Kai's POV

Nya and I have been traveling in the forest for almost two hours and I think Nya is getting a bit annoyed

"Kai just admit it, we're lost" She complained 

"We aren't lost, Nya" I told her, "We just need to find one building and we will know where to go"

"Jay could be dead by now cause of your carelessness, or worse" She murmured 

I turned around and stopped my tracks. I was looking directly at Nya and held her shoulders tightly so she wouldn't run away.

"Nya, Jay is safe I promise" I told her, "Are you still mad at me"

"Why are you bringing this up now? We need to find the city and save the others" She said trying to get out of my grasp

"Because you have been giving attitude to me ever since this war started" I yelled at her

"I was mad alright. I'm a teenager and when my brother is telling me crap about what I believe in I get really frustrated" She cried, "I worked hard for my rights to be on this team and to prove that just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't do what boys do"

"I'm sorry" I told her, "I should've watched what was saying and I wasn't using my head"

"What's that over there?" She asked pointing somewhere close to the trees with flowers in it. I looked closer in and then I knew what it was. Lloyd.

"Kai, Nya are you there? We have your friend Jay" I heard Lloyd tease. I crunched down with Nya doing the same. The fear on her face when he said Jay's name caught her by surprise and she is not doing a good job hiding it.

"Well then I guess the poor boy will die" He said

'I can't handle this Kai' Nya whispered with tears falling down her face, 'I can't let him die'

I couldn't take her cries, so I stood up from our little hiding spot and said, "We're right here Lloyd"

"Ah so you finally showed yourself for once, Kai" He said 

"Just let Jay go and you can have me as your prisoner" I told him

"But I asked for both you and Nya" He responded.

I looked back down at Nya with tears still running down her face. I might not get my happy ending, but I want her to at least have one.

"If she just comes with us to pick up Jay and I stay with you guys, would you let her and Jay live" I asked him

"We'll see what the Mayor says" He replied 

I took out my hand towards Nya and she kindly placed her hand in it and stood up. We both walked towards Lloyd with caution just in case he pulled one of his stunts.

"There you go nice and easy" He said calmly, "Lets go see an old friend shall we?"

We walked in a fast pace until we no longer saw green and found the tallest building in the city, The Mayors Building.

"I told you to go the other way" My sister joked 

"Said's the person who is crying over her boyfriend" I shot back

"Well, Well, Well" A tall figure said 

"Mayor Greg?" I asked in confusion

"You two will do anything to save your family don't you?" He asked, "Oh right you didn't have one for over 15 years"

"Where's Jay" Nya hissed 

"Feisty one here eh" He said brushing Nya's cheek and then pulled away, "Follow me and I'll show you where you friend is"

We walked inside the building with Lloyd still behind us and the Mayor in front. We walked into a dark room with only one light bulb and a chair with a blue figure on it.

"Jay" Nya cried

"You two shouldn't be here" He said trying to get out of his chair

"We couldn't just leave you here with them" I told him while glaring at Lloyd

"You don't know what they're planning to do to you two" He replied

"Only one of you will make it out alive today, guess who that will be" Greg smirked

"You said if I took the place for Nya then she and Jay could go home!" I shouted 

"Change of plans" He responded, "take the girl first"

"NO!!" me and Jay shouted as the guards were attacking her.

She fought them back with her water powers, almost drowning a them to death before Lloyd stepped in and knocked her out with a poll. One of the guards picked up the unconscious body and took her out of the room.

I was screaming her name along with Jay. We were freaking out, I need to save her , but I also made a promise to her to save Jay. "Let Jay go please" I asked with a guard pinning me to a wall

"fine, but you better not be playing any tricks mister Smith, we can do anything to anyone at any time" Greg said before leaving me in a cage with two other people.

"Kai?"
