"It's snowing!" Aaron yelled, waving his arms. "Let's go build some snowmen."

"But we have to train." said Clay.

"Oh, bother training." said Aaron. He yanked open the Fortrex door and a huge amount of snow blew in, covering Clay head-to-toe with a layer of white frost.

The others laughed and headed outside, leaving the Abominable Clayman behind.

"Do you want to come too, Ava?" I asked.

Ava shrugged. "Sure."

As we stepped outside, our feet sank into a thick, frosty white carpet, and snowflakes sprinkled the ground like confetti.

I grabbed some snow and molded it into a ball. "Heads up, Ava!" I yelled.

"Hey!" Ava managed to dodge the snowball just as it whizzed past. She laughed and scooped up her own handful of snow.

"Snowball fight!" Aaron yelled.

Soon everyone was chucking and throwing snowballs everywhere, laughing and having a great time.

Then Aaron started shoving Lance, who ended up face first in the snow. "Ow." came Lance's muffled voice.

"Hey, let's make snow angels!" Aaron said. He flopped into the snow and started moving his arms and legs up and down. Macy and Axl followed suit, though Axl looked slightly ridiculous moving up and down in the snow like that.

It was just me and Ava now, watching Aaron, Macy, Axl and Lance make snow angels.

I looked at Ava and a large, intricate snowflake landed in her hair, just like a sparkling white hair accessory.

"You like nice with snow in your hair, Ava. Really pretty." I blushed as I said it.

"That's....nice." Ava blushed too. "Robin?"

"Yeah?"

"You've gone really pink."

"Oh."

"Why?"

"Uhhh......"

Ava looked at me intently.

"Uhhh....because...." I fidgeted.

"Come on, Robin, you can tell me." Ava said. She took my hand. "You can trust me with anything."

"Well, you probably didn't know, but.... I have a crush on you, Ava. You're really pretty, and smart, and I really like you."

"Actually, Robin, it was kinda obvious." Ava grinned. "Lately, whenever you talk to me, you go really pink."

"Oh." I blushed even more.

"But still," Ava continued. "That doesn't mean I don't like you back."

And then she kissed me.

And that made that snowy day warmer.
