Epilogue

A/N: Aight, so that last chapter;

Morro has been scared straight by Lizz, and the mental city of Stiix she'd built for herself was kind of a visual representation of her mind. So, since the city in her mind was torn to shreds, her mind kind of is too at the moment

If that makes sense

AnyHoE I had no idea how to end this book so have some curse words and poorly written stuff

It's kinda long, so bear with me here

******

Two days later...

"FUCK!"

Lizz shot bolt upright in bed, her breathing laboured after her shout. Looking wildly through the tangled hair in her face, she stiffened up. What the hell happened?!

"Lizz?!"

Her eyes widened, various flickers of memories coming back to her, and her anger boiled before she turned to the source of the voice. Sure enough, it was just as she'd suspected, and she screamed.

Morro detached himself from the wall, ready to do... something, "Lizz! Kid, calm down, it's just me!"

"Ghost!" Lizz was attempting to get out of the bed and run, but something was preventing her from moving, so all she could do was thrash, "Go away!"

"What's going on in there?!" she calmed down slightly at the sound of a familiar voice, but when Cole rounded the corner of the doorway at such a speed that he disappeared when he collided with the door, her screaming got worse.

This had to be some type of nightmare. Or, she died and is surrounded by ghosts.

Why is Cole a ghost?!

Wait... something in her brain clicked a little. A flash of a recent memory, in Yang's monastery... God that was so long ago...

"I think it's wise if you two step outside for a while."

Sensei spoke as if Morro and Cole hadn't already bolted as soon as Lizz started screaming in terror at the sight of them. Slowly, he stepped further into the room, "Lizz, you are alright."

"They were--they're--" she stuttered out, still unable to move from the bed. She struggled a little, tugging on her leg-- or, well... trying to.

"Lizz, before you uncover--" Sensei began, but it was too late; he had to watch as she flipped back the covers and revealed that her legs were through the bed.

She screamed again.

"Lizz!" Sensei moved and sat down on the edge of the bed, "You need to clear your mind before we can explain anything to you."

"How can I clear my mind?!" She shouted, "I'm- I'm a-a-- I'm a ghost!" Her breathing picked up again, blood pounding loud in her ears.

"Lizzie!" Jay was suddenly right behind her, sitting on the other side of the bed, and it spooked her so much more than she already was that he had to duck a default attack, "Woah! It's just me!"

Lizz was shaking, and involuntarily she wanted to shrink into Jay's side; but the fact she was a ghost remained in her head and she refrained; she was dangerous, "Explain. Now. Someone."

"We..." Jay started, "We got the Realm Crystal. Morro was trying to trade Lloyd for it, and with a half-assed plan we kind of did... but at the price of you." As he spoke, Lizz's memories were coming back and she flinched. Jay gave her a sad glance and continued slowly, "You and Morro... left, and we went back to the ship, still with an incomplete team."

"Great... What else?" she muttered, staring at her translucent green legs; thighs, actually. The rest of her legs were under the bed.

"Stiix was where he was trying to summon the Preeminent," Sensei continued, "We met you there, but by then it was essentially too late, and whatever happened after the Preeminent arrived depended on you."

"You must have gotten so angry that," Jay's voice perked up, going from solemn to enthused and excited, "that you unlocked your true potential! Finally! It was so cool!!"

"But," Sensei cut over him, looking Lizz in the eye, "Being possessed by Morro, you also unlocked his as well. The combination of both wind and water at that high of a level created a storm so violent and large that it leveled the city of Stiix."

Lizz's stomach dropped, "The people--"

"Were long evacuated because of the Preeminent," Sensei assured her with a gentle hand on her shoulder, "The ninja went out to find you after everything had calmed. Lloyd was the one who found you, but he found you in such a state--"

"That he was scared of me because I'm a gh--" she choked off and looked back at the wall, blinking back tears. Her own brother; terrified of her.

"He was scared of trying to move you," Sensei finished, "Unlocking two true potentials at the same time not only drained your energy but it also seems to have infused you and Morro to a certain extent."

"As far as Nya can tell," Jay added on gently, "You're only half ghostly. Able to turn it on and off on a whim. And it doesn't make you evil or dangerous, either. It just makes you... you."

"I don't want it," Lizz crossed her arms and frowned.

"Well you have to live with it," Sensei stood up, "You and Cole both. You will join him in his training to control it and come to terms with it. Yours is semi-permanent; he has to live with it always."

Her face fell, "Yes, Sensei." she hadn't really thought of it that way; Cole couldn't turn it off like she -- apparently, anyway -- could.

It still sucked.

For both of them.

"Let's go get some food in you," Jay stood up and offered her his hand, "You've been out for two days, and I'm pretty sure it's been a while since you ate even before then."

"I'm not hungry," Lizz told him, standing up on her own; still, though, she stood in the centre of her bed. She sighed and looked down, cringing before stepping out.

