Seven months later

Kai's p.o.v

Watching my brother and sister spar against the others, it makes me want to join them. I can't, no matter how hard I want to, I only have fourty-eight percent of movement in my joints. Turning away, I head to the kitchen. Making lunch has become my speciality. They guys come in, I set down some light food, sandwiches and bottle waters. They nod in thanks as Wu and Garmadon walk in, both hold boxes. The new Gi's have come in, the ninja having learned airjitzu. I go to clean up, the guys walking about their new uniforms.

"Kai, can you join us, please." I hear sensei Garmadon ask. Drying my hands, I go into the dinning room. An unopened box is on the table. "Well, open it." Garmadon said. I lift the lid off, a red dragon is seen. "Alright Kai, you got a new gi too." Lloyd says. I smile, half-hearted, sensei's said I would be getting a coat soon, I guess I'll have to wait some more. Lifting the gi, white is seen as well. I grin like a loon as I seen the coat. The guys marvel at the now identified coat. Garmadon grasps it, holding it as I slip my arms through.

The red on the inside and arm guards as well as the neck.

I roll my shoulders, the coat fits perfectly. I turn to the ninja as Wu and Garmadon stand beside me. "Kai came to us, asking to be trained as a sensei. We've been training hem in the mornings for the last seven months. Today, Kai is now y'alls sensei along with us." Wu said. I expect outrage but am shocked when all stand, bowing. "I speak for us all, if anyone deserves the title of sensei, it's my beloved little brother." Cole says, the others nodding.

"And as the newest sensei, how about you lead this training session." Garmadon says. I walk out, grasping a bo staff, it helps to walk. "What would you like us to do, sensei Kai." Lloyd asks. "How about let's fine tune y'alls airjitzu, it could use it." I said, they all nod. As the progresses, the ninja hone their skills. Wu and Garmadon pull me aside "Now that your a sensei, you have to sleep in the room with us." I nod, that's understandable.

Cole and Jay help move my stuff into the room and the three of us turn in.

Wrip creaking, skin sizzling, knife cutting flesh. Chains rattle, screams echoing, sinister leaghing.

Gasping, I bolt up right, sweat covers me. Four arms pull me back, Wu and Garmadon beside me. Tucking my head into Garmadon's chest, I calm down. They lay in my bed with me, all of us, connected by the man who shaped our past. I eventually fall asleep, waking as they get up. Pulling my coat on, I look forward to today's training.

Two years past, Garmadon was killed, Wu lost to time. Now, a group called the Son's of Garmadon want to bring hem back. As the solo sensei, I have plenty of training to keep the ninjas going. But I get a shock one day when my brother brings a group in.

Kai's p.o.v (ninja)

Following this Cole, we come to Wu's room. Cole lightly knocks, alerting Wu as he opens the door. We find neither Wu nor Garmadon, no, someone else. They are in the lotus pose, the essence burning calms us. Cole turns and leaves, we look at this sensei. "Sit, why are you here." He asks, motioning to the mats. I kneel before hem, looking his coat over. I notice the fire dragon symbol on his right breast pocket. This sensei is me.

"We were battling Chen, to..." Lloyd begins. "I know, is Garmadon still alive." Sensei Kai asked, eyes still closed. "Yes, he and uncle are helping rebuild Ninjago. No, Clouse brought us here." Lloyd said. Sensei nods, waving his hand over the sticks, they go out. Grasping the bo staff in his lap, sensei stands, stiffly and painfully. "I suffered seven months at the hands of Chen, even after I gave hem what he wanted, his goons still torchered me. I must warn you, I only have fourty-eight percent of movement in my joints." He says, walking to the door, leaning on the bo staff. Opening said door, we follow as he walks out.

We follow hem back to the deck, Cole and Jay stop sparring to let hem pass and sensei sits on the lift. He motions us to gather and sit.
We do and he leans on the staff a bit. "To know how I'm a sensei here, you must hear my tale. Chen kidnapped me, had me chained in a cell. In a contraption that could pull my lembs apart. He burned, cut, wrooped me to no end. I never got a break. When I would try to slip away, a burn or cut would bring me back. I tried, god I tried to resist. And I did, for all but three days. On the fourth, I gave Chen what he wanted. But, he left me there. The ninja found me seven months later, and brought me back home. Sadly, my brother had to care for me, I slipped into a catatonic state for eight months. Coming out of it, I spent three weeks healing and I asked Wu and Garmadon to train me as a sensei.

