Cat Noir types on the computer of the animals that were tested with human DNA. A parrot was a success that instead of mimicking, it talks normally. Another was a monkey that became super-smart by extracting half of a human brain within the monkey brain.

"Not only they enhance on humans but on animals as well," Cat Noir said, seeing a file of an octopus being able to shapeshift completely into objects.

"That's way beyond the rules of nature," Ladybug said.

"It's time to get to the bottom of this" Cat Noir said and walks out of the lab.

"You got it, kitty. But we need to be sure they don't send someone after us" Ladybug walks with him.

His senses tingle and he quickly covered her mouth with his hand, "Shhhhh" He gestures to her to be quiet. He pulls her to a hiding spot to see who's following.

"Get rid of the body! The experiment is a failure!" The scientist yelled.

"Yes sir!" They dragged the test subject away.

"Best we got out of here, now" Cat Noir suggests and stays behind the wall since he hears someone coming.

Once the person got close, Cat noir punched him in the face and leaps up to lock his head with his legs, and pins him to the ground.

"AAAGH!" The man grunts and taps Cat Noir's leg to give up.

"Give me one good reason I shouldn't break your neck?" Cat Noir hissed.

"AAARGH! Let me explain!" The man tried to speak.

"Cat Noir, stop!" Ladybug begged him to stop.

"No! I don't fall for tricks this time!" Cat Noir snarled, "Start talking!"

"Okay! We're part of a secret organization to use animal genes for enhancements on humans and to boost the abilities on the animals" The thug said.

"Go on!" Cat Noir demanded.

"That's all I know, I swear!" The man begged for mercy.

"Is that so? But killing people for the failures?!" Cat Noir lifted him.

"They couldn't make it through the process!" The man continued.

"You guys are crazy" Cat Noir headbutts him in the face to knock him unconscious, letting the body thud.

"Great, now we got to hide him" Ladybug complained.

"Look behind you," Cat Noir notices a janitor closet.

"Oh, that. Come on, let's stuff him inside" Ladybug lifted the unconscious thug with Cat Noir and placed him inside there.

"Let's go, Bugaboo" Cat Noir said as he locked the door.

"Stop calling me Bugaboo" She growled.

"Oh, sorry then" Cat Noir replied.

"Hmph!" Ladybug scoffed and they jumped up to the air ducts.

"We better get out of here quickly, kitty" Ladybug crawled fast.

"Now do you believe me when I said they were up to something?" Cat Noir asked and crawled to where the exit of the vent is.

"Now I do, what they do is inhumane," Ladybug said.

"Mixing animal DNA on a human is fatal" Cat Noir kicked the air vent grill down and got out.

Ladybug came after and put the vent grill back on, "Is that why you've been a lone wolf?" Ladybug asked.

"Yes, it's between me and them" Cat Noir nodded.

"You can't do this alone, kitty" Ladybug said.

"Why not? You've been a lone wolf too, milady" Cat Noir said.

"Perhaps we too would make a good duo after all" Ladybug said, crossing her arms.

"Whatever, but we are not lovers. Secondly, I work alone. I have cat powers; you just have swinging abilities" Cat Noir grinned.

"I got the power of luck," Ladybug said.

"I don't believe in luck; I believe in my instincts," Cat Noir said.

"Sheesh, you really do have a rough life. Is that why you like to be a thief?" Ladybug scoffed.

"Yeah, I like to be free," Cat Noir said.

"And why did you kiss me? We barely even know each other" Ladybug asked.

"You seem so purrfect for me" Cat Noir flirted.

"Ain't gonna happen, Kitty" Ladybug pouts.

"Sooner or later, there will be fan shippers" Cat Noir brought her close to him, and he licked her cheek slowly.

"Stop that! On second thought, I'm better off alone!" Ladybug backed off and swings away.

The feline was very fast and he lasso her with his whip, "How rude of you for a lady, bugaboo. I'm just getting to know you more often."

"Alright, but let's take it to a safer location," Ladybug said.

Cat Noir nibbled her neck a little, "And where would we be at?"

"Come with me" Ladybug and he got to the rooftops, away from the pet shop.

Once far away, Ladybug stood near a chimney with Cat Noir, "Alright this should be far enough" Ladybug said.

"Scaredy bug that your fans might see us?" Cat Noir smirked seductively.

"Yes, since we've only known each other for a few days and you still are into me. It seems a little wrong that a hero is dating a thief" Ladybug said.

"Milady, someday we might get close. Cats are predators and I always hunt for mice to eat. Metaphorically I mean. Take a look at my eyes and tell me what you see" Cat Noir said and Ladybug looks deep into his eyes and saw that his pupils are slightly slit like a cat.

"They are exactly like a cat's eyes, Kitty" Ladybug said.

"That's why I have cat powers. It's gonna sound crazy but....I wasn't born with these powers" Cat Noir said.

"You got them?" Ladybug guessed.

"Hear me out. I was just a boy and I sneaked into the pet shop and I discovered their secrets. Men with guns killed me and a cat saved me by bringing me to life. I was reborn as Cat Noir. Nine lives you can say". Cat Noir explained.

"Oh my god. That's why you're coming after them? For revenge for killing you?" Ladybug figured.

"Justice, not revenge. I wanna know why they are doing this." Cat Noir growled lowly.

"Oh, justice that is" Ladybug replied, feeling dumb for choosing the wrong word.

"And best of all, I can talk to cats" Cat Noir smirked.

"Aw, cute. Pity I can't" Ladybug said.

"I gotta go, milady" He kissed her back hand, "This thief needs his cat nap"

"See you soon, Kitty" She went the other way.

The next day, Adrien and his classmates are on the zoo field trip to learn about animals for biology class. He can hear the big cats talking which was new. He can't let anyone think he's weird, so he kept quiet and hear them talk.

"Come on dad get up!" He heard one lion cub trying to get his father up.

"It's too early, son. Go play with your sisters" The male adult lion said in a grumpy voice.

"Awww" The lion cub groans and runs off.

Adrien just shook his head smiling at how lazy the lion dad was. That explains why the dads are lazy and the moms always care for their cubs. Just like his father, that is very strict and always busy with fashion brand company.

"Pity, females do most of the hunting in the wild" Adrien said and then goes to the tigers but they see two males fighting like crazy.

"Come on! Test my strength!" The first male snarled.

"I'm far better than you!" The other male growled.

His classmates probably hear them roaring while he hears them talking.

"They are likely fighting for dominance" Alya recorded the tigers.

"Or for fun," Adrien said.

"How are you so sure?" Alya asked.

"Cubs are playful and when they are adults, they fight to see who is the strongest" Adrien.

"I see. Well with Lions the younger and stronger male takes over when the old one is too weak" Alya said.

Adrien can still hear all the big cats talking all at once it was really hard to stay focused, "Um? Oh yes, that's true." He tried to remain concentrated.

"Aw, look at that one" Marinette saw the tiger cub.

"He better watch out for the two adults fighting" Alya got worried.

Then, they head inside the aquarium and this was making Adrien feel awkward that there's so much fish. He had to control himself to not make a scene. Especially the water making him nervous too. Never in his life was he afraid of water until now.

"Dude, are you alright?" Nino noticed Adrien turning pale.

"Fine," He said in high pitch.

"Uh okay," Nino shrugs.

Adrien then looked at some sharks, "Oh god, I just can't stand being here!" Adrien thought.
