CHEATER
Hermione's POV
As I walked happily towards the house that Ron and I share, joy ricocheted through my veins. I had been hired to be the Potions assistant at Hogwarts. Then as I unlocked the beautiful door, I immediately felt something- off.
A sickening feeling stabbed me in my gut as I opened the door into our room. Then I saw it. My beloved husband leaning, satisfied, against the wall as Lavender Brown sucked him off. Obviously this was an everyday thing for them. Whimpering slightly, I angrily banged my hand against the wooden door.
His head snapped towards me, and his eyes widened in shock. Ron grabbed Lavender's head, pulling her away. She gaped, horrified, at me. "What are you doing in Won-Won's house, Granger?!!!"
That cheater didn't tell her? He really didn't tell her?!!! "I happen to be his now ex-wife, Brown. And did he introduce you to our daughter Rose?!"
I snapped, throwing our cheap wedding ring to the floor. "I will ask Wizengamot to sever the marriage bond tomorrow, you asshole!!! Brown, I wouldn't trust him. Dump him while you can." I yelled, storming out. And then reality hit me. I'm so horrible that Ron cheated on me with that clingy bitch.
Stinging tears sprung to my eyes, and I apparated to Hog's Head. Drink after drink was poured into my crystal glass, when I saw a familiar face, one I hadn't seen in nineteen years.
Long dark hair framed a face with eyes as black as night. In a voice so elegant it was almost a purr,"Granger?" Was the last thing I heard before passing out on the bar.
Severus's POV
Rushing forward, I caught Granger as she fell onto the cold bar. "I'll take care of her Aberforth." I glanced up into the piercing blue eyes so similar to those that haunt my nightmares. Albus basically condemned me his last night. I almost died.
But Granger saved me. She had found a rare cure to Nagini's venom, therefore she saved my life. Granger found me on the borderline of life and death in the Shrieking Shack, and she injected the cure into my blood. Now I have to save her.
A tight smile came acoss Aberforth's face, and he motioned me out. "How much did you drink Granger?!!!" I muttered as I forced a pepper-up potion down her throat. Her eyes fluttered open, and she groaned in sorrow.
Bile rose up in her throat, and she vomited over the cobblestone walkway. "Twenty three. My now ex-husband Weasel cheated on me, and-" She's really sick. Waving my wand, I noticed something.
She was pregnant. I immediately felt a surge of empathy for the girl, and I decided that formalities were unnecessary. "Hermione, I have to tell you something. I did a scan and there was another lifeform in your abdomen. You're pregnant Mia. It's his, as far as I know."
I winced after the sentence, due to the look of horror on her face. "I saw a spell where you can change the child to be someone else's. Please, Severus. I need you to help me. It's-" I know this. I created this. "Falsend Amour. I created that spell, Mia."
A strange look spread across her face. "Please, Sev. I need someone other than that bastard to be the father. You'd actually care. You don't have to love me back, but I need a kind, smart, brave, loyal father for my child. I don't want to kill it. But I don't want it to be Weasel's baby."
She ranted. Hermione loves me? Smiling gently, I pulled her closer. "Falsend Amour." I whispered, casting the spell. Mia's eyes shone with wonder as I delicately caressed her smooth cheek.
"You aren't the only one with strange, inexplicable feelings of affection, Mione. I think that I have been subconsciously waiting for this ever since I saw you that first day of Hogwarts. And I wouldn't leave you alone with the child. Yes, this is a proposal."
I grabbed a strand of her hair and braided it with a strand of mine. Smiling, I transfigured it into a silver replica, except shaped to perfectly fit her finger. "Hermione Jean Granger, will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my beloved wife?"
Mia's face grew ecstatic as she nodded enthusiastically."Yes, Sev. I will marry you. I think, deep down, I always wanted to. My mind just drowned it out with a petty adolescent crush." Tears streamed down her face as she pressed her lips to mine.
