Jay's POV

I can hear screaming from across the bounty, and I wasn't the only one to hear it either. I ran out of my room to see Nya and Cole at the opening way to the lower deck. I walked up there until Nya stopped me from going any further.

"What's going on?" I asked 

"We've been played" She told me

"What do you mean? By who?" I asked once again trying to see what was going on, but was blocked by Cole

"Lloyd" She murmured, "He was still under dark matter and is trying to unlock my brothers inner potential " 

I was able to break out of Nya's grasp and looked over Cole's shoulder to see Kai floating in the air with red flames all around him, "Is that his inner potential?" I asked in a shaky voice

"yes" Cole squeaked

I could hear Kai screaming in pain as the flames got bigger. I looked into the corner of my eye to see Nya with tears forming in her eyes. I walked back over to her and held her in my grasp for comfort.

As the screaming lowered down I turned around to see Kai blacked out on the ground with a horrified look. I could hear Lloyd laughing for success and praising, but was then stopped when a shear of ice was shot at him making him frozen solid.

"Zane! You froze Lloyd!" Cole shouted

"He's not dead Cole. Just well cold" Zane responded

 "What I'm worried about is Kai" Nya said looking back at her brother

I walked over to Kai with Nya following behind me. I kneeled down and shook him, but he didn't budge.

"He is out, we need to bring him somewhere safe" I told the others

"According to my calculations by the time he wakes up he will no longer be Kai Smith, he will be something much worse." Zane informed us

"So what do we do then?" Nya asked in worry

"Tie him up" I said sternly 

"What Jay are you crazy?!" Cole yelled, "Kai is our friend"

"A friend that could kill us at any moment" I told him

"Jay, you expect us to cage my brother?" Nya said 

"I am only doing this so we don't die and that Ninjago will be safe. Besides we don't even know if you will unlock your inner potential" I told her 

"But I do know" She murmured to herself 

"What did you say Nya?" Zane asked 

"I know how they are going to turn me" She told us looking back at Kai

"How" Cole asked 

"I overheard Lloyd in his room earlier and talked about turning Kai by making him mad. And he also said how to turn me as well" She said

"How is he going to turn you Nya" I asked her while grabbing her hand tightly 

"Their goal was to kill you" She cried, "They know how much I care about you and they want to use that against me"

I pulled her in for a hug, "You'll never lose me, I'll make sure of it" I whispered in her ear

"We need to lock these two up and fast"
