Lloyd's Awake?!
Hey guys so this is just a filler chapter to introduce the ninja and their families. It should still be interesting though. Enjoy the chapter!

Kai's P.O.V.:
I was with my wife and my two kids, Amber and Blake. Amber was six and Blake was three. Amber had red hair and brown eyes just like Skylor's, she acted a lot like her mother too. Then little Blake had red hair too, but other than that he looked just like me. The kids and I were playing outside.
"Come on daddy, do it again." Blake begged.
"Ok stand back." I said.
I shot a little fire ball into the sky and Blake got really excited. He loved it when I did that.
"Daddy can I have a piggy back ride?" Amber asked.
"Of course sweetheart." I smiled as I helped her on my back.
"Yay!" Amber screamed as I took her for a lap around the yard.
Amber and Blake were so great and I considered myself lucky to have them. Without my kids, I wouldn't have a distraction from Lloyd being in the hospital.
Blake was born soon after the incident that landed Lloyd in the hospital for a long time. We almost named him Lloyd but we ended up naming him Blake after Skylor's grandfather. He was an elemental master himself, but Skylor couldn't remember what it was. We were almost sure that Blake was going to inherit my fire powers and that Amber was getting absorption like Skylor, so we may never know.
We had a friend at the hospital named Kira who was the elemental master of healing. She told us that Lloyd would be ok, but he had been in a coma for the last three years. According to the news, a fire was set off in the monastery and Harumi died in the fire.
I felt so bad because I was the only one that knew that Harumi had gotten pregnant right before they got married. I didn't tell anyone else because I assumed their child died in the fire and that would just bum everyone out more. We told him not to trust her, but he didn't believe us. I can't believe the way we ended things five years ago...
**********Flashback**********
We were in the monastery and Lloyd walked into my room.
"Hey Kai I need to talk to you about something." Lloyd said to me.
"Sure what is it?" I asked.
"Well you see, Harumi and I are getting married and I was wondering if you would be my best man?" Lloyd scratched the back of his head.
"Wait, why me?"
"Because you've always been looking out for me and you're like a big brother to me. You've always had my back no matter what, so I figured who better right?"
I had to think about this. I hated the fact that Lloyd was marrying that lying she-devil, and it was already so hard to try to be happy for him. I just didn't want him to get hurt again.
"Lloyd, I'm sorry but I don't think I can do that." I sighed.
"Why?" He asked.
"I don't get why your marrying her! After everything she did to you!" I screamed in his face.
"Kai, I have too."
"But I don't get it. Why do you have to?"
"Because she's pregnant!"
Lloyd covered his mouth and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe it.
"What?" I was in shock.
"It's the right thing to do." Lloyd sighed.
"I'm sorry Lloyd. I had no idea."
"It was a surprise to us too. But don't say anything to the others to the others ok? Rumi says that if people knew about the child of the green ninja, his or her life could be in danger." Lloyd explained.
"Your kid would be in danger anyway if Harumi is their mother." I mumbled under my breath. Unfortunately Lloyd heard me.
"Hey she's trying to change!"
"She's messing with your head!" I yelled. "Open your eyes man!"
"People can change Kai! And if you can't see that than maybe you shouldn't be my best man!" Lloyd started stomping out. "In fact if I were you, I wouldn't even show up the wedding at all."
"Wait Lloyd I..."
Before I could say another word, Lloyd stomped out of the room and left. I was upset that I did that, but it needed to be said.
That was the last thing I remember Lloyd saying to me. We didn't hear anything from him until...
Two years later...
I was sitting on the couch with Skylor and Amber. Skylor was about 8 months pregnant at the time. I got a text from my sister that read 'turn on NGTV news, it's about Lloyd.'
Out of curiosity and a little fear I grabbed the remote and changed the channel. Then I see Gail Gossip standing in front of Ninjago City Hospital. I was scared for his life.
>>>>>>>•••<<<<<<<<
"Good morning Ninjago, I'm Gail Gossip from NGTV News reporting live from Ninjago City Hospital. I've just been given word that the green ninja is in critical condition after a fire at the old monastery once used by the ninja. According to police reports there were no other survivors from the incident. We will keep you updated on the green ninja's condition as the story develops. This is Gail Gossip from NGTV News, and we'll be right back after these messages."
>>>>>>>>>•••<<<<<<<<<
I looked away from the TV and buried my face in my hands. My three year old daughter was on my lap and I didn't want her to see me cry.
