Chapter Six

A/N: Anyone know how to get rid of a little (1) that says I have a new inbox message even though I'm the one that sent said message and no matter what I do it's still there and I hate notifications so all who care about my sanity levels please help me

"COLE!" Lizz looked up, a murderous expression on her face, "I'm gonna kill you!" The anchor reached the end of its chain and Cole helped Kai and Lizz up on deck, only to be immediately tackled by Lizz. She took hold of the front of his shirt and began shaking him, beating his head on the deck. More blood started dripping down his neck, the wound from before reopening.

Kai ran to go speak with Nya while Jay and Zane pulled Lizz off Cole, "Lizz! That's not Lloyd!"

"We saw him!" Lizz's voice cracked and she still struggled to get to the edge of the deck, her limbs thrashing around, "He's still in there! We have to help Lloyd!"

"Lizz!" Cole grabbed her shoulders and shook her, "That's not Lloyd!

The Bounty suddenly began shaking. Lloyd was using his power over the wind to stall them in an attempt to pull them back down to the ground. As The Bounty tilted, Lizz, Jay, Cole and Zane all slid to the back of the ship, ending in a pile on the wall of the living quarters.

After a moment of struggling the ship's main blaster was activated and they broke away, evening out as they flew. Cole, Jay and Zane stood, running inside by Nya. Lizz sat up, not bothering to stand until Sensei Wu went over and offered a hand. She didn't grab it and instead stood on her own, "Sensei-"

"I will explain to everyone," he went inside.

Lizz--with an angry sigh--followed him and went to stand at the back of the group. Jay took a deep breath as Sensei entered, "Spill it, Sensei! What just happened back there and what've they done to my friend?!"

"Yeah, Sensei," Cole was taking a gentler way of asking, "Who was that?"

Sensei Wu sighed, looking at the floorboards, "You four... five... were not my first pupils... There was one before you," he looked up to meet their gazes. There was a collective 'what?' from them all before he continued explaining, "Morro. The Master of Wind."

"Okay," Nya was pointing at the screen and the Ninja all went to gather around her as she began typing away furiously, "Now those lights scare me! We got somethin' on our six! Looks like your Master of Wind... just caught his second wind..."

"Wonderful," Lizz sighed, walking back out onto the deck. It was windy as ever and the sky was even blacker than before. With an angry grunt Lizz grabbed her hair and pulled it back into a messy bundle of hair--not quite a 'messy bun'--but something just to keep it... well, out of her hair, "Damn wind!"

Lightning crackled all around as the boys came back out on deck, completely dressed in their Ninja Gis, "Where is he?" Kai glanced around, spinning in circles.

"If I knew I wouldn't be here," Lizz snapped at him right before spinning into her Spinjitzu. When she slowed to a stop she was standing the exact same way, only in different clothing. Replacing her tea shop uniform was her midnight coloured Ninja Gi. She huffed and pulled her hair back down, pulling it into a low side braid. Then Lizz pulled up her hood, narrowing her eyes at the clouds surrounding them.

"Take your positions!" Sensei yelled, hitting his staff once on the deck outside the steering room.

The Ninja all jumped to the side of the side, piling over one another to get a good look at what was chasing them. An angry cry echoed out over the lightning and winds as a dark green, scaly dragon flew closer, its red eyes burning with aggression. They backed up when the dragon began circling overhead, "Huh," Cole glanced back at them all, "I'll give you this much; that Ninja never quits!"

The dragon spit a ball of fire at the ship and Zane suddenly shouted out, "Portside!"

Nya must've heard him--or seen the fire--because the ship tilted dramatically to avoid the fireball. Lizz almost lost her footing and flew overboard at the sudden movement, but luckily her feet stuck.

Morro did a loop-de-loop on his dragon and bolted right back towards The Bounty, a determined look on his face. Jay and Cole ran towards the middle of the deck and Cole got an idea, "The cannons!"

Jay ran to the nearest one, hopping into the seat before aiming right at the oncoming dragon. The cannon charged up and Jay began shooting, following the dragon with his blasts and missing every single time.

Lizz facepalmed.

Nya tiled the ship to avoid a green fireball and Jay fell from his chair, sliding a ways before the ship evened back out. The convenient spot he stood in allowed him easy access to Sensei, who was now standing on the deck, "Let me get this straight," Jay stood up, "You're just telling us now that you had another pupil before us and that his cursed spirit has possessed Lloyd and also wants to take your staff?!"

Sensei raised his free hand to grip his hat, "Morro won't stop until he gets what he's after. There's a secret message engraved on it. All these years I had no idea."

Jay laughed nervously, "Haha of course! Just another day in NinjaGo!"

All eyes turned to Morro, who was now just taunting them by hovering right in front of The bounty. Cole threw up his hands, "If this is as fast as The Bounty goes, I think we're in for some serious trouble!" he pointed at the retreating figure of Morro.

If 'retreating' was the word for it. He only flew up and then curved around, flying upside down before his dragon disappeared, dropping Morro right on the deck of the ship. He straightened up laughing, two green blades popping out of thin air and into his hands.

Sensei ducked halfway behind Zane, "I need ink. And parchment, to see what's on the staff."

"Kai and I will take you to our quarters," Zane reassure Sensei, "While Lizz, Jay and Cole keep him busy!"

"Awe," Cole's voice was flat, weighed down with sarcasm, "That's very honourable of you to nominate us."

"Yeah," Jay added, "We didn't do so hot last time! Why is it you get off with the easy task?!"

"Because I'm the intelligent one!" Zane shrugged back at them right before ducking below deck.