"Well, you're coming along anyway," he slung his arm over her shoulder and gently pulled her along, "You're going to get through this. You're strong and pliable to new situations, and you have the support of the team."

She gave a small nod and took a deep breath, "I suppose..."

"Come," Sensei motioned for them to follow, "There is much to do."

"How is there much to do," Lizz started, "If... the evil entity that was taking over NinjaGo this month has been defeated?"

Sensei sighed and shook his head in amusement, but otherwise said nothing as he stepped out the front door of the monastery. Jay helped Lizz down the front steps, and almost knocked her over when she suddenly stopped and he kept moving, "Lizz, what the hell?"

"Too bright," she hissed, squinting against the light, "Take me to the porch."

"Alright, just keep your eyes closed, I got you," Jay told her, steering her down the steps and around the side of the monastery where the upper story balcony was. Beneath it was their fire pit and a collection of chairs that were currently in the shade of the house, "Alright, sit."

Even though they were in the shade, they were still outside in natural light and Jay could finally see just how awful Lizz looked. Nya had changed Lizz into a pair of pajama shorts and a tank top, which was probably the worst possible outfit she could've chosen; it showed off how thin Lizz had gotten in the last few days. On top of that, she was absolutely coated in bruises, up and down her arms and legs. Her left foot was completely covered in yellows and purples from the broken toes and sprained ankle she'd gotten how many weeks ago.

And with everything that had been going on, they're probably not all healed yet, or even close.

She was sitting with her eyes closed, and Jay could tell she liked it better out here than inside. Her hair was down, snarly and in need of a wash. Even then it didn't cover up how horrid her right arm looked. Blood bruises were beginning to sprout. If Jay remembered correctly, that shoulder had been dislocated -- and then aggressively relocated about twenty minutes later -- and then fractured in three places.

Still, without proper medical attention.

"Jay, I know I'm good looking but can you please stop studying me like I'm some type of lab experiment?"

It was supposed to be a sarcastic quip but Lizz's voice just came out so tired. Slowly, she opened her eyes and gave him a weary look, "Please. I promise you I'm fine."

Jay did a double take; her left eye was green, "Lizz, you're not fine. Stop acting like it, please, and get some help."

She sighed and closed her eyes again, leaning back in the chair so she could tilt her head back, "I'm just tired."

"And you look like you've been tossed off a seven story building," he pointed out, "After we situate your new... situation we're taking you to the city to a doctor."

"Can't you bring a doctor here instead?" she whined.

"That's up to Sensei and Misako," Jay told her, "The main point is getting you healed up again and then getting your... whatever that qualifies as under control."

He trailed off when he heard Sensei in the distance, "You boys need to be gentle. No rushing her for a hug of any sort, understood?"

Right around the corner of the monastery, there was a hefty chorus of yes, Sensei, followed by muffled footsteps.

"Great..." Lizz whispered.

Jay knew better than anyone that her hearing was way better than anyone else's here, so when he heard the crunshing grass round that far corner of the building, he knew she'd heard it way before.

"LIZZ!"

It was a loud, echoing shout in unison from Zane, Kai and Lloyd combined, all three rushing forward in preparation of a bear hug. They all, in turn, skidded to a stop a few feet from where Jay and Lizz sat after Jay gave them all a warning glare. Silently, he nodded towards where Lizz sat, and the boy's faces fell.

This wasn't like any other time a team member was recovering, where they were just a bit beat up but otherwise unharmed. Lizz was seriously injured and each of them could see it, "Lizz, how're you feeling?" Kai asked, flopping down in the chair nearest to her.

The other two followed suit and pulled up the remaining chairs. Slowly, Lizz opened her eyes and sat back up, slowly running a hand through her hair, "I'm alive, aren't I?"

"You are," Zane smiled widely.

"Yeah, and so are we," Lloyd told her, reaching out to pat her shoulder; he paused with it inches from her and lowered his hand back to his lap, "You're the reason we're still alive."

Lizz gave him a flat look, "Quit treating me like I'm made of glass," she told him, but broke into a little grin; one of her bottom teeth was chipped, "I guess we did kinda flatten that freaky Preeminent thing, didn't we?"

"We?" Kai shook his head, "No, that was all you--"

"Not we as in us," she snapped. Snapped as hard as she could with a hoarse voice and no energy, "We as in me and Mo-Mo-..." she took a deep breath and smacked her tongue a little to get rid of her stutter, "Morro."

At that, all eyes turned towards where the boys had come from, watching Morro and Cole hanging awkwardly in the back, almost transparent in the blinding sunlight, "What?" Cole asked.

Lizz motioned them forward with a see-through green hand, "Come on, all of you," she opened her arms up, "Quit acting like I'm made of glass and give me a fucking hug."
