Siren's name: Lyssa
=====================================================================
Your POV
My friend and I laugh as a few humans tell us jokes. We decided to take a break from our swimming and perched ourselves in a nearby harbor. Although my nerves were starting to get to me when the sun started to set.
"Nerine we really should be going." I whisper to her grabbing her arm as I eye the once friendly water wearily, "The sirens are going to be coming out soon."
"Aw." One of the humans pout obviously not having heard my second sentence, "Can't you stay a few more minutes?"
My friend goes to answer them when her breath suddenly hitches, a dangerous scent coming over us.
"I'm afraid we can't." Nerine smiles nervously her eyes scanning the area around us
Without another word we dive back in the water, swiftly swimming away from the rocks. We keep our eyes out for any movement in the water, knowing that if they already saw us then we were good as dead. Even though we are fast swimmers, Sirens are much faster and stronger than us. As we continue to flee the area I see something move to the left of us. Nerine must've saw something too since we both begin to swim faster. In my peripheral I can see more shadows moving towards us, kicking us into panic mode. It doesn't help however, and suddenly three sirens appear in front of us, cutting us off.
"Going somewhere?~" One of them coos
Within seconds we're surrounded with no way out. I scoot closer to Nerine who wraps her arm around me protectively. The sirens smirk at the display but suddenly stop when two others approach us.
"What do we have here?~" The orange haired siren smirks eyeing me like a piece of meat
The blue haired one beside her eyed Nerine, not bothering to hide the lustful look in her eye,
"It's late out here lil 'maids. You don't want to be eaten now do you? Or maybe you wanna be taken away by us hm?~"
"Let us pass." Nerine growls
Suddenly she was gone from beside me, the blue haired girl grabbing Nerine and pinning her to her front, "I'm afraid we can't. Besides I'm hungry and you're right in front of me~"
The orange haired leader grabs me before I could even try to help my friend, "Save the struggles for later, darlings. You don't want to waste your energy here~"
"Y-You're not going to e-eat us are you?" I ask trembling in her grip
"Not in the way you're thinking~" She chuckles nuzzling me
A blush creeps onto my face as Nerine speaks up.
"And how do we know if you're telling the truth or not?"
I look at the orange haired siren as her smile drops, her eyes growing a lighter orange.
"Calm down Lyssa. They're just fearful little things." The blue haired siren cooed securing her grip on my friend as she thrashed in her arms, "They'll understand once we bring them back to the den and calm them down."
"You're right Kyvia." Lyssa sighs beginning to drag me further down into the depths
I whimper thrashing around in her grip as the other sirens try to calm the two of us down. They try to calm us down with sweet whispers but we weren't falling for it. As we continued to struggle, our two captors look at each other before they started singing. We were helpless against the melody, and as it reached our ears our struggling slowly came to a stop. Lyssa kisses my cheek while they keep us in the trance, dragging us down to their den.
After a few minutes their singing stops and as we were pulled our trances, we realized we were in their den. The other sirens quickly left Lyssa and Kyvia's sides, swimming over to embrace their children and spouses. Some of the spouses greeted us while we passed, Lyssa and Kyvia responding with a nod. Kyvia takes Nerine down a separate way, and I whimper trying to reach out to her.
"We won't hurt you." Lyssa assures me running one of her webbed hands through my hair, "You and your friend will be fine."
She swims into what I assume is her room, and gently sets me down on her bed. I look up at her in fear, still waiting for her teeth to sink into me despite her words. Although surprisingly her hand gently cups my face, my eyes staring into her orange ones. A before her lips gently press into mine. Lyssa is rather gentle for a siren, the kiss being gentle yet passionate as I return it. After a few minutes she ends the kiss resting her forehead against mine.
"As you saw us sirens aren't horrible merpeople. We're not like the stories you mermaids tell of us. We have children and spouses just like you."
I see sadness flash in her eyes and I couldn't help but feel guilty. For some reason I find myself cupping her face when she starts to become more upset. It brings her attention back to me before I draw her in for another kiss.
