Cole smiled as he made his way to the music and dance room, sure he hated dance, but there were rumors that there was a new guy, a cute new guy. As he walked into the class room he nodded to the teacher and muttered a quick, "Hey, dad," before swiftly moving to the side of the room to stretch. More and more familiar faces filed into the class room, and murmurs of "where is he?" and "pfft, probably never existed in the first place" met Cole's ear.
Suddenly a happy voice silenced the room,"Sorry I'm late, Mr. Brooke stone, the girl assigned as my guide was sick today and I got lost,"
Cole quickly looked up to see a boy clad in blue by the door.
"Ah, Jay, glad you found your way in the end, you've made better time than some of my regular students, " his dad jokes, a smile gracing his face, "please just join the group,"
Cole felt his face heat up as he stared at the boy, Jay, he is gorgeous. Tousled red brown hair framed his electric blue eyes, and a happy smile is etched in his freckled face. He soon found himself entranced, and just barely caught what his dad was saying.
"One boy will therefore have to dance as a girl today,"
A curse slipped threw Cole's lips as he looked away from Jay, he was always the one forced to do stuff like that. He was chosen since he has the most experience, even tho he was the tallest, most intimidating, guy in the class. But his thoughts came to a screeching halt when Jay spoke up.
"I'll do it," Was all he said, it was all he needed to say to earn laughs and rude remarks from his classmates, "I ruined the balance so I'll fix it."
The serious expression on his face shocked everyone, despite just meeting the boy now none of them thought he would be capable of such seriousness.
"Alright, Jay. So today we'll be starting slow dances, and I've already chosen your partners so no complaining. They are as follows, Cheyenne and Tristan, Sabrina and Toby, Trish and Don, Milly and Paul, Sky and Skyar, and Cole and Jay. These will be your pairs for the next few weeks, no partner switching. Now, everyone get with your partners"
Cole once again felt his heart pound out of control as he walked towards Jay. He froze when he saw the small boy flinch and chose to speak instead, "I'm Cole,"
"J-jay," he says, meeting Cole's eyes cautiously, as if examining them for a threat.
"Well, Jay, thanks," he says, smilling at his new partner.
"For what?" Jay asks, tilting his head slightly to the left, like a confused puppy.
"Offering to dance as a girl. If you hadn't I would've had to, and trust me that gets weird fast, " he says with a chuckle.
"W-what? Why on Earth would you have to dance as a girl! Your taller then literally everyone, even Mr. Brookestone!" The boy on blue exclaims, clearly shocked.
"Heh, it's cuz I have the most experience. I've been dancing for eleven years. Well that or Dad really hates me..." He trails off as Jay begins giggling.
"He's your dad, hahaha, oh boy," this conjured up another blush on Cole's face.
"Y-yeah, s_so what!"
"That is so cute, hahaha, oh my lord," tears were now forming in the corners of Jay's eyes as he stares up at his flustered dance partner.
A sharp voice cut through his happiness like a knife, "Cole, Jay pay attention!"
Jay squeaks and Cole instantly places his hand on Jays waist, earning another surprised squeak.
"Calm down and put your left hand on my shoulder," as Jay moves his hand up to Cole's shoulder he continued, "now give me your hand."
With that Cole entwined his fingers with Jay's. Cole smiled down at the his blushing partner, they fit together perfectly. Slowly they began to move, forward and back. Jay simply following Cole's lead, and stepping on his feet every five or so steps, but who's counting.
