Lloyd woke up to see Britney watching over him. Britney beamed when she saw her boyfriend and the father of her child awake. For a second, he forgot that he was in the hospital. "Morning," she said to him.

"Morning," he said back.

"How are you feeling?"

"A little better."

"I'm just glad you're back." Britney hugged Lloyd.

When they released from the hug, Lloyd looked over to see Jay asleep with Nya playing with his hair. A frown came onto Lloyd's face.

"What's wrong?" Britney asked concerned.

"It's just that...while we were, you know..." Lloyd paused for a minute. "I feel like I was a bad friend during that time."

Nya looked up at Lloyd, having heard what he just said. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"After battles or after we were beaten or tortured, Jay would always look over my injuries and then tell me to rest. I didn't really think to look over his injuries...and then I found out that he had been looking over his own injuries while I was resting all that time."

"Lloyd, you are like an honorary little brother to all of us and Jay...Jay would put any of us above himself. That's just how much he cares. When he was captured by Nadakhan, he didn't give in because he wanted to protect us. It's just the person he is. Don't feel too bad."

"In the arena, he would also take hits for me-"

Lloyd was cut off by Nya. "If it means protecting his friends, Jay will take hits for us. It's not your fault. Don't think it's your fault. Don't think that you're a bad friend because of it. I'm sure Jay doesn't think that."

Lloyd looked away from Nya, still not totally convinced. Britney gave him a smile and squeezed his hand. "You know, I missed you everyday," she told him.

"I missed you too," Lloyd said and they shared a passionate kiss.

"Awww," Nya said. She noticed Jay move as he woke up. "Morning." She beamed at him.

"Morning," Jay said.

"How are you doing?"

"I'm ok, now that I'm back with you." Jay and Nya hugged.

The door opened and the others walked in with all the kids. "DADDY!!!" Alex yelled as she ran up to her father, Jay.

"Hey sweety."

Alex climbed onto the bed next to Jay to be closer to him and Nya was going to stop her, but Jay gave her a look that said, 'it's ok.'

Justin and Max looked at each other and laughed a little at what Alex did. Both boys were holding bags in their hands and walked up to their respective fathers.

"What do you have there?" Lloyd asked Max.

"Breakfast for you," Max said and handed the bag to Lloyd.

"And I have breakfast for you," Justin said and handed his bag to Jay.

"Thank you," Jay said to his son. Jay and Lloyd took the food out and started eating it.

"We stopped on the way here," Kai said, making everybody turn to him. "We know how bad hospital food is. The doctors are allowing us to bring you guys food because they just want to make sure you guys eat."

Lloyd looked at Cole and Kai. "I don't think we properly thanked you guys for saving us."

"You don't need to," Cole said. "You would've done the same for us."

Jay turned his attention to his daughter. "How are you?"

"I'm good," she said as she snuggled up to her father. She was just so happy to be able to have her father around again.

Everyone thought that it was so cute how Alex was being with her father. Skylor even took out her phone to take a picture of the father and daughter.

Zane grabbed the remote for the TV and turned it on to see the news.

"Yesterday, the NCPD arrested the man who was responsible for two of the ninja going missing five years ago. Sources say that two of the other ninja, Cole and Kai, had managed to find them and rescue them, but they had also gave the location to the police who arrived shortly afterwards to arrest the man and his crew. There is no word yet on his identity or a motive."

Zane quickly turned off the TV out of concern for what Jay and Lloyd could be feeling about what happened. "I'm sorry," Zane apologized. "That was a bad idea."

"Don't apologize," Jay said while looking at his daughter who had looked away while hearing the news report.

"It's going to be the main story in the news for a while," Lloyd added with a frown appearing on his face.

Kai walked over to Lloyd. "If either of you don't want to talk about or hear something, just tell us," Kai said. "We're your friends and we're not going to push you."

"Also, if you guys want to talk about anything, any of us would be willing to listen," Cole said.

"Thanks guys," Lloyd said with a smile spreading across his face.

Jay noticed Justin was staying close to Nya. "Hey Justin, come here," Jay said. Jay opened his arms for a hug for Justin which he happy dives into. He had been trying to be strong for his sister that he didn't realize how much he actually wanted his dad around too.

Max noticed how happy his friends were to have their dad back and looked at his dad, Lloyd, who opened his arms to hug Max and Max was more than willing to hug his father. The two families were happily reunited. Everyone knew that it will take time before Jay and Lloyd were healed both physically and mentally, but they would all be there for them...on the road to recovery.
