Chapter Two
Kine ran for his life, taking shelter in the boys bathroom and locking the door. The gym teacher ran past still on the search for him. A faint sigh passed through his pursed thinned lips as he slammed his back against the door, sliding down.
"Shit..." He muttered to himself, ears ringing. He shifted his weight to his feet and walked straight out the front door. Everyone and everything in school was horrified of him, except the gym teacher.
Zaki seeked refuge in the school's infirmary, not once her heart ceasing to race nor her shaking seeming to end. The nurses have left, and it was her alone. They let her stay at the school overnight, or that she could leave and go back to her dorm at any time. Nayzaki refused to leave in fear. Every creak sent violent shivers down her spinal cord and white noise ring through the back of her head.
Opening the door slowly, Zaki squeaked and hid under the covers as Kine's masculine hand slowly let it's grip off the door.
"Kid-"
His start of a apology was cut off by Zaki's squealing.
"D-don't hurt me! Leave me alone! Please! I-I'm sorry...!" She shouted, the tips of her bloodied and cut fingers clutching the bedsheets over her head. Kine slowly walked over and removed the opaque sheets from her quaking body.
"Kid, I didn't know you were a girl. Why are you wearing the guys' uniform?" He asked, and her small horrid hues met his calm ones.
"Get away!" She squealed, and Kine gripped her wrist.
"I'm saying I'm sorry. Here." He placed a small object in her hands. It happened to be a little silver necklace with a pendant of two little waves.
"It used to be mine," He started, forcing it to her hands.
"I'm an Aquarius. I doubt you are too, but I just need to apologize. So, I'm sorry." He let her hand go and slipped away from the sheets, walking to the door. Zaki muttered something softly.
"Libra."
"What?"
"Libra," she said in a louder and sterner tone.
"I'm a Libra. My name is Nayzaki. Most people refer to me as Zaki." She stated, her shaking starting to cease.
"Sorry." He retorted once again, heading for the door.
"Can you stay here?" She asked in a soft tone, her face turning a faint shade of pink. Kine's nose copied her action as he nodded faintly.
"Sounds stupid... But I guess 'cause I need to make it up to you."
He sat down softly on a creaky wooden chair next to her, and the two were silent for the rest of the night.
