Iris x Clay
Iris Spark Flame is SoundOfDarknessPL's OC. Hope you like it!
"So this is the official list of the people coming to our Knights Academy reunion," Aaron announced. He pulled out a long, rolled up scroll and deftly unrolled it.
"Daniel, Mica, Lucas, Nate, Iris..."
My heart beat a little faster when he said Iris' name.
Iris Spark Flame had been me and Macy's best friend when we were at Knights Academy. She was beautifully exotic, with her rare red eyes, fringe the colour of spun gold and hair like black velvet streaked with brown. I haven't seen her for ages....
After Aaron, Macy, Lance, Axl and I had graduated from the Academy, we lost contact with her. I couldn't wait to see her again. She was so sweet and pretty and energetic and-
"Hello? Planet Abraham Lincoln to Clay Moorington?" Aaron waved a hand in front of my face. "Your face went sort of mushy when I mentioned Iris' name and then you went off into a daydream." he smirked.
"What? No I didn't!" I blushed.
"Yes you did!" Aaron poked me.
"No I didn't! Anyway, we're going to have to get moving to get ready for our reunion party."
"The reunion is today?" Lance gasped, flapping his arms. "Oh no! I'm not ready! I haven't even decided what I'm going to wear yet!" he ran off. Macy rolled her eyes.

The Fortrex was crowded by the time Lance had prettied himself up enough.
I started to look for Iris. I couldn't wait to see her, catch up on the old times. It's been so long.
As I was picking my way through the crowd, a girl bumped into me. Her blonde hair flew as she turned to face me. Her blue eyes danced.
"Clay!"
"Mica!"
Mica was wearing a classic Mica outfit, all over sparkles and different shades of blue. She grinned.
"How are you, Clay? It's been such a long time!"
"I'm good." I said. "Hey, have you seen Iris?"
Mica smirked. "She's talking to Grace." she pointed behind a cluster of people.
"Thanks," I said. "And stop smirking!"
"I won't!" Mica called after me.
Iris's P.O.V
As Grace was chatting to me about the quality of swords, I heard someone call my name.
Loudly.
"Iris!"
That voice struck something in my memory....but I couldn't figure out who the voice belonged to.
My memories of my first few years at Knights Academy were seriously hazy. I could only remember at least the last two years there, and even then some of the events I had forgotten. I couldn't even remember who the people hosting this party were.
"Iris!"
The person called my name again. I turned to see a boy weaving his way towards me. He had spiky chocolate-brown hair and his eyes were the colour of a blue morpho butterfly's wings. His face lit up when he spotted me.
"Iris! Over here! It's me, Clay!"
Clay's P.O.V
"Iris! Over here! It's me, Clay!" I waved at her.
Iris turned around. She smiled when she saw me, but her pretty red eyes were clouded with confusion.
"Oh, hey!" she called. "Clay, am I right?"
I looked at her strangely. "Yeah...."
"Um...." Iris mumbled. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
I gaped at her. "Iris, it's me! Your best friend! Don't you remember?"
"Remember?" she shook her head sadly. "Clay, I can't remember you at all."

Clay's P.O.V
"She doesn't remember me at all." I shake my head sadly. The reunion was long since over and I was sitting in my bedroom talking to myself. "She can't remember me at all."
I closed my eyes, and then something came to me. The sound of a car honking, a horrific crash....the accident Iris' parents died in. My eyes widened.
"Amnesia!" I exclaimed. "Her head.....something must have happened to her head in the crash."
I couldn't believe it....all of Iris' memories sucked away into the portal of the Forgotten. I needed to help her....
I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my contacts. I eventually found Iris', a number I hadn't called in a long time.
I texted her and then waited for a reply.
Iris: Okay, I'll come.

Iris' P.O.V
I took a seat on a wooden bench, observing all the other people in the park. Mothers with babies in prams, teens gossiping with friends....
"Hey, Iris." Clay smiled at me, bringing me back from my reverie.
"Hey, Clay."
"So, Iris," he began. "About your memory. How far back can you remember at Knights Academy?"
"At least two years before I graduated." Iris said sadly. Her golden fringe dipped as she lowered her head slightly.
"Can you remember your parents?"
Iris shook her head.
"Iris, can you remember how your parents died?"
She shook her head again.
"I think I know why you can remember so little. You and your parents.....you were in a car crash. Your parents took the full force of the crash since they were in the front, but you managed to get off with a head injury. It wasn't severe, but it gave you some kind of amnesia...."
Iris nodded. "That sounds right. When I strain my memory, I can remember is a big crash and the honking of a car."
I grinned. I had cracked the case.
"But wait...." Iris squinted. "How do you know this?"
"I was walking by," I said, "And I saw the crash happen."
Iris smiled at me. "I'm glad you did," she said. "Because I wouldn't have been able to figure this out myself. It's funny.....I don't normally forget things." she took my hand and a thrill rushed up my arm. Her red fingerless gloves felt soft. Iris looked at me through her fringe and I felt my face heat up.
"Thank you, Clay."
Apologies for shortishness. Who wants to find out what's next? ;)
