Jay hated himself sometimes. Mainly because of his powers.

Yes, electricity was cool, but sometimes it was practically useless.

Earth was useful for when they were on the ground, where if Cole focused enough, he could move mountains.

Ice was useful for when the temperatures were too hot, or they were in extreme cold conditions. He even used his powers to take over a realm, even if he didn't want to do it.

Fire was amazing, as he could control heat, and fire itself. He was basically immune to hot temperatures. Much more useful than me.

Water was just as amazing, allowing her to control nature, and use what's around her to obey her will, and help her in battle.

And energy, that is all of our powers combined, as well as having his own twist on it. Without him, most of Ninjago would be in ruin.

And me? The Lightning Ninja? I had nothing.

The world hated our powers too. I don't blame them. I would if I was in their shoes.

My powers didn't help the team with climate, or control nature. The most I can do is absorb and deflect lightning, which the team has given me the nickname "Lightning Rod." They don't know that name hurts so much for me.

And the lightning? Mainly used for charging or disrupting electrical appliances. I'm basically a walking battery.

I had no use here.

I stood outside of the monastery in the yard, reviewing my notes. I knew that voltage was dangerous, but was nothing without amperage. At around 6amps, it can kill a person dead. And today, that's what I was going to do.

I started charging up my hands, aiming them directly at me. Nya came out and saw what I was doing.

"JAY!!! NO!!!" She screamed.

Too late

The electricity hit Jay with all the force.

Silence

Darkness.

Jay knew he had no place in the world, and nobody could of told him otherwise.
