007.

AFTER THE ATTACK ON NEW YORK, Lana had felt different. She had gone back to S.H.E.I.L.D. with her sister and Clint but it wasn't the same. She had doctors run tests on her but they hadn't really found anything other than her DNA changing. This was a strange revelation but Lana assumed it was to do with her passing out after Loki's sceptre touched her.

She had strange feelings. She could hear the thoughts of probably every agent in the facility, sometimes even see, vividly, what they were thinking of. She had episodes where she would wake after a nightmare to see everything in her room floating, including herself.

She didn't know what was happening, but she didn't say anything. It was little things like this that could cause her to become a wanted person again. She had the ability to access anyone's mind and that power was unprecedented.

The thing that had caused her to say something was in the training room with Natasha and they were working on hand to hand combat. Natasha punched her in the shoulder and pain shot through her body, "Ow Nat." Her shoulder hadn't fully healed but it was getting there and Natasha punching it wasn't helping the healing process.

"Sorry," Natasha replied as Lana massaged her shoulder. The pain stopped and she looked confused, "What's the matter?"

"Nothing" Lana replied. She involuntarily read her sister's thoughts, "I'm not lying."

"I didn't say you were."

"You were thinking it," Lana muttered.

Natasha's eyes narrowed, "Didn't we talk about reading my mind without permission."

"I'm sorry. I can't control it," Lana blurted.

"I thought you said you had it under control? Lana?"

Lana turned to face her, "I did. And then New York happened and it slipped. I wake up hearing everything for miles and I can't stop."

"God, Lana, why didn't you tell me?"

"It's things like this that makes me a threat."

Natasha sighed in understanding, "Okay. Please stop lying to me though. What just happened?"

"The pain. The dull ache. It's gone."

Natasha came around and pulled back the t-shirt Lana was wearing. She stared in amazement as the small scar from Lana's bullet wound had disappeared.

"What the hell," Natasha mumbled

"What?"

"The scar, from the bullet, just disappeared. Into thin air," Natasha replied, "We should get you checked out."

"You're not going to tell them, are you? About my mind?" Lana asked quickly.

"No. I promise." Natasha ushered her to the medical wing and sat her down explaining the situation to the doctor. Thankfully she mentioned nothing about Lana's telepathy.

"Okay, we'll run some tests," the doctor nodded as he took some blood. He placed the slide under the microscope before turning to her, "Your DNA changed after the battle."

"How?" Lana asked.

"You have been exposed to a vast amount of things. Mind Control, Truth Serums and, now, two sets of Cosmic Energy. Your powers are growing exponentially. There is no saying what is happening. But all I can say is if you're exposed to this again... I'm not sure what would happen."

Lana nodded as he smiled, "Thank you, Dr Fine."

"You're welcome, Agent."