"He'll be ok." Skylor put her arm around me.
"What's wrong Dada?" Amber asked.
"I'm fine sweetheart." I smiled, even though I was worried sick about Lloyd.
I just couldn't believe the way I acted when we last spoke. I wondered what became of his child? I assumed the baby died in the fire too, and that made me even more sad. But I had a three year old and a baby coming any day now, I had too much on my plate to worry about that.
******End of Flashback******
Since that day, I've just had this burden on my shoulders. I knew that Lloyd was most likely going to pull through thanks to Kira, but I couldn't believe we ended things like that. I feel like such an idiot.
I was playing with my kids in the backyard when Skylor came running outside holding the phone. She looked overjoyed, the last time she was that happy was when we found out Blake was on the way.
"Kai, you're sister just called." Skylor walked in on me. "It's about Lloyd. He's ok!"
"What? He woke up?!" I exclaimed as I let Amber off my back and she ran to play with Blake.
"Yeah, Nya wants you to call her." She told me.
I called Nya later that day and she told me everything. The thing that hit me the most was what happened to his son Ryder. And to think I could've done something about it but I didn't know Harumi and him had survived the fire. I was hoping that Lloyd didn't remember telling me about his son, but he remembered that Ryder existed so that was a long shot.
According to Nya, Ryder and Lloyd were living on the bounty for now while the monastery was being rebuilt (for the third time) and Harumi was in prison, and hopefully she'd stay there this time. I can't imagine either of my kids going through that situation. Ryder must be really brave.
I was so happy that Lloyd was ok, but I didn't know if he would forgive me or not. Honestly it didn't matter, I was just glad to have my best friend back.
Jay's P.O.V.:
"Jax, don't climb that!" I scolded as I helped my 4 year old son off the shelf he was about to climb.
"You can't catch me Daddy!" His twin sister Lily ran past me.
"Come back here Lily! It's time for your nap!" I said as I chased her down the hallway.
"Fire Daddy! Fire!" I heard Jax scream from the kitchen.
I ran into the kitchen and saw smoke coming out of the oven. I began to panic and started running around the kitchen looking for something to put the fire out. Lucky for us, Nya came home right then and saw me panicking. She used her water powers to put the fire out and then she turned to me with the 'what did you this time?' Look on her face.
'Nice going Jay, Nya left you alone for half a day, and you almost burned down the house. Some father I am.' I thought to myself.
"Hey honey." I smiled awkwardly.
"Mommy!" Both of the twins ran up to her.
"Hey Lily. Hi Jax. You kiddos ok?" Nya said rubbing their heads.
"We're fine thanks to you." Jax hugged Nya.
"Yeah. Thanks Mommy." Lily joined the hug.
"You're welcome kids." Nya smiled. "Why don't you guys go wash up? It looks like we're ordering pizza again."
"Yay!" The kids said and ran into their room.
"So how's Lloyd?" I asked hoping for different news on his condition.
She got this big smile on her face. "He woke up!"
"He did?!" I was shocked. "Really?"
"Yep, he's pretty much fully recovered thanks to Kira. Oh and get this, he has a son."
"What? But that doesn't..."
"It's a long story, I'll catch you up later." Nya cut me off. "Now you wanna tell me what happened?"
"The kids wore me out again." I set down at the table and took a deep breath.
"Well thanks for watching them so I could go visit Lloyd today." She set down across from me.
"Of course, I'm happy to. But to be honest, I don't how you make it look so easy." I laughed and she giggled.
"It's one of my mommy super powers." She joked.
"So why were you gone for so long again?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"Oh yeah, that's a long story." She started. "So Lloyd woke up in the hospital and then..."
I started to zone out as Nya was talking. I know I shouldn't have but I had a lot on my mind. I was trying to hide the fact that yesterday I found out the comic book store I worked at was unexpectedly going out of business so I would have to find another job, again. I didn't make that much at that job anyway, but at least it was enough to support my family. This was the fifth job I've lost this year.
Nya didn't really have a job per se but she usually made money babysitting everyone else's kids while the parents went to work. It was a lot but not enough to carry me, Nya and our twins on it's own. I was wondering what we were going to do.
"...And that's when the giant ham sandwich came out and crushed everyone." Nya finished her story.
"That's nice dear." I said, not realizing what nonsense she said. "Wait what?"
"Jay you're not listening to me. I've been speaking nonsense for the past five minutes trying to get a reaction from you." Nya said.