Lizz rolled her eyes, pulling out her katana. Jay and Cole followed suit, "Let's take this guy!" Jay shouted, leading the cavalry towards Morro.

Morro blocked each of the attacks with ease before sending a kick to the gut to each one of them. Lizz stood up, shaking her head, "Nice to see he doesn't hold back cuz I'm a girl. I hate when people do that..."

Jay and Cole tumbled back a considerable ways more than her, smacking into the mast before jumping back up and rushing Morro again. Lizz followed them, blocking, dodging and dishing out swings just like she'd been trained to do. She'd gotten shoved back by Jay--allowing him to help her up--just as Cole got picked up and tossed to the front of the deck.

Morro had raised his weapons again when they were taken out by a silver chakram that spun through the air, right back into the hands of a red Samurai that stood on the upper deck railing.

Nice one, Nya... Lizz approved, then winced as Morro wheeled around and shot some green lightning at her. Nya thankfully leapt out of the way--landing at the base of the mast--but that meant the lightning hit the steering controls inside the cockpit.

"Oh," Nyz squeaked, "That's not good."

The Bounty began tipping on it's side again, sending the four of them sliding off the side. Jay, Cole, Nya and Lizz were all hanging precariously off the very edge of The Bounty as it plummeted downwards. Apparently, this change of terrain did nothing to deter Morro, as he disappeared below deck with Zane, Kai and Sensei.

"Great," Lizz grunted, "What now?"

"We... try to get the ship evened back out!" Jay yelled.

Lizz and Cole swung out a leg to kick him, "Don't yell!" Cole yelled.

"Well we'll crash if we don't stabilize The Bounty!" Jay shouted back.

Nya swung herself up, using the rockets as steps as she jumped towards the control center. That left Jay, Lizz and Cole to figure out how to do what she just did without falling to their doom.

It took a little bit of jumping and tossing one another and waiting for the ship to even--which it did, but they were still headed straight for a mountain's peak--but soon they were right by Nya's side, "Are you aiming for that mountain?!" Jay asked, flailing his arms around.

"Trying to rise above it!" Nya snapped, putting all her weight on pulling down the steering wheel of the ship in an attempt to pull the ship back up, "A little help!"

Lizz, Jay and Cole all grabbed onto the wheel, yanking on it as much as Nya was. After a moment of pulling and screaming Nya ran away, back behind them somewhere, "Nya!" Lizz shouted, "What the hell?!"

Well, whatever she did made the rocket boosters flip back on and send them going parallel with the mountain and straight up into the air. They were all still pulling on the wheel, but the sheer force of gravity pulled Lizz's fingers away and had her falling in almost slow motion towards the back window.

In the middle of the room, suspended in mid-air, Lizz suddenly changed directions and smacked into the front window with Nya, Jay and Cole. They all grunted, sliding to the floor. Lizz stood up, shaking her head to clear it as she helped up the others, "Alright, anyone hurt?"

"My face-" Jay started, holding up a hand.

"No time!" Lizz shouted, putting her hand over Jay's face to silence him, "We need to help the others with that Morro dude--now," she jumped towards the door, then turned around with an uneasy look on her face, "Nya-"

"The autopilot is fried," Nya told her, brushing off her Samurai X uniform, "I'm not goin' anywhere for right now."

Lizz gave a slight nod, "Sorry for leavin' you stuck here."

"She'll do her job," Cole cut in, shoving Lizz out the door, "We'll do ours. Get goin', Lizz."

"One," Lizz moved out of his way, "Do not shove me ever again, because since you don't have your Elemental powers I'm almost positive I'm stronger than you. Two, screw off, Cole. I'm having a bit of a rough day and I don't like being bossed around to begin with," she jumped over the railing. She hit the deck and went right into a roll forward before jumping down the steps below deck.

The first thing Lizz noticed was that it was windier down below deck than it was above deck, which--under any other circumstances--she'd have thought very strange. However, since there was an Elemental Wind Master and a huge-ass gaping hole on this level, one would expect it to be a bit breezy, "Kai!" Lizz's voice came out half yell and half groan. The Fire Master was dangling out the hole in the wall, barely holding on by one hand as Morro aimed a steady airflow at him, laughing the entire time.

Lizz stepped back to go to Zane's aid, prying him out of a pile of wooden storage boxes just as Sensei Wu ran past, headed straight for Morro, "You want the staff?!" he raised it above his head, "Take it!"

Sensei released the staff and the vacuum-like airflow being created by the hole in the ship pulled it right past Morro and out into the nighttime air. Kai stupidly tried grabbing the staff as it flew by, and as a result began falling to his doom because his other hand's grip slipped from the splintering wood.

It was lucky that Zane was as fast as he was, "Gotch'ya," he grunted, pulling Kai back to safety.

"Sensei," Kai began, "Why did you- Whoa... whoa!"

The ship began quivering right before the entire frame jolted, sending Wu, Lizz, Kai and Zane into the wall Lizz had pulled Zane off of just moments before. A little bit later The Bounty stopped moving altogether and from somewhere inside Cole's voice echoed out, "Okay... let's never do that again."

Kai helped the other three standing up and him and Zane went to examine the new doorway in the wall. Lizz slid back to the floor under the staircase, watching as Nya, Cole and Jay ran over to Kai and Zane, "Just think," Jay's sigh was relieved, "If Sensei hadn't gotten rid of the staff, it coulda been worse."

Cole was sliding down the slightly tilted floor, "But now we don't know the message!"

Sensei slowed to a stop right behind Cole, "No exactly. I managed to make an imprint," he led the way to Zane and Kai's room.