Blazing fireworks seemed to explode in my gut as I realized I finally had a family. And after all this time, I finally had my first real kiss. As we reluctantly parted from the tender kiss, I noticed tears pouring down Mia's face, but a small grin danced on her lips.
"Hey Sev." She whispered in a singsong voice. "What about your ring?" An evil smirk replaced her innocent grin as she pulled out one of my hairs. Instantaneously, a puzzled look came over her face.
"What's wrong, Mia?" Did I hurt her somehow? "It's so soft..." She murmured, reaching out and petting my hair. Indignation would have been my typical response, but instead I let Mia have her way. She then pulled her hand back, and severed a golden lock of hair from her scalp.
Intertwining the two hairs, she made it so that my hair was an emerald band, wrapped around hers, a shimmering diamond. "This way nobody will question your house pride. And it fits us, don't you think?" A gargantuan smile came across my face as we both slid our rings onto each others fingers.
"Oh, and Sev. I'm the Potions assistant this year. Could I live in your quarters with you?" I froze as I remembered. Minerva told me yesterday. "Of course Mia. I wouldn't want you anywhere else."
"Fuck." Mia jerked up. "I forgot to tell you. We have to do that spell again. I have a daughter. Rose. She goes to Hogwarts this year." Her unspoken words were conveyed loud and clear. 'Does the spell work on eleven year olds?'
Hermione's POV
"Yes. We can do it tonight, Mia. Let's go get your daughter back." Relief flooded my mind as I learned that Rose could be a Snape instead of a Weasley. "Could we please change her name to Eileen, Sev? I don't want any reminder of Weasel." I know that Eileen was his mum. He might like that.
"Okay." His eyes teared up as he remembered. That much was obvious. I didn't know the exact memory he thought of. But it was something deeply emotional. I hugged him close, trying to relieve his pain. Then, I saw them. Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter. Walking hand-in-hand towards us.
I could tell that they didn't see us. So I gently poked Sev's shoulder, and he turned around. Eyes wide, we quietly strode closer. Suddenly I spoke up. "Hey Harry. Hi Draco." They spun around like startled kittens, and then saw us.
Draco's POV
"Mione? Severus?! Wait-" A silver engagement band was on Hermione's finger, and one with diamond and emerald was on Severus's. "Weasel cheated with Brown. Left me pregnant. Used spell so now the baby is Sev's. Going to do same with Rose. We're engaged now." Hermione explained, then she started crying.
She sobbed into Severus's neck, mumbling about how she's not good enough. Simultaneously, Harry and I ran to comfort her out of instinct. Severus stroked Hermione's hair as tears flowed from her eyes. I've never seen Severus this warm, comforting, loving. He must really love Mione.
"I could go get Rose for you if you want, Mione." Harry tried to calm her, but she only nodded, clutching Severus closer. He whispered into my ear; "Stay here. Ron still doesn't like you." A sad time was evident in his voice as he disapparated, blowing me a kiss as he vanished.
Harry's POV
As I appeared outside of their apartment, I knocked loudly on the door. "Ron?" I called, and Rose came to the door. "He's not home, Harry. I know you came to get me. Please take me now. I don't wanna be here when he gets back. He's angry."
Rose had ginger hair that she absolutely detested. It didn't match her insightful personality. Her luminous onyx eyes. Her anything, really. Grabbing Rose's hand, I disapparated just as Ron appeared in the fireplace.
When we arrived, Mione was calm. Draco and Professor Snape sat on either side of her as she snuggled into Snape's black cloak. "Mum!!" Rose ran into her arms, and Mione snapped her head up, embracing Rose like she would vanish any second.
"Mum, don't make me go back there. He is evil. He hit me Mum." Rose sniffled as I noticed the dark handprints on her neck. The bruises littering her arms. "I won't hun. You'll never have to see him again. I found you a new daddy. I knew him when I was your age. This is Severus Snape. And we're engaged."
A huge smile replaced the look of terror on Rose's face. She appraisingly looked him up and down, then hugged his neck. "Thanks for saving us Daddy."
