Griffin's POV

I bent my wings as far inward as I can. No-one can see me like this.

As if being a hybrid made me a freak enough, being a MYTHICAL hybrid doesn't help me at all.

There are three types of hybrids; Normal hybrids, so say, a wolf or a macaw (Wink wink nudge nudge), a mutated hybrid, so someone who is a mix of two different animals, and a mythical hybrid, such as a phoenix, dragon, or gryphon.

Well, that's what I was. A gryphon. Of course, my name is Griffin. Brilliant play on words, eh?

Anyhoo, I have to keep my wings inside of my shirt, and my tail strapped to my leg. It can be painful, certainly. At least I'm not a dragon or ram with horns on my head. Sure as hell, then I'd be screwed.

Y/N's POV

I'm worried about Griffin. He's spent so much time locked up in his room, or trying to hide something. Of course, I love him, so I have to be there for him.

"Griffin...?" I asked as I opened his door.

I was shocked to see Griffin, with eagle wings, a lion's tail, a lion's ears, and some feathers here and there.

"Y-Y/N...you weren't supposed to see me like this..."

I didn't know what to say, so all I could do was stand there mouth agape.

"You don't need to say it, Y/N. I'm a hideous monster, aren't I...?"

I walked up to Griffin. I wrapped my arms around him, and gently kissed his cheek. I held him close.

"Don't ever say you're a monster. Listen, I've met uglier hybrids than you."

"Name a few...it'll make me feel a bit better..."

"Well, there's Karlof...the gorilla can't even speak English properly," I laughed.

Griffin laughed too. He lightly pecked at my lips.

"I love you," I said to him.

"And I love you too, Y/N."
