MAYA :

Three years later :

It's been a three years since I first came to Chicago, and It's everything I thought it would be. I have been acing all my classes and I am enjoying every bit of college.

In the beginning I was scared, I kept thinking things like - what if I'm the dumbest one there or, what if I don't make any friends and spend four years like a loner.

But thankfully everything turned out fine. I even made a best friend, Kiya.
She and I are like soul sisters.

She's from L.A. but came here to study English literature.
I met her on the first day when I asked her that if she could tell me where the chemistry lab is. She walked me down and by the time we reached the classroom we were already classing ourselves as close friends. In just three years she has become my best friend and confidant.

I am so happy to have gained a friend like her.

Currently I'm on my way to her house, she lives here in a two -bedroom apartment, alone. As soon as she opens the door, I'm being dragged to her room.

"Do you remember Nick?" I nod.

"Well guess what, he got us into FADE!" She started screaming like a mad -woman.

"Wait Nick, as in your hot classmate who is gay?" I said suddenly remembering him.

Kiya introduced me to him once, and let me tell you he really is hot. With his rugged blonde hair and brown eyes, and an athletic build , he has both men and women chasing him .

"Yeah, the same Nick. He got us into FADE, free of cost as one of the bouncers owes him a favour." She said.

"What's so great about FADE?" I question, but as soon as the words fall from my mouth, she stared at me as if I had grown two heads.

"Seriously Maya? You're hopeless. FADE is the hottest and most expensive popular club in all of Chicago. It's owned by a multi - millionaire who is also rumoured to be in the mafia. And we are going there tonight." She tries  to convince me.

"Should we not go there then, since it's owned by the 'mafia'?" I state the obvious.

"Oh, come on Maya, don't be so dramatic. I said it's a rumour, not all rumours are true, besides we are lucky enough to even get in that club. We are going and that's final." She points a finger at me as if daring me to challenge her .

"I even asked your aunt and she gave her permission for you to go, as long as we don't get in trouble".
Kiya already made up her mind, so I don't waste my time in trying to convince her otherwise.

"Fine, we'll go..." I reason, making her scream with joy.

"Yes! I even got a dress for you, now go take a bath, get shaved while I start getting ready." she says while pushing me into the bathroom.

After a shower and shaving, I came out in a bath robe, I stepped into the room and Kiya instantly started to drag me to the dressing table.

 She started on my make-up, making me sit like a statue for about 30 minutes so she could 'contour' my face. I open my eyes once she says that's she's finished and gasp.

Holy moly.  Kiya really did a phenomenal job.

"Damn girl, you look smoking hot, now go and change into the dress I have picked out for you. Henry is also coming tonight, and he is definitely going to stare at you the whole night if you wear that." Kiya refers to my boyfriend of five -months.

Yep, I also have a boyfriend, Henry. He is your typical bad boy. When I first came here, I heard that he's a use and throw type of guy. And why wouldn't he be, he's hot, rich and knows how to charm a woman.

At first I thought that he's just playing with me, but in these five months he proved that he is serious about us. He is very loving and attentive, he's perfect for me.

"I think you should finally give up your virginity, I mean come on, you're almost twenty and you have been going out with him for like five months. And he seems really serious about you." Kiya said, waking me from my train of thoughts.

For once I actually agree with her. we have been together for quite some time and he has never pressured me to do anything with him. I think he is the right man and I've waited long enough.

"Come on, let's go." She ushers me out of her room.

As soon as we reached our location, she went off to meet with Nick and some of his friends. While I began searching for Henry.

Suddenly two arms were  wrapped around my waist.

"Hey baby, you look beautiful as hell tonight." A blush covers my face at Henry's words.

"Can I get you a drink sweetheart?" He lifts his eyebrows in a questioning glance.

"Just a coke, please." I told him, and he went to go get our drinks.

After 10-15 minutes of waiting for him, I begin looking around for him.
I walked to the bar area but he is no where to be seen.

Thinking that he might have gone outside, I went to search for him. Just outside the main entrance i saw Henry. He was talking with one of his many friends in the corner.

Just as I begin walking towards them I hear something that makes me stop dead in my tracks.

"It's been five months Henry, and you still haven't tapped that ass. You do realize that you only have three weeks left. If these three weeks are up and you still don't get in her pants, you will loose the bet".A lump formed in my throat as the words left his friends mouth. I can't believe the things I'm hearing.

"Yeah man I know, but that chick is so damn stubborn. Every time I try to get close to her, she stops me and says that she is not ready. But I have made up my mind, tonight's the night. I will get her drunk and then at my place the deed will be done", said my so called boyfriend.

As soon as Henry turns around, he saw  me and got  the shock of his life. Their was a look of regret on his face .
Whether that look was of genuine regret or the fact that he realized that now he won't be able to win the bet - I wasn't sure .

I hadn't realized that I was crying until a tear slid over my lips. As he started coming towards me, I turned and started running, not wanting to be anywhere near that price of scum.

Suddenly, I bumped into someone. Just as I was about to fall, two arms caught me and saved me from hitting the ground.

In front of me was standing a Greek -God, with  blue eyes, dark brown hair that you just want to run your fingers through, and a perfectly sculpted face with a chiseled and muscular body . He seems to be more than six feet tall.

Suddenly I realise that I have been staring, basically eye -raping this handsome hunk for quite sometime. But it seems as if it doesn't bother him seeing as he too is staring at me.

A blush trailed up on my face from my shame of being caught but excitement also as he too was staring at me continuously.

Suddenly he broke the silence surrounding us.

"Are you okay?" The mystery man look up at me.

"Um...y-yeah...I-I'm f-fine". I scold myself for stuttering like a school girl, and bit my lip in annoyance.

"I'm Maya." I said, hoping to at least get his name, seeing as this may be the first and last time that I will see him.

"Well nice to meet you Maya, I'm Nikolai..."

LITTLE DID I KNOW, THAT I WILL DEFINITELY BE SEEING A LOT MORE OF HIM IN THE FUTURE......
