"Hey, Ashito. Is it hot in here or is it just you?"

I rolled my eyes. Kai is such a flirt. It's so annoying. But sometimes, for some crazy reason he makes me blush. I folded my arms. 

"Look, Kai, can you just shoo for a while? Yeesh." 

Kai grinned. "I see you're just not in the mood. Oh well. I'll see you at class, Ashito!" 

Ugh. It's so obvious that Kai likes me. He just never gives up, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. 

Rayanna smirked at me. "Wow, Ash, he's really into you. Why don't you go out with him? Lloyd says he's a pretty nice guy." 

I thought about what she had said in class. Should I go out with him? Maybe. I mean, it's not like I have a crush on him or anything...

Mrs Bingle cut my thoughts off. "Ashito Nightmares, you are going to be paired up with Kai Smith." 

I blushed a little bit - just a little bit - at the mention of Kai's name. Weird. 

Kai moved over to the desk next to me. We sat in silence for a while. "You know....I actually meant it when I said you were hot..." Kai mumbled, his cheeks tinged with pink. 

"You....did?" I blushed too. 

For a few minutes we sat there, silent and blushing until Kai cleared his throat. "What do you want to do for our project?" 

It was strange how after that we just fell into talking, laughing and chatting to each other until the bell rang. 

"Bye, Kai! See you tomorrow!" I waved to him and ran to catch up with my friends.

After that, I couldn't stop thinking about him. His spiky brown hair, chocolate brown eyes.... 

I smiled dreamily.

"Whoa, Ashito is smiling! What are you thinking about?" Rayanna said. 

"Kai." I said absentmindedly. Wait, what? Why was I thinking about him? I don't have a crush on him, do I?

I thought about that hour in class that we spent talking and laughing. Kai had been pretty nice. He even said I was hot.... 

I guess I do like him? 

At the end of the day, Kai came up to me.

"Hey, Ashito. I was wondering.... maybe you can come over to the bounty and we can discuss our project?"

I smiled at him. "Sure." 

I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and walked away, leaving Kai feeling dazed and blushing like mad.

Kai's P.O.V:

"Hey, guys, a friend of mine is coming over today." I told the rest of the ninja. 

"Cool." said Cole. "Who is it?" 

"Ashito Nightmares." 

"Ha!" said Jay. "Kai's got a girlfriend!"

"No I haven't! Well, she kissed me on the cheek, but..."

"Double ha!" said Jay. 

The doorbell rang. 

"We'll leave Kai and his girlfriend alone." Jay smirked, and slinked out of the room. Cole followed suit. 

I took a deep breath and opened the door. 

"Ashito! You look....beautiful." I blushed.

"Thanks." Ashito smiled at me. 

"Come in." I said. 

Ashito's P.O.V:

Wait....did Kai just call me beautiful? No wonder I'm blushing so hard....

"Wait, Kai? Why did you call me beautiful?" I asked. 

Kai blushed. "Because....because you are." 

"I am?" 

Ugh. Major blushing. 

"Of course you are! You're pretty, unique, cool...that's why I like you." Kai suddenly realised what he had just said.

"You....like me?" 

"Yes. I mean no! I mean maybe..."

I cut him off and kissed him.

Just the Jay burst through the door. "Triple ha covered in ha sauce!" 

"Jay!" came Nya's voice.
