It was the day before the wedding and the ninja were getting ready for the rehearsal dinner. Britney was worried about the rehearsal dinner because her parents were coming. She had not seen her parents for years, since they kicked her out of the house after she had gotten pregnant. They had never met Lloyd or Max and she hoped that the meeting would go well.

They had checked into a hotel for the wedding. After the rehearsal dinner, all the girls were going to go into the room that Jay, Nya, and their kids have and all the guys were going into the room that Lloyd, Britney, and Max have. The kids were all going with their respective grandparents for the night.

"You ready?" Lloyd asked. Him and Max were standing by the door, ready to go.

"Yeah," Britney said nervously.

They walked out and met the others and their kids in the lobby.

"Well, there's the other bride and groom," Kai said.

"Sorry we're late," Lloyd said.

"Don't worry about it," Jay said. "We kind of just got down here a couple of minutes ago." He gestured to himself, Nya, and their kids.

"Yeah," Cole started. "You guys aren't very punctual for your own rehearsal dinner."

"We're all here now," Nya said. "Let's go."

They walked over to where their rehearsal dinner was and everybody else was already there.

Jay, Nya, Justin, and Alex walked over to Ed, Edna, Ray, and Maya.

"Hi," Nya said.

"There's our grandkids, daughter, and about to be son-in-law," Maya said with a smile.

"Sorry this wedding is five years late," Jay said.

"Well, the circumstance was unavoidable."

"Jay, how are you feeling?" Edna asked as she started smothering her son.

"I'm fine, mom," Jay said annoyed.

"Enda dear, I'm sure if anything, Nya has been making sure he's ok," Ed said.

"Don't worry," Nya started. "I have been keeping my eyes on him."

Ray shook hands with Jay. "You better treat my daughter right," Ray said.

"I will," Jay said.

Britney found her parents and walked up to them with Lloyd and Max.

"Hi mom, dad," Britney said. She gestured to her about to be husband and son. "This is Lloyd and Max."

"It's nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Ly," Lloyd said.

"Hello Lloyd," Mrs. Ly said a little coldly.

Britney noticed. "What was that mom?"

"What do you mean?"

"I know you and the way you just said hello to Lloyd is the way you say it when you don't like somebody."

"We just don't understand why out of all people, you are marrying him," Mr. Ly said.

"I love him!"

"How could you love an elemental master?!" Mrs. Ly said. "Elemental masters are freaks! Their power is dangerous! They shouldn't be allowed to walk around like everybody else!"

Lloyd looked down. He couldn't believe what Britney's parents were saying. 'Is that what some people actually believe?' he thought. He didn't say anything.

Britney had enough. "How dare you?! Lloyd is a great guy! He is not a freak! By calling elemental masters freaks, you are also calling our son a freak! He inherited Lloyd's power!"

"Then he is!" Mrs. Ly exclaimed.

"Elemental masters are not like us normal people," Mr. Ly chimed in.

"Normal people?!" Britney's anger was rising. "What's so great about being normal?!"

"Listen Britney, by marrying Lloyd, you are betraying the family."

"Betraying the family?! I don't even care anymore! I was trying to be nice and let you guys back into my life, but I don't need you! I've found a new family!" Britney grabbed Lloyd's hand and Max was holding tightly onto Lloyd because he didn't like hearing the conversation that was going on. They turned to start to walk away, but before they did, Britney gave an angry glare to her parents. "Don't even bother coming to the wedding tomorrow." They then proceeded to walk away.

They walked over to the table that the others were at.

Lloyd noticed the kids table and thought that Max should go be with his friends. "Hey Max, why don't you go over to your friends," Lloyd suggested.

"Ok daddy," Max said and went over to the kids table. He immediately started talking to Justin and Alex.

Lloyd watched his son for a minute before turning his attention to Britney. "You ok?" he asked.

"I'll be fine," Britney said while choking back tears. "I'll be right back. I'm going to the restroom."

Everyone watched Britney leave and knew that something happened. "I'll go talk to her," Nya offered as she got up.

"Thanks Nya," Lloyd said.

"We'll go too," Skylor said as her, PIXAL, and Seliel got up too.

The girls went after Britney and Lloyd sat down at the table. Lloyd looked upset about whatever happened and the guys noticed.

"Lloyd, what happened?" Kai asked.

"It was just...Britney's parents," Lloyd said.

"What is it?" Cole asked. "Are you going to have in-law issues?"

Lloyd was quiet for a minute before deciding to talk.  "Are we freaks? Are we dangerous because of our powers?"

Everyone was shocked by what Lloyd asked. They were obviously not expecting that.

"Well, we're dangerous to villains," Jay joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"What did they say to you?" Kai asked angrily.

"They said that elemental masters are freaks, that we're dangerous, and that we shouldn't be able to walk around like everybody else. I couldn't help but think if that's the way that some people think of us."

"There are most likely people who do view us that way," Zane said.

"Not helping Zane," Cole said.

"Look, there will always be people who don't like us, but there are still a lot of people who do," Jay said. "Everybody has haters."

"Jay is right. You can't focus on what the haters think."

"Britney got angry with the way that her parents called me and Max freaks. She defended us and then her parents told her that she was 'betraying the family'." The other guys gasped. "She told them not to come to the wedding tomorrow."

"That's too bad."

"She deserves better parents than that," Jay said.

"Who's going to walk her down the aisle?" Kai asked.

"I don't know," Lloyd sighed. "She wanted her dad to do it originally, but now she univited her parents, so I don't know."

Little did they know that Wu had been listening to the entire coversation.

In the restroom, the girls found Britney crying over a sink.

"What happened?" Nya asked concerned, rubbing comforting circles on her back.

"I should've never invited my parents," Britney said sobbing.

"I'm guessing them meeting Lloyd and Max didn't go so well," Skylor said.

"I didn't know how they felt about elemental masters until now." Britney paused. "They think that elemental masters are freaks. They called Lloyd and Max freaks!"

"It will be ok Britney," PIXAL said.

"I told them not to come to the wedding."

"What they said was not cool," Seliel said. "I mean, I'm not an elemental master and I have helped to save people with elemental masters. I even married one. Having special powers doesn't make someone a freak. They are fools for thinking that."

"You love Lloyd, don't you?" Nya asked.

"I do," Britney said. "And I don't care what my parents think."

"Don't give them the satisfaction of getting super upset about what they said."

"You're right, but now I don't have anyone to walk me down the aisle."

"We'll think of something."

The girls walked out of the restroom after Britney had calmed down and ran into Wu.

"Master Wu!" Nya said. "Didn't expect to run into you."

"This is a party for the wedding that I was invited to," Wu replied. "I would actually like to talk to Britney."

Nya, Skylor, PIXAL, and Seliel left Wu and Britney to talk.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" Britney asked.

"I heard what happened with your parents and I'm sorry for the way they treated you," Wu said.

"I just got to see their true colors."

"I also heard that you told them not to come to the wedding."

"I did."

"I would like to offer to be your escort down the aisle."

Britney looked up at him surprised. "What?"

"You have been with us for a while now and you're about to marry my nephew. You are already family, so if you'll let me, I would like to walk you down the aisle."

Britney smiled at him. "Thank you." Wu and Britney hugged and went back to the others to make the most out of the rest of the rehearsal dinner.
