Set in a made-up medieval kingdom.

The boy was kind-looking, with chestnut hair that he always forgot to brush, eyes that showed you truth and lies, all at once. The way he smiles is like the sun on your face as you walk beneath it. He spends his work hours in the royal gardens, always lovingly pruning and planting... gardening is his talent. He loves to encourage the little roses to bloom.

The girl had an unsmiling expression with lips that hardly ever moved, but when she thinks others can't see, she throws longing glances to people she sees, at you, wishing for companions. Wishing she wasn't her father's daughter. Her heart feels cold as the castle walls, and just as guarded. When she smiles, you wish she could do it more often. Awkward and desperate, she wants change. She wants to change her life...
