I'm always here to help."

"Thank you." I smiled. It was nice to know I wouldn't go through this alone. Misako was like the mother I never had. "Do you have any advice on how to tell Lloyd?"

"Tell me what?" Lloyd came back to the table, with Ryder licking a chocolate ice cream cone behind him.

"I'll uh... tell you about it later." I stuttered.

"What is it? Did something happen at the hospital?" Lloyd panicked.

"No no it's not that. I'm fine, It's just I wanted to tell you that I... I... I booked the Fold to play at our wedding reception and I wanted it to be a surprise, but you figured it out of course." I chickened out. I couldn't tell him in front of all those people.

"Really? Awesome! My favorite! Thank you." Lloyd kissed me on the cheek.

"Ugh! Brain freeze!" Ryder held his head in pain.

"I told you not to eat it so fast son." Lloyd laughed and so did Ryder.

Once we were all finished, we went back to the monastery. Misako agreed to stay with us a little while longer to help Lloyd watch Ryder. I also invited Nya over to go over more last minute wedding plans, so her kids were hanging out with Ryder too. Although that's not all I wanted to talk to her about.

"Hey Nya I didn't exactly invite you over to go over more wedding plans." I admitted.

"Then why?" She wondered.

"It's just at the hospital I found out something and I'm looking for the right way to tell Lloyd."

"Well what is it?" She asked.

"Ok but you can't tell anybody, especially Lloyd."

"My lips are sealed, what's up?" I could tell by her excitement she knew what I was about to say.

"I'm pregnant." I whispered.

"Oh my gosh! Really?! Yay!" Nya smiled and hugged me. "I'm so happy for you!"

"Thanks, but I don't know how Lloyd's gonna take it." I sighed.

"When I got pregnant with the twins I was worried how Kai was gonna take it too." She said.

"Don't you mean Jay?" I was confused.

"No, I knew Jay would be excited about it cause we had been trying for a while, but Kai is a little overprotective of me." She laughed. "When I told him he nearly exploded."

"Who Jay or Kai?"

"Both." She laughed.

"So what do you think I should do about the baby?"

"Baby?" Lloyd walked in on us.

"You didn't let me finish, I meant about the baby's breath." I corrected myself. "You know, like the flowers?"

"Oh right. Sorry." Lloyd apologized. "For a second there I thought you were having a baby."

"What would you do if she had one?" Nya asked.

"Nya!" I whispered and nudged her on the arm.

"I don't know, but I would probably want to protect him or her and not make the same mistake I did with Ryder." Lloyd sighed. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh just wondering." Nya said trying to act as casual as possible.

Trying being the key word. Lucky for me, Lloyd was terrible at taking hints and didn't suspect a thing. I love him, but he can be so clueless sometimes.

"Anyway, what did you want?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Just checking up on you." Lloyd said. "Need anything?"

"Some snacks would be great." I said.

"Coming right up." He said before leaving the room.

"Few, that was close." I whispered to Nya.

"I hope you're planning on telling him soon because he's gonna find out eventually." Nya said.

"I will, it just wasn't the right time." I said.

"Well I would tell him before the wedding." Nya recommended.

"I know, I will but I'm so nervous. What do I say? How do I say it?"

"I'm sure you'll think of some way to tell him that you're pregnant." Nya assured me.

"WHAT?!" We heard Lloyd scream and a tray of cheese and crackers hit the ground.

"Well I think I'll go check on Lily and Jax." Nya excused herself.

She walked passed Lloyd who was basically frozen in place. I waved my hand in front of his face and he snapped out of it.

"Lloyd? Are you ok?" I asked him.

"I- I- I don't know what to say." His jaw still frozen in place. "Are you really having a baby?"

"I didn't mean for you to hear it that way, but I'm glad you did." I said. "Yes, I'm having a baby."

"Oh no, this is bad. This is very very bad." Lloyd panicked.

"Why? Aren't you excited?" I frowned.

"Of course I am, but if You Know Who finds out that there's another Oni baby, she might come after him or her too. I can't let another one of my kids go through that again. I'm already a terrible father for letting that happen to Ryder, I am not going to let the baby too. This puts you and the baby in danger."

"I didn't think about that." I frowned. "Well what do we do? I want to keep him or her safe."

"I feel the same, but I'm just worried about what might happen." Lloyd sighed. "Maybe we should call off the wedding? I mean we already have the marriage license so it really won't make things any different."

"I really don't want to do that." I frowned. "We've put in all that hard work and it's too late to get a refund on mostly everything."

"You're right." He agreed. "I guess we'll just have to beef up security and make extra sure we don't have any uninvited guests."

"Ok so that solves that problem, but what about when the baby comes?" I panicked. "I don't know anything about being a mom."

"Relax it's ok, we have plenty of time." Lloyd said. "We just have to make sure we have to make sure that no one else finds out about this."

"Why not?" I wondered.

"Because if all of Ninjago knew that the famous green ninja was having a baby, Harumi would have a reason to escape and I can't risk anything happening to Ryder or the baby."

"The only people that know are you, your mother, Nya and some of my friends at the hospital." I told him.

"Good, the less people that know the better."

"I understand, if that's what keeps her or him safe, then it's what we have to do." I sighed. "But you know everyone is gonna find out once the baby is born. How do we keep it a secret then?"

"Hey, we'll figure something out." Lloyd put his arms around me and felt my stomach with his hands. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you, to either of you. I promise."

He kissed me on the cheek and I smiled and leaned into him. I felt like whatever life had in store for us, we would be able to handle it.