"I completed the training two years ago, gaining my sensei coat, but now I'm the sole sensei for the ninja. Garmadon is dead and Wu is lost to time. I do my best, my brother and sister step in to give advice when I need it." Kai explains. Lloyd lifts a hand, Kai nods. "I get that Nya is the sister, who's the brother." He asks. Cole walks up, placing an arm around Kai. "That would be me. Our mother is Rachael and father is Ray Smith. Lue and Maya are our uncle and aunt. Now, Lloyd is back with the realm crystal so we can send y'all home." We get up, bowing to sensei Kai, he dips his head and we leave through the portal.

Sensei Kai's p.o.v

Watching the group leave, I get up. Cole and Zane had just returned with the jade princess. Walking into the bridge, Harumi turns to look at me. I bow in respect to her. "Welcome aboard the beloved Bounty of the ninja. If there's anything that can make this more comfortable, just let me know." I said, extending a hand. She takes it and my fire goes cold for a minute. She can't be trusted. Lloyd hands me the realm crystal, I gather the ninja. "Harumi can't be trusted." I tell them. "Your fire." I nod to Cole. They know, if my fire goes cold around anyone, their not friends. Two days later, I'm walking down the street when Killow and Ultra Voilet corner me. Putting my hands up, I'm taken to the base, locked in a cell with a door. I'm allowed to keep my staff cause it's the only thing that helps me walk. Killow walks to the door, sliding a tray under the door. Eatting it, I slide it back and he walks off. Laying my back, I close my eyes.

A week passes, Zane and Cole had come and gone. I escaped from the base but I lay low. I was right about Harumi, she's going to bring Garmadon back, but not the man I know. While ducking behind a dumpster, hands grab me, Killow lifts me high. He takes me before Harumi, forcing me to stand. One of the bikers go to jab me with a rob, I kick it up and into my hands, leaning on it heavy, my staff lays broken at my feet. Harumi cocks an eyebrow "You know why I'm like this, oh quiet one." I hiss. She walks up, touching my face and I spit fire at her.

Killow shoves me, I fall forward, unable to get up. I'm made to lean against the alter, the rod in my hands. "Sensei." I hear Lloyd's voice. Looking, he's cuffed, held by two bikers. "Just hold on, we'll get free, I know it." I smile at Lloyd, he's always bright in these kinds of situations. Misako and hem are put in cages. Harumi begins the spell. "Strange, I have hair from the son, brother and wife, why is it not working." Harumi says. "Cause you need our other son, he was taken from the hospital at birth, you'll never find hem, not even we knew where he is." Misako growls. I look at Lloyd, his eyes are wide.

"You, red." I look at Harumi. "Where's the second son." She asks. I shrug my shoulders "They told me many things, I'm just know hearing about this second son." I say. Killow jacks me up, I kick my feet. "You know, he looks like the green one but red/brown haired and like Garmadon. Infact...." Killow holds up an old picture of the three. "He's a spitting image of thy Lord." Harumi pulls a strand of my hair. She puts it in and the bowl catches fire. "You, my dear, are the eldest son of the great Lord Garmadon." Harumi says. Killow throws me in with Lloyd, he grabs ahold of me. "Is it true." He asks. "I don't know." Is all I say. The ninja run in, our cage is dunked. Lloyd bangs on the bars, I flinch when a piranha bites my shoulder. Lloyd gasps just as the cage is pulled up, we are pulled out, Lloyd runs to Misako. Zane helps me up, I look at hem. "Scan my DNA. See if I have ties to Garmadon and Misako." I whisper to hem. His eyes glow green, they go wide. "You are the first born of Garmadon and Misako, Lloyd is...." "My biological baby brother. If I'm adopted, why didn't Cole or Nya say anything." I said. Lloyd walks up, he shuffles his feet. Zane smiles, walking off. Pulling Lloyd to me, Misako hugs my other. "Oh son. Your home." Misa..no mom said. Lloyd nuzzles into me, I stroke his hair. Looking to Cole and Nya, I pull away, it's time for answers.
