Jay has always been someone who has his own quirks.  He's never really been someone who fits in with the crowd.  He knows how to stand out.  There have been people in his life who didn't appreciate those quirks.  Nya was not one of those people.

Nya has always liked Jay for who he is.  She likes what makes him different from other people.  She appreciates his traits that other people consider annoying.  She didn't like it when people didn't appreciate how amazing of a person Jay is and will always be, but he's her Jay.
