[7] you was staring at my-
We all got ready to go bowling with Tre, Mike and Billie. Which I thinks absolutely stupid.
But we got ready despite my thoughts, we got drove to bowling by Mae's mom. And we waited in the stupid café for them.
I sat with my arms folded, sort of sulking. I did not wanna deal with this shit. I wanted to be home. Not here.
Yes I was of course happy I would be seeing Billie Joe, but from the lack of sleep last night I was tired, cranky and frustrated with even the thought of trying to bowl a fucking bowling ball.
"Mike said they've just got into the parking lot, and they should be in here in no time." Mae announced speaking up. Kennedy and Layla nodded as I sort of became sarcastic.
"Ooh great." I huffed.
But they didn't even take any notice, soon enough. There they was. Mae got up and hugged Mike. And Tre said hi to everyone but I noticed Billie came and walked straight over to where I was sat, and stood behind my seat.
"I'd watch out if I were you, she's in a little bit of a mood." Layla warned Billie.
"S'all good, I like them feisty."
We got up from the café table and paid for our bowling. We were put in our bowling lane as I sat down while Mae and Mike sorted out the names on the bowling tally on screen. And to my surprise as I sat waiting impatiently, Billie sat next to me.
"What's wrong Dolly?" He asked me pouting, I looked away from him. Not quite sure what I was trying to achieve but I looked away. "Hey- hey come on. What's up?"
"She's been like this all day." Kennedy shrugged to Billie overhearing. "I was hoping you'd cheer her up."
"Sure, I'll take her to the bathroom give us ten, maybe fifteen minutes and she'll be out happy as anything in no time." He teased. I couldn't help but sort of smile, but I tried my hardest to not, but he caught me. "Hey- hey! I made you smile!" He smiled pointing at my face.
"Whatever."
"Aww come on, I'm only here for you y'know." He whispered. "And I can tell your not exactly up for this idea anyway. But you came, so I'm guessing your here for me. So how about we just be angry together- but! Not at each other." He suggested. And I mean he was right, I only came for him. And I liked his way of thinking. I liked it a lot. I liked how he always made a good point and how he always made me feel sort of better.
"Okay." I smiled.
"See!" He grinned happy with himself. "I knew you wouldn't stay angry for too long at me." He slung an arm around my shoulder and sort of pulled me closer. As I took in his scent: cigarettes, boys cologne, weed, and sort of like a candle that had been blown out recently. Or a campfire. Something along the lines.
"You're turn Billie," Tre told him sitting down, I looked up at the tv keeping track of everyone's score to see Tre had got a Strike.
Billie got up as he grabbed a ball, I turned to Tre. "You got a strike, well done!"
"Thanks," He gave me a face of Bravo. "I use to come here a lot."
"You did? With who?"
"Billie and Mike, they'd call me at stupid hours and we would come down here and bowl a lot," He laughed shrugging. "Billies real good too." I looked over at Billie to see him jumping around, celebrating like a child. I looked up at the TV to see he had also just got a strike.
"See that!" He laughed coming back over. "I'm a legend at bowling!"
I couldn't help but giggle, not laugh. But giggle. Something I didn't know I was capable of. "Congratulations dumbass." I smiled as he sat back in his place.
"Why thank you babe."
We bowled for a bit, I sat down next to Layla after bowling as Billie went up for his turn.
"While you was bowling." Layla whispered to me as we both watched Billie bowl "When you bent over to bowl I swear to you Billies eyes got wider."
I felt myself redden so fast as I became giddy. "Really?"
She nodded laughing.
Billie came back from his go.
"I'm gonna go get a drink." He announced as he began walking over to the café not far from where we was bowling.
Layla nudged me. "Go!" She whispered over to me.
I nodded as I stood up. "Me too." He looked behind him. "I'll come with you." I quickly said catching up to him. We walked over to the café part together.
"Did you get a nice view?" I smirked over to him. I watch him go red.
"What view?" He asked avoiding eye contact.
"I heard you was looking at me while I was bowling, did you get a nice view?"
"I-I don't even know what you're on about." He stuttered still looking around.
"My ass Beej." I gave away bluntly. "I was told you was staring at my behind."
His face could not of gone any redder. "N-no! Not at all!"
I smiled and nodded as we ordered a two slushies and walked back to the lane.
"Are you sure, Layla told me she swore your eyes got bigger when I bended over to bowl."
"I'm not listening!" He shouted over me running in front to the lane.
We carried on bowling for a bit as it was me and Billie both fighting to win, but in the end he won first spot.
We got out of bowling. And the girls were talking to Mike and Tre, as me and Billie were a bit away from them having our own conversation.
"You played pretty shit today." He laughed to me. I looked over at him and smiled.
"You won by a few points don't brag." I laughed.
"I was way better than you and you know it."
"Shut up, you looked at my ass and you won't even admit it,"
"No I didn't!"
"Don't lie!"
He sighed. "I didn't mean to, it was right in my view when I was watching you bowl I-"
"-Enjoy your view?" I asked him, kind of beginning to flirt.
"What?" He asked me surprised.
"Did you... enjoy the view?"
He looked around for a second. "I'm not sure how I'm suppose to answer that." He laughed nervously.
"Just tell me,"
"Yeah?" He slowly hesitated.
I nodded smiling. "So that's all you paid attention to?"
"No," He quickly defended. "I wasn't just staring at your ass the whole time Echo. I was staring at you the whole night. But when you would bowl your ass would happen to be in my view and-"
I cut him off "- And you didn't hesitate to look away?"
"Yeah," He chuckled. "I guess so."
There was a pause.
"Why was you staring?"
"Because you looked good tonight." He smiled looking down at me. I smiled back. "You and your ass." He smirked.
"You had to add that!" I laughed pushing him playfully. He chuckled.
"But you did," He repeated in a serious tone as we stood still, I'm not sure what he was looking at. But I focused on the moon. The way it lit up the sky had me hypnotised. And he looked at me. "You looked really nice, and I could not of been any happier to see you was joining tonight."
"You don't mean that," I smiled.
He nodded. "I do, I mean every word of it."
I looked at him. I wanted to kiss him. But I didn't know if he wanted to kiss me.
"I wish I could say the same." I giggled as I walked over to Mike, Tre, Layla, mae and Kennedy.
"You're such a bitch!" He laughed following behind me.
