.: Six's P.o.V. :.
Six jolted awake to see Seven holding her arms, she could see that dawn was breaking in and the fire was already in a low glow. Seven looked frantic and worried, Six couldn't blame him about that since she felt clammy but slightly sweating, her breathing was shallow and there was some tears streaming down her face.
Seven sighed out in relief, "Thank God! You were having another fit," he said while hugging Six. Six shivered slightly, she could still feel the shadows swirling and trying to take her breath. She took a deep breath and wrapped her arms around Seven, calming down.
"I just had a nightmare, nothing big," Six lied, it was something big. She swore she felt and knew that she was wide awake, like that first time back at her house...
Six shook the thought away, like back at her house, she was asleep. It was a dream, just a dream. It's wasn't reality, she wasn't awake. It was all in her subconsious. A very, very lucid dream.
What Shadow Six said though; that was important. Everything Shadow Six said had etched into Six's mind, and Six remembered her words clearly. Like she was still there telling her about it, ringing and echoing, again and again.
And that prophecy.
Clearly their quest was once again foreshadowed with that prophecy. It still rang in Six's ears and it was amazing how she could still remember it.
Both that caused a massive headache for Six.
"Are you sure?" Seven asked, causing Six to snap out of her thought and remember the conversation they were having. Six nodded, "Yes, it was just a nightmare," she lied.
A lucid nightmare, that is.
Seven frowned, he didn't seem like he was convinced about it. Six felt the cold sweat run down in the back of her neck and she gulped nervously. When did Seven's stare made Six so... guilty?
"Six..." he sighed, "Okay, it was just a nightmare. I was getting worried for you and tried to wake you up, but you couldn't. Can you... please tell me about it?"
Six blinked, she stared up at Seven's face. He really wants to know, of course he would want to. She took a deep shaky breath and nodded, "Okay..." she mumbled.
With another shaky breath she told just bits of what happened, not that she felt it was so real or the first dream she had that also felt real. Six didn't know how Seven would react to it, and probably it wouldn't be good especially now she was questioning her sanity.
She will tell him, in time. Just not now.
Once Six was finished Seven just leaned close and hugged Six, Six pursed her lips and hugged back, accepting the comfort and warmth Seven was giving her. Slowly she didn't felt that cold or stuffy, she felt safe.
"Shadow Six still messes your mind huh?" Seven mumbled and Six nodded, "That 'dream'... felt very real, and I could feel the shadow children strangling the life out of me," she mumbled, shivering slightly once she remember the cold darkness gripping on her neck and dragging her into the abyss.
Seven leaned back and gazed down at Six's face, then cupped her cheek, "It was just a dream Six. And hey, if that does happen while we are here, you know I will be there. We can do this together."
Six bit her lip, now she felt more guilty not telling all of that dream. Yes she did say it felt very real, but she didn't say it was like it was real. She doesn't know what category she would put for those two 'dreams', so it wouldn't be good if she told it now, without even knowing what the answer is.
But she nodded.
"Yeah, together..."
Seven smiled and kissed Six's forehead, "Come on, let's go and find the others," he said while letting go of Six. Six frowned, she wanted more of his comfort to ease her guilt, or not - Six just felt it would just kill her inside more. She nodded and wiped her eyes, "Okay, we should," she said and stood up.
The fire flickered until it died out and the smoke rose up to the sky. Six hoped just like the fire she can die out the thoughts she's having. Oh how heavy her heart felt, she just wanted to stay there and crumple up in a ball then-
"Six? Are you okay?"
Six blinked, snapping out her thoughts. She turned to Seven and forced a smile, she will tell him. But not now, like her hunger. That happened accidentally--
So wait if she didn't got hungry that time, Seven wouldn't found out? Six would have to lie until she got her courage to? And when would that happen?
She took a deep breath and shook the thoughts away, "I'm fine, let's go," she mumbled and Seven gave her another look of worry before nodding and holding her hand, together they walked on into the Forest with the sun rising up, peeking through the leaves.
Time will tell when she will tell Seven... That, and when she finally finds out that if her dream now and before was really just a dream... Or it was something else.
==================
.: Seven's P.o.V. :.
Everything was going swell until a stupid wolf showed up.
They walked on and saw a cliff, it wasn't that high since they could see what was on the top of the cliff, which - suprise surprise - is more trees. They only needed to climb the stone ledges that looked pretty unstable to grip or step on.
"Hm, I could push you up and you can grab that ledge," Seven said and turned to Six, "It would work right?"
Six looked at the cliff and nodded, "Yeah," she said in a daze-like voice. Seven noticed how off she was. With that look Six had on her face, Seven knew something was wrong, and his gut told him it was about that nightmare... Like there was something more about that which he doesn't know of.
Well, if Six would tell it or not, Seven would just have to wait for her to tell the big problem - if there is a big problem.
Seven nodded, "Okay then. I'll push you up," he said while letting go of Six's hand and crouching down with his hands locked together like a stepping stool. Six stepped unto his hand and he pushed her up - geez she's a bit heavy but oh well- Six then stepped unto his shoulders, Seven's holding her ankles so she wouldn't fall off, and she reached out for the ledge.
"Can't... reach," she said and Seven leaned closer to the cliff and tip-toed, "Can you reach it now?"
Six placed her foot on Seven's head, making his look down and she wobbily stood up and grabbed the ledge. She grunted and pushed herself up and to the top of the cliff, she sighed out and turned to him, reaching out her hand for him to hold onto.
"Okay, now hold on!" Six called down and Seven was about to step on the ledges so he could reach Six's hand. That was when he heard something sneaking up behind him.
