I smiled and sighed dreamily, staring at nothing in particular.

"You thinking of Pixal?" Jay said suddenly, snapping me out of my dreamy haze.

"Yes." I said, startled. "How did you know?"

"I can tell." Jay said. "Do you miss her?"

"Well, I don't really miss her, as she is in my mind. I do wish I could interact with her more physically, though." I sighed again, but not very dreamily this time.

"You want to build her a new body, don't you?"

"Yes."

"Well, I think I can help you with that."

"Pixal," I said, "I feel as if you do not feel very comfortable living only in my mind. Don't you sometimes wish that you had a new body?"

Pixal sighed. "Yes," she said. "I do wish to have a new body so I can interact with all of you."

"Well, maybe that can be done."

"What are you planning, Zane?" Pixal smiled.

I frowned at the pieces of metal and wire in front of him. "How am I supposed to make Pixal a new body if I don't even have blueprints?" I wondered aloud.

"I can help you with that!" Jay suddenly popped out of nowhere.

"Well, thank you." I said. "It is very kind of you to offer your help."

Jay looked at the mess of wires and metal on the table in front of me.

"This may take some time."

Jay held up a very detailed blueprint for Pixal's new body.

"Here you are." Jay said. "A very worked on, polished piece of work."

I smiled. Jay was always really proud of his work.

"Thank you, Jay."

"Let's get to work!" Jay grabbed some wires and grinned.

Jay and I worked on Pixal's body for hours, working relentlessly until we were sure everything was perfect. Well, maybe with the exception of Jay's soda break every once in a while.

Eventually, Jay held up our silver masterpiece.

Pixal's new body looked almost exactly like her old one, with her detailed purple marking and her metallic silver hair.

"Here eyes look slightly....lifeless." I said, tracing the purple marks on Pixal's face.

"Not for long." Jay said. "Give me Pixal's drive."

I ejected it and passed it to Jay.

"Here goes." Jay said, and plugged it into Pixal.

For a moment, nothing happened. I looked on, disappointed.

But suddenly, a blue spark of electricity flashed across Pixal's face. She opened her emerald-green eyes and blinked.

"Zane?" she said. "Where am I? I feel...." she moved her arms and legs experimentally. "Different."

"Pixal!" I said, smiling happily. "You're back!"

"Me and Zane built you a new body." Jay explained. He grinned at me. "He knew that you wanted a new one, so he told me and I helped him with it."

"Thank you." Pixal smiled at me. Suddenly, she threw her arms around me and kissed me.

I was a little startled at first, but then I relaxed. I breathed in Pixal's metallic scent, which reminded me of all the times I've spent with her.

Jay smiled. "Just my everyday job, bringin' nindroids back to life and stuff." he tossed a hammer into the air and it made a huge crash, making us all cringe.
