"Hey, Cole! I was thinking.... maybe you might want to help me prank the rest of the ninja?" Lacey's emerald green eyes sparkled. 

I smiled at her. For some reason, Lacey's favourite pastime on the weekends was to prank us. I didn't mind, though. Mainly because she was my crush.

 She was funny, brave, crazy... who wouldn't like her?

 "Sure." I said. "What do you have in mind?" 

"I was thinking....putting all of Kai's hair gel into his pillowcase? Or maybe put an airhorn on Jay's doorknob because he was mean about your cooking...."

I grinned. You were really unlucky if you were on the receiving end of one of Lacey's pranks. The good thing was, though, she always had your back if someone was bullying you or being mean to you. 

"Let's get started!" I said. We ran over to Kai's room. 

I pulled tubs and tubs of hair gel out of Kai's cabinets. Lacey giggled as large glops of gel oozed out into Kai's pillowcase. I helped, tipping the slime-like substance out of the tub. 

Eventually, we had a sagging pillowcase full of the oozy hair stuff. I grabbed an elastic band and tied it up.

Lacey and I left Kai's room giggling. We went to Jay's room next. 

"This one is simple." Lacey grinned. She fixed an airhorn to Jay's doorknob with an elastic band. 

We snuck around the place, pouring water on Lloyd's bedsheets and put mayonnaise in Zane's socks.

Eventually, we were done. Lacey and I flopped onto the couch. "Whew! Intense pranking!" she grinned. 

"Yeah." I said. 

Lacey blushed a little. "I had a lot of fun today with you, Cole."

"I did too." 

Lacey nervously twirled her red hair around her finger. "Well, I wanted to tell you something... I... I like you, Cole." 

I looked at her and smiled. "I like you too, Lacey."

I pulled her close and kissed her. 

When we pulled apart, we heard the sound of an airhorn blasting.
