[13] Don't get used to it

"You guys should've been there they were awesome!" Mae exclaimed to the friendship group as we sat around the table at dinner.

"Yes Mae, you've said," Layla laughed.

"They were! You should have seen Mike! He was awesome,"

"I'm sure he was," Kennedy nodded to her.

"He was- then- then we went to meet them like backstage or whatever and-" She switched her sentence frequently trying to decide what she wanted to speak about. "-And I hugged Mike- then Billie asked if he could sign Echos tits then-"

"-Hold up!" Layla shouted quickly stopping her, Mae stopped confused.

I felt myself become embarrassed, I knew I was probably a very bright shade of red so I hide my face in my hands as I heard Kennedy speak.

"Billie asked to sign your tits!?" She shouted over to me.

I quickly looked over at her. "Kennedy shut up!" I ushed worriedly. "Don't say that so loud,"

"Well!?" Layla asked.

"Well, what?"

"Did he sign them?"

"No!" I said quickly, "Course he didn't,"

"He pinned her down and sat on her and he signed her forehead instead," Mae told them. I looked over at her wide eyed.

"Mae shut up!"

"He pinned you down!?"

"With the help of Tre," I added.

"He really sighed your forehead?" Kennedy asked me.

"Sorta," I shrugged. "He just wrote 'Billie joes property,' in capitals."

They all began to squeal in excitement.

"No way!"

"That's so cute!"

"It is?" I questioned. They nodded at me with big smiles, even Mae did.

"Of course is it!"

"How did you convince your parents to let you go out?" Kennedy asked me.

"I told them I was going to Mae's house to do homework. Mae came to mine so it was more believable and before we left I made it clear I was leaving with her," I told them. When going anywhere. I always had to have a full proof plan with my parents. Because they were not generous with letting me go to places like Gilman to watch boy bands.

"Are you seeing him any time today?"

"Yeah," I smiled slightly to her, "He invited me over to his house later,"

"Score!"

~

"It was right across my forehead Beej!" I laughed to him, rolling my eyes in annoyance but couldn't help but to smile straight after.

"You gave me the idea," He shrugged innocently. "You literally said 'or my forehead,'"

"I didn't think you'd pin me down to the ground and write with a marker across it!"

"You should never assume what I'll do, cause I'll most likely do it if you think I won't,"

"Well, I know that now," I slightly smiled. "I guess the only thing I assumed is that you weren't as crazy as you really are,"

"You think I'm crazy?" He smirked.

"Yes!"

"I'm not crazy,"

"You're the definition of crazy, you're always doing crazy things,"

"Alright like what?" He asked crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Okay... like..... erm-"

"-You don't even have anything," He laughed.

"It's cause you put me on the spot!"

"Would you like me to do something crazy to make you feel better?" He asked me uncrossing his arms.

"Yes please,"

"Alright then," He smirked. That's when I became confused and a little nervous.

"What you got in mind...?" I asked nervously.

He slowly walked closer to me. And then it sorta clicked. He might be going to kiss me. Was he going to kiss me? He was totally about to kiss me.

I froze on the spot as he smiled walking closer. His face was in mine as I nervously smiled. We stood a few silent seconds where he stared straight through my eyes. Smiling with this hungry grin. C'mon idiot, kiss me then

Before he ducked down and threw me over his shoulder.

"Billie!" I squealed as he held me up off of the floor.

"You told me to do something crazy,"

"Picking someone up isn't crazy!"

"Wanna know what is though?" He asked. One arm securely holding me on his shoulder and the other holding my legs to keep me up.

"What?" I sighed as I stopped resisting. It was obvious I wasn't gonna get down by squealing.

"The fact that you thought I was gonna kiss you... I think that's pretty crazy,"

"I- no- no I-" I stuttered helplessly honestly feeling embarrassed. Not even knowing what I was trying to say. But whatever it was he cut me off.

"-Isn't it also crazy how I knew that?"

"You're wrong, I did not think you were going to-"

"-You were looking at my lips,"

"You were looking at mine!" I defended.

"C'mon Echo. Don't be stubborn. Admit it. You thought I was going to kiss you, didn't you?"

"Yes. Will, you put me down?"

"I don't know, I might have to keep you with me,"

"I'm not a fucking teddy bear you can carry around Billie joe, let me down," I smiled.

"That would be no fun,"

"You're annoying me,"

"C'mon, just lighten up a bit."

"Put. Me. Down!"

His bedroom door opened as Mike and Tre waltzed in. And Billie and I looked over surprised and confused- Billie must have become embarrassed being caught holding me up because he dropped me like a hot rock.

I thudded onto his bedroom floor with a bang as I winced. "Ow, Billie what the fuck- I didn't mean like that!"

"What's going on here?" Mike asked Billie with a mischievous smile as he poked Billie in his stomach. From the floor I looked up at Billie who was bright red in the face, his arms were crossed and he was trying to ignore Mike by looking away. But as Mike carried on he swatted his arms away.

"Will you stop!"

"Did we interrupt something Beej?" Tre joined in teasing him.

"Why are you both here?" Billie sighed as I got up from the floor dusting myself off.

"Well we didn't realise you had a girl over," Tre simply shrugged.

"Well, I do,"

"It's fine," I interrupted. "I should probably go home now anyway. My moms been blowing up my phone wanting to know my location so I should probably get back to her,"

"Oh,"

"Yeah..."

"Well... I'll walk you to the door," Billie excused walking past mike and Tre as we left his room. We walked down the stairs and he opened the front door. I thanked him for having me around and apologised for another early exit. It wasn't my fault. It was my moms. But I think he knew that by now.

"Hey don't worry about it," He smiled leaning in the doorway.

"I'll see you tomorrow at school,"

"I guess you will,"

I leaned over before quickly planting a kiss on his left cheek. He quickly stood up straight with a goofy smile holding his cheek. "Hey- remember what I said?"

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"Me too," I said quietly. Looking at his facial features closely, but found myself mostly looking down at his lips. I wanted to kiss him, maybe just to not exactly tell him but give him an idea the way I felt about him. And I didn't want this between us to just be a friends thing. So I gently placed a kiss on his left cheek, as I watched a smile crack onto his face he tried so desperately to hide, and the tip of his nose turn pink.

"Goodnight Echo."

"Goodnight Beej." I smiled as I turned to the pipes that reached my window.

"Next time-" he caught my attention, as I looked back at him. "- I think it should be on the lips." He winked, before carrying on walking off. I felt myself blush intensely as I reached my window I had left a crack open and I gently and quietly climbed through it.

"Next time... it should be on the lips?" He reminded me.

I rolled my eyes with a smile before leaning in again. And to give him what was suppose to be a quick peck on the lips.

But as I leaned in and our lips connected he pulled my body in close to him and quickly deepened the kiss before I could even realise.

But none to say the less, I did not mind at all. Not one bit.

So I kissed him back, my hand was in his hair and the other on his shoulder.

It must have lasted a moment or two. I felt my body frame pulled close to his. I could feel his heart beat in his chest. Before he pulled away. With a big smile.

"Well, that was another way to say goodbye," I smiled.

"I don't know, I like that way better."

"Don't get used to it,"

"I can't promise a single thing," He smirked with his hands up in defence.