Seven turned to see the bushes were being pushed aside, like something was sneaking up behind him. There was a low growl and Seven could see a wolf with a scar on their eye, crouched down in a stalking posistion.
Seven slowly backed up and Six gasped, "Hurry Seven!" She called from up on her spot on the cliff and her hand streched out as far she she can reach. The wolf barked before lunging for Seven's neck, and Seven pulled out his flashlight, he hit the lower jaw of the wolf with the butt of his heavy flashlight.
The wolf tumbled to the side and its back hit the tree. Seven put his flashlight back inside his pocket and quickly turned to climb the stone ledges, Six reached down, "C'mon!" She said, Seven jumped and grasped on Six's hand, the wolf barked and shook off its daze befote running up to them.
Six pulled Seven up with all her strength while the wolf tried to step on the stone ledges and nip on Seven. The wolf jumped and nipped on the dangling chain of Seven's cuff, then it landed on the ledge and started pulling him down.
"Let me go you mutt!" Seven shouted while shaking the wolf's grip on the chain. The wolf growled and still pulled down. Six took a deep breath and pulled Seven up, Seven kicked the wolf with his other foot and the wolf scrambled down.
Finally Six heaved him up, she lied down and gasped, "You're heavy," she sighed and Seven huffed, "I know I am. You are a bit heavy too you know," he said.
"Understandable, I eat lots," Six shugged while sitting upstraight. The wolf was barking down below and Seven went to the edge to see the wolf trying to climb the stone ledges but is failing.
"Anklebiter!"
Seven jolted from the voice, Six stood beside him, "That voice is familiar..." she mumbled.
There was a tall figure in the shadows of the Forest, Seven held on Six's hand and together they hid behind one of the bushes. Seven peeked out to see the Hunter come into veiw with his rifle over his back with a bloody sack.
The wolf turned to the Hunter and wagged its tail, running up and standing on its hind paws, jumping slightly on the sight of the Hunter.
The Hunter chuckled and crouched down, letting the wolf rest its front paws on his knee. He then patted the wolf behind its ear, "Alright, ya lil' Anklebiter. What didya find boy?"
Seven jaw hung agape, The wolf is the Hunter's pet?!
The wolf grumbled before the Hunter let go, the wolf turned and glared at the cliff. The Hunter looked up to the cliff and down to his pet, "Over the cliff huh?" He said and the wolf continued to point over the cliff.
Seven and Six froze, knowing they are screwed.
Six gripped on Seven's hand and Seven tightened his grip on her hand, they slowly tried to sneak away as the Hunter helped his wolf up over the cliff, "Go find 'em boy," he ordered.
The wolf sniffed before it growled at them from the other side of the bushes. Before the wolf could lunged at either of them, Seven stood up and ran away with Six following behind.
The wolf chased them, growling and barking. Leaping over the bushes and slowly gaining on them. Seven looked around, but there wasn't any place they could run to loose the canine.
See, everything was going swell until the wolf showed up.
There was a long big log ahead on a river, acting like some bridge. The hole was enough for them to fit but not the wolf, Seven pointed to it, "Over there!" He said and Six nodded. They urged to run faster into the log, once they made it, the wolf bit Six's raicoat.
Seven gasped, "Six!"
Six pulled her raincoat as Seven held on tight so she wouldn't be caught by the wolf. The wolf also pulled, trying to get Six.
"Let... go.. of.. me!" Six grumbled while kicking the wolf's nose hard. The wolf whimpered and let go, shaking its head in a daze. Seven sighed out and pulled Six deeper into the log, Six huffed and straightened her raincoat, "That was close," she said.
"Yeah... C'mon, it's not yet safe," Seven said and Six nodded, they ran through the log until it starts to shake. Seven gasped while stumbling and Six yelped when there was a muzzle that shot into one of the holes.
"Get down!" Seven ordered and Six quickly crawled, avoiding the wolf's muzzle trying to bite them. They quickly crawled to the other side as the wolf tried to claw open the log and bite them.
"This wolf doesn't know when to quit huh?" Six grumbled while the wolf once again tried to nip her from a hole. Unfortunately she have forgotten to bring that stick she found, so.... yeah it was hard to fight back.
"Heh, yeah," Seven mumbled while dodging another attack from the wolf above. They made it to the other end of the log and ran away, the wolf growled and followed.
They made it to a fork, the right one was heavily shrouded with foliage and the other seemed to go to another cliff.
"Oh god which one?!" Seven mumbled while looking over the two sides, the wolf was far behind them, but was closing in on them. Six examined the two sides before pointing at one of them, "Let's go to the on the right one," Six suggeted and Seven nodded. Quickly they ran into the right one, pushing past all the tree branches and shrubs they pass by.
The farther they ran the fainter the wolf's bark was. Seven stopped and turned to where they just passed through, panting a bit, "Did we... finally lost it?"
Six panted and looked around, before nodding slowly, "I think so... I can't hear it."
Seven sighed out from relief and exhaustion, "Great," he said and Six nodded, before her stomach started growling. She winced and held onto her stomach, "Ugh, now I'm getting hungry," she mumbled.
Seven blinked before patting his pockets and felt the bread he stole from that doll's camping site. It was the last one but it could be enough for Six.
"Here," he said while handing over the bread, Six took it and ate it before sighing and leaning to a tree, "Thanks-"
There was a snap and a net which Seven didn't see shot up, capturing Six in it. Six gasped and shook around, "YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME," she shouted.
Seven gasped, "Calm down Six! I'll get you down!" He said while looking around for the net.
"You can't get her down, you know."
Seven jolted from the familiar voice and turned to see one of those doll students, from the sound of their voice it was Bill.
Seven inched back and turned, ready to run until he felt someone knock a hard object on the back of his head.