I shook my head and snapped out of it. "Oh sorry sweetie. I guess I'm just a little distracted."
"Is everything alright?"
"No not really." I sighed. "I lost my job yesterday."
"Wait what happened? Did you get fired?"
"No no it's nothing like that." I assured her. "The stores going out of business because everyone is getting their comic books online these days."
"Well what are we going to do?" I asked. "We were barely making enough before, and now we..."
"Honey it's ok." I calmed her down. "There are plenty of other jobs out there, I can get another one."
"I really think you should reach out to your dad." Nya suggested.
"My Dad who owns a junkyard?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Your birth dad Jay."
"Oh sure, let me go track down my billionaire movie star birth father and say "hello I'm your son you gave up that you obviously didn't care about, give me money please."" I said sarcastically.
"Jay I'm serious, you've been putting it off for way too long. Don't you want some answers as to why they gave you up?"
"Of course I do, but it could take forever just to find him and I don't want to leave you and the kids that long." I lied.
I knew exactly where my father was. He was downtown in Ninjago City filming the next Star Farrer movie, Star Farrer XIII: Revenge of the Imperial Sledge. A famous actor isn't that hard to find. I know I shouldn't have lied to her, but I really didn't want to see my birth father. Plus I don't like asking people for money. I have my pride you know!
"I'm sure it wouldn't take that long to find someone as famous as your dad." Nya said. "Look I'm not saying that you have to ask him for money, but I really think you should go and see him."
"Nothing's going to happen right away so let's just focus on Lloyd being up and about again." I said.
"I appreciate how you always look on the positive side of things, but you don't have to lie to me." She said.
"I'm a terrible father." I buried my face in my hands.
"Jay don't be too hard on yourself."
"No, I AM a terrible father! I can't keep a job, I can't control my own kids, and I almost burned the house down trying to make a lasagna."
I started to slam my head on the table over and over again. Then I heard my twins walk into the room. Lily was the oldest by exactly eight minutes. Lily had hair like Nya's except it was brown, and had her green eyes. Jax looked just like me, minus the black hair, and he had inherited my love for video games.
"Oh no is Dad having one of his nervous break downs again?" I heard Lily say.
"Looks like it to me sis." Jax said following her.
"Kids, don't give your father a hard time." Nya told them.
Then she whispered something to the twins and they both nodded and ran over to me. Lily jumped in my lap and Jax hugged me from behind. I couldn't help but smile. The bright side of my situation was that I would get to home more and help Nya with the twins. Yes, they were both little troublemakers, but they were our little troublemakers and I loved them so much.
"We love you Daddy!" Lily and Jax said at the same time giving me a hug.
"I love you guys too." I smiled and hugged my kids. "You two make my life better everyday."
Cole's P.O.V.:
I was the nephew of the mayor of Edon, the neighboring village to Nom. Most of my mother's side of the family lived over there. There was my Uncle Ethen and his son Dillon, and because Seliel and I were so busy all the time, we barely had any time to be with each other, much less our daughter.
My five year old daughter, Allison, had black hair with a pink streak in it and blue eyes like her mother. We both loved our daughter so much, but we never really got to spend much time with her.
Seliel was basically assistant mayor of Nom working with her dad, and I was basically her assistant, helping her with whatever she needed so she wouldn't be so tired when she got home. I didn't know how hard her job was until I started helping her with it. Now we both usually came home exhausted and that meant even less family time with Allison.
Seliel picked up Allison from my uncle's place and I met them back home. They walked through the door and Allison greeted me with open arms.
"Hey Cupcake!" I said picking her up. "Did you have fun with your great uncle Ethen today?"
"Yes Daddy." She smiled.
"Alright All-Star, it's time to get ready for bed." Seliel said to our daughter.
"Awe man, but I wanna play." Allison frowned.
"Sorry cupcake, but your mom and I have to work in the morning." I told her. "We promise we'll play with you when we get back tomorrow."
"You said the same thing yesterday." She frowned.
"I'll tell you what, go get your pajamas on and I'll be in there in a minute to tell you a bedtime story. Ok?" I bargained.
"Ok." Allison sighed and sadly walked into her bedroom.
"Honey we can't keep doing this." Seliel sighed. "She's so miserable here. She doesn't have any friends her own age and we never have time for her. I feel like we're letting her down."
