Plot: We open in the Administration where Arin and Sora infiltrated inside to see if they can find any information about Arin's parents. They figure out that the head of the realm reassignment went missing and all the records were destroyed.
Meanwhile Lloyd is trying to get his visions to show him what he needs to do next. Wyldfyre is trying to train to live up to what Kai would want her to be after he got trapped in Netherspace.
Cinder and Nokt are seen training under Ras.
The administration almost captures Arin and Sora, but Arin uses his smoke bomb to get away. They meet back up with Riyu and they drive their vehicle and find the Matriarch Dragon in very poor condition missing her dragon horns. They get the Kraglings help to feed her the sacred mud and call the other ninja to help, but unfortunately she passes, but not before showing a scroll to Lloyd and warning him about the source dragons being in danger. The hear crying and discover a baby dragon hiding in one of the dragon's nursing pouches. The ninja decide to go find the rest of the mountain dragons and luckily Riyu and dragons know where that is. Unfortunately they are followed by Rapton and the claws, now called the freebooters. With help from the mountain dragons, they defeat them. They meet up with the mountain dragons and promise to find who's behind all this. Then once they return to the monastery, they are greeted by the source dragon of motion. She informs them that two other matriarchs were killed by having their crowns taken and that a source dragon was extinguished before. She also sees the scroll that Lloyd got and tells him that it is a map to the City of Temples, home of the Tournament of the sources. They agree to enter the tournament and get to the bottom of this.

Things I enjoyed:

- Arin and Sora make such a good team!

- I love the way they let the audience know that Jay was missing. But seriously, Ninja fanboy Arin couldn't put the pieces together???!

- Wyldfyre playing boulder golf to cope with Kai being gone. So sweet. 🥹

- That baby dragon is so cute!

- I love Wyldfyre's new look!

- The baby dragon riding on Riyu's back is adorable!

- I didn't like Rapton last season, but now I think his dialogue is quite funny.

- The score is so good!

- The source dragon is so cool!

Things I didn't like:

- The death of the Matriarch was so sad! Wyldfyre roaring with them actually made me cry.

- Riyu shedding tears absolutely broke me!

- Freebooters? You really couldn't think of anything else?