"I don't like seeing her like this either, but it's not like we can change anything." I frowned. "Your whole life is here, I can't ask you to leave that."
"Cole, I know how much you want to go back to Ninjago City with your friends. I feel like I'm holding you back." She frowned and set down on the couch.
"Hey, you're not holding me back." I sat down next to her. "I love being with you and Allison, and that makes me happier more than anything."
Seliel wiped the tears off her face and leaned into me. She looked exhausted and honestly I was too.
"Why don't you get some rest? I'm gonna be staying up for a little while." I told her. "After I read to Allison I think I'll call Nya and see how Lloyd's doing."
"Alright." She yawned. "Good night, I love you."
"I love you too."
We shared a kiss and then she walked into the bedroom. Then I went and told Allison the story of how I unlocked my true potential. That was always her favorite.
"Daddy, I have a question." Allison said to me.
"What is it cupcake?" I wondered.
"When will I unlock my true potential?" She asked.
"When you embrace what holds you back." I answered.
"What does that mean?" She asked.
"You'll understand it when you're older." I smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "Good night sweetheart, I love you."
"I love you too. Goodnight daddy."
I left the room turning out the light. Then I walked over to the couch and took out my phone to call Nya to see how Lloyd was doing since it was her night to stay with him and Misako.
We had come up with a system to make sure Misako wasn't alone during her son's recovery. We made sure that at least one of us was with her and Lloyd at all times, but with Seliel and I being so far away it was almost never one of us.
I called Nya and when I asked how Lloyd was she said that he had woken up. I couldn't believe it! Kira actually did it! I was so happy my friend was ok. Then she said that Lloyd wanted to invite to us to a surprise party he was throwing for Kira next week. I had only met Kira once, but I wanted to see Lloyd again. I told her I would get back to her because I wasn't sure Seliel and I could get out of work. Then I said goodbye and hung up and I went to bed, but I couldn't sleep.
I really wanted to see Lloyd and all my friends again, but my life is in Nom now. Nya also mentioned that Lloyd had a son around Allison's age that he kept a secret from all of us. He had been raised by Harumi and she had made his life miserable for years. I figured I owed Lloyd this.
The next morning at work, I asked Seliel's dad if we could have a few days off and he was more than happy to let us go. Kai and Skylor even agreed to let us stay with them while we were there. I was really excited about seeing my friends again and finally being able to spend time with my family.
Zane's P.O.V.:
Pixal and I were with our son Alex. We had just built him a few weeks ago so he was still getting used to his systems. We built him out of spare parts and an old power source my father had made for me in case I ever needed it. Since I did not require another power source, we decided to give it to Alex and that was the best decision we've ever made. We loved being parents.
"Father, can we play chess please?" Alex came up to me.
"Of course we can Alex." I smiled.
Me and Alex got out the chessboard and played a few rounds. Yes, Alex was the only one who was able to beat me in chess, but I liked a challenging opponent. It was one of my favorite things to with my son.
"Zane, you might want to see what I've read in the news paper earlier today." Pixal said handing me the paper.
"What is it Dad?" Alex asked.
"The green ninja's full recovery. Harumi behind bars." I read the headlines out loud. "Does this mean Lloyd is awake?"
"Who is Lloyd?" Alex asked.
"He's an old friend of ours from back when we were ninja." Pixal said.
"Oh yes, Lloyd Garmadon. His name is in many of the Ninjago history books." Alex said.
"Very good son." Pixal smiled.
I had my head in the newspaper. I couldn't believe Lloyd was awake, that he had a son, and that Harumi treated him like she did. I was happy my friend was back.
"He would like us all to go to a surprise party for Kira next week." Pixal said.
"Tell him we will be there." I said.
"What is a surprise party?" Alex asked.
"It is a secretly planned celebration for someone who is not told about it until they arrive." I explained. "Wait is everyone coming?"
"Yes the others are invited as well." Pixal answered.
"Would you like to go too?" I asked our son. "Our friends have kids of their own so you might make some friends."
"Sure." Alex agreed.
I couldn't wait to see Lloyd and all my friends again. I was also happy my Alex would be making friends of their own too.

I'm so sorry this took so long and that I got a little lazy at the end, but I needed to introduce the other kids before I went farther with Ryder's story.
Also I'm so sorry I couldn't get the real Generations up this weekend like I planned, I still have to organize the chapter and it just doesn't make sense right now so I'll do what I can and I WILL get it out by Saturday. Thanks.
